Great book, full of interesting content and well written. I would definitely recommend to those looking for self care inspiration either gor themselves or as a gift.
I really enjoyed all the different tips and self care ideas. Great informative book and easy to read so I read it in one day.
This is a fairly standard self-care book, but with a witchy twist to it.
Corinth runs through most of the "pampering" self-care suggestions -- hot baths, meditation, etc. -- and frames suggestions as 'communicating'. This is a neat way to frame her suggestions and I will be trying some of them. I did appreciate the nod to 'not everyone has a bathtub', as I haven't been able to have a comfortable bath in years. (We're moving, so I have hopes for bathing in the new house)
Other suggestions are built around finding a community (or coven), making a comfortable space for yourself and finding which occult tools work for you.
There's nothing terribly earth-shattering or brand new here, but Corinth writes well and I'll be going back over this and trying some things out. The illustrations are lovely and really compliment the book.
I received an advance copy of this book from Netgalley, my views are my own.
This book feels just like all the other trendy books focused on witchcraft and self-care, only combining the two. It's not bad, but it's nothing earth-shattering. There are some helpful rituals and spells, but overall it didn't particularly strike me as something I would utilize in my own life.
This book is excellently written and described but I just couldn't get into it when reading. I normally like this genre however it is not my favourite. For someone who loves this genre, you would love this book without a doubt.
Another great addition to my magical library! Full of spells, information on many different facets of the craft and caring for ourselves using the natural elements!
Beautifully illustrated and thoroughly researched, The Witch's Complete Guide to Self-Care provides practitioners with an abundance of knowledge. This is a great resource for anyone, whether new to the craft or seasoned.
The Witch's Complete Guide to Self-Care by Theodosia Corinth is the perfect book to add to my collection. There are meditations and mantras that I can use for my craft. There are recipes for teas, baths, and protection spells. Tarot cards, healing crystals, Overall, this book offers a good overall introduction into witchcraft and helps teach you practices that will help to reconnect to mind, body, and spirit.
This is a really interesting book that weaves both self care and magic together. It explores the importance of self care and how we can incorporate it more into our lives and the ways in which we can do this in a more spiritual way. There are lots of exercises throughout that you can try out while you are reading to help you find a self care routine that fits your own needs and spiritual practice.
I gave this 3 stars.
The witches complete guide to self care by Theodosia Corinth is a beautiful book full of magical tips on living a spiritually fulfilling life and incorporating self care into your daily practice. The book goes over magical baby care , connecting with the universe for spiritual care and helping you connect to your community.
Interesting and inspiring ideas, some that were a bit generic "self care" stuff and some that were more witchy and unique. Fun, easy read.
I really enjoyed this book for what it was, as someone who reads a lot of metaphysical novels. I spent a lot of time going through this one... I believe it took a month to finish as it didn't 100% keep my interest. However, I find it to be a good start for those new to practicing, and would recommend it to newbies.
An introduction more to self-care mixed in with some magic. Decent for wanting some ideas. Do get some visuals with the text.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an e-copy of this book.
This is a good book for beginners and is beautifully produced and illustrated. It has enough detail to give a broad overview and at the same time stimulate interest in further research.
I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I am all about self-care. This book provides the different parts of self-care. The mind and body are two of the levels of that care. I like all the little things in boxes that help guide the reader through the different exercises and rituals. I found that tips and journal prompts helpful and want to add more of this book into my self-care routine.
I found this book a highly informative read. It was colourful, engaging and gave some great advice without being over whelming.
I read this book on my phone, which made the format a little confusing. I will be buying an actual copy of this book because I loved it and would love to use this book.
I’ll be posting a full review post on my bookstagram page and goodreads @pagesoftea_ soon!
Thank you so much for giving me an ARC of this book, I throughly enjoyed it.
Great book about self care. People always forget they need to take care of themselves and this book is a beautiful reminder.
I have to start by saying the photos in this book are absolutely stunning! This is definitely a book you want to have a physical copy of and it would make a great gift. There is so much information in The Witch’s Complete Guide to Self-Care by Theodosia Corinth. I really enjoyed it and would recommend this book to anyone, whether they are interested in witchcraft or not. I loved the focus on self-care and how it is “meant to build resilience, fortify the spirit, and help us better serve one another.” Yes! What resonated with me most was the Herbal Allies for Sleep and Rest, working with daily meditation and the chapter on Astrology and Tarot was so interesting! I really enjoyed this book.
Thank you NetGalley for the advanced digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed it and it is on my Christmas wish list this year. I want the physical copy for myself as well.
This was a quick read for me and I did enjoy some of the information. I felt like this was a quick scan over self care and did not really go in depth. I also had a lot of formatting problems with this book but that could be because it was an E-book version. I wish there was more information in here but over all it was a good read. I finished the entire book in about an hour.
I was prompted to read this book by it's cover and the need to update my self care routine.
Beautiful pictures, excellent suggestions for self care in a calming, mind opening method(s). It is a book that would make an excellent addition to any library as it would be well used!
I received a copy thanks to NetGallery for an honest review.
