Holly Snow has always put the needs of others before her own. When her father died and her mother started showing signs of dementia, she put off going to college. When she was finally able to start classes, her sister and brother in law were taken in an automobile accident leaving their daughter Faith an orphan, and Holly as her guardian. She's taken endless odd jobs in order to make ends meet, but it still remains tight, especially with having Faith's tuition for pre-school even being on scholarship, as well as any other needs that come along. Nonetheless, she always makes it work. Her best friend Toni knows just how hard things are for Holly, so when an opportunity arises that will help Holly financially, she's all over it to help her loyal friend out. What could be so hard about being her prestigious and wealthy bosses personal shopper for the holidays? Though taxing at times trying to decide what exactly to buy so many people that have such expensive taste, Holly makes the best of it. As luck would have it, her boss Archie is in need of more services than just being his personal shopper. He is up for the biggest promotion of his life at the family business as his uncle is due to retire soon. The only problem? His running mate and cousin has exactly what his uncle is desiring for the position. A family. So what other option does Archie have but to hire Holly to pose as his loving girlfriend? Sure she's not from their world, but it's only for a short amount of time and then they will part ways both getting what they want and being happy. What could possibly go wrong? It's not like they'll fall for each other, right?

This book was adorable. And precious. And funny. What a feel good story to read to start the year off!!

I love Hallmark movies, especially their Christmas movies. Mistle Text should seriously be made into just that… a Hallmark Christmas movie so I can watch it year after year! Because this will be a book I read year after year.

The characters in this story are well thought out and they each have a major role into how this story is formed. This novel, for me, was so well written that I could place myself within the pages to live it myself.

Thank you to NetGalley, Whitney and Melanie for allowing me to read this novel for an honest review!

This book is a really cute romance book!

I had a lot of fun while reading this book, I just think that the chapters could be better distributed and also some of the dialogue could be clearer.

Overall I liked this book a lot!

Just a fun Christmas read! I will read the others now as well. Loved the aspect of the personal shopper who took the time to care about her client's list.

I never thought that I would love this book as much as I love it. It has everything I love in romance book, fake dating, family and a little of enemies-to-lovers. I just enjoyed reading every single thing and cannot help but ball my eyes out at the end. I really have a soft spot of books that deals with families and how they fall apart and be fixed after the conflict.

Mistle Text was a fun, sweet holiday romance with plenty of fun love story themes like rich man, pretend romance, and holiday love. The real standout was Faith, the niece of Holly who has lived with her full time since her parents died. She is precocious and every time she gets to speak, she lets us into the world and also what it feels like to be a child experiencing wealth for the first time.

The characters were all nice, there was real chemistry and the ending was very satisfying. I would have liked it to be a little longer since the end felt so very rushed.

A cute and cozy holiday romance! I loved the fake relationship, and I especially loved Archie and Holly's banter. I would've liked a little more heat between them and Faith's dialogue just didn't seem to fit her age, but overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 4.5/5 Stars
📚 Part of a series but reads as a standalone
📝 Clean Fake-Dating Romance; Alternating POV; available on KU!

If you’re looking for a cute Christmas Romance, look no further! Mistle Text is a clean fake-dating romance, with a Cinderella twist. This story will quickly get you into the holiday spirit with some sweet characters and a touch of drama.

The thing I loved the most about this book was the homey family feel that this story was given with 5-year-old Faith. While I grew to love the MCs Holly & Archie, Faith was the star of this story; you just couldn’t help but fall in love with her! There is nothing more joyful than experiencing Christmas alongside a child!

Such a cute and emotionally charged Christmas story! While the name Holly Berry Snow is quite ridiculous it did make me smile so it worked! Poor Holly and Faith have had a rough few years. Holly gets custody of her young niece when her sister and brother-in-law die in a car accident. Holly has been taking odd jobs ever since to keep up with the bills. They just can't seem to catch a break. I love the billionaire falls for commoner trope and this one was done very well. For once though it's the commoner who seems to be just a little too good to be true. It seems that everyone who knows Holly thinks of her like a saint, an angel on Earth. While it's wonderful she has such a good heart a little flaw would have been nice to make her more relatable. Faith is just adorable. I cried many times during this story because it is just so heartfelt. It needs to be a Hallmark movie! Toni is an amazing best friend and Archie is extremely swoon worthy. I loved that it didn't take much for him to see the light and make is decision for change. I also really loved the epilogue and how Archie chose differently than what I was expecting in regard to his career. Overall, I loved this story and recommend to those who love Christmas romance stories. Just have the tissues ready!

5/5 stars!!

Archie is a megarich, egotistical businessman in the top of his game in NYC. Holly is a down on her luck aunt who has been left to care for her 5 year old niece after her sister and brother in law are killed in a car accident. Holly's best friend Toni works for Archie, and she recommends Holly as his personal shopper for the holidays. Once the two meet, then you will not be able to put down this fun holiday read!

I am not typically a romance reader, but something about a love story set in the backdrop of Christmas is just the thing I want to read for the holidays. This book is warm, funny, uplifting, and heartwarming all in one. I loved the characters, and who doesn't love a Christmas story set in NYC?

If you are looking for a fun Christmas read, this is your book!

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I have decided to spend the month of December reading all Christmas books and this was a wonderful start!! I loved everything about this book…the characters, the storyline, the setting, the writing style….EVERYTHING! My favorite character was Faith (Holly’s niece). She was the sweetest, smartest and funniest little girl. This was true “feel good, get you in the holiday spirit, Hallmark Christmas movie-type book”. This is my first novel by Whitney Dineen and Melanie Summers but will not be my last!! I hope this book gets picked up by Hallmark and a Christmas movie is made in the near future!!! I highly recommend this one! I hope the rest of my Christmas/Holiday books this month are as good as this one!!

This is a super cute slow burn Christmas Romance.
Holly is raising her 5 year old niece, Faith after her parents died tragically a few years ago. Always struggling to find the money to give her neice what she needs, she finds hersepf taking on a personal holiday shopper job for her best friends boss.
Archie is the CFO of his family's business and part of a billionaire family. Little does he know when he hires Holly to buy his Christmas presents that he will soon recruit her to be his fake girlfriend.
I really enjoyed this book which fits under that typical rich billionaire trope but with no steamy scenes (they share like 3 kisses in the entire book). Faith, the neice is absolutely adorable with her insightful-ness and smarts. You can't help but hope for a happy ending as Holly and Faith deserve a good life. I love the way the characters grow and learn to embrace what they never thought was possible.
A cute quick Christmas romance to put a smile on your face and tears in your eyes.

What a feel good holiday book! It put me right in the holiday spirit!

Holly Snow is raising her niece Faith due to a family tragedy. Holly is trying her best to provide for her niece Faith and her friend Toni works for Archie who is a big coperate person. He needs a holiday shopper and Toni convinces Holly to become Archie’s holiday shopper. As time goes on Holly and Archie become close and Archie develops a really strong bond with Faith. Archie then asks Holly and Faith to accompany him to a company holiday weekend and asks Holly to pretend to be his girlfriend. Secrets are then brought to light and true feelings are revealed.

I loved everything about this book and now want to read more books part of this series!

I’ve previously reviewed another in this series, Text in Show. I enjoyed this installment as well. Text messaging is a continual plot point, but not the only thing that keeps the plot going. Yes, down-on-her-luck Holly teaches Archie the true meaning of Christmas, but she learns a few lessons as well. Bonus Hallmark points for including an adorable little girl and a spunky best friend. Shopping on behalf of someone who’s too busy/grinchy to do it for themselves has been done before. So have pretend romances. But this didn’t feel overdone. I’m pretty sure I’ll read this one again! (TBH, I’ve purchased the rest of the books in the series, so you can pretty much tell how I feel about them!)

This is another one to file under “clean reads.”

Mistle Text is a funny, past paced, hard to put down as you are walking alongside Holly, Archie, Faith, Toni and other characters while they are struggling with their relationships, friendships and the emotions that they are going through. The book demonstrates the struggles of looking for love, the feelings and emotions you feel when processing how you feel about the person or friends. Also demonstrates how people struggle with helping or discussing issues you see about your friends or partners. It’s a heartwarming and feel good story but could trigger some anxiety and emotions when reading the story. Finding ends hard to meet with a low paid jobs and mother of her five year old niece Faith. Holly was hired as a Christmas Personal Shopper to a very handsome Scrooge banker Archie. With an unlimited budget Holly made sure his Christmas gift list people got something meaningful. Holly begins to text Archie asking about what gifts to get for certain people. Archie with a promotion in mind puts his career ahead of life and Holly becomes the fake girlfriend. Will they find a way around their differences of culture, standards, relationships and being poor-needy to being wealthy.

A cute holiday read!
Holly is raising her niece and working as a personal shopper.
Archie is an investment banker who needs help with gifts.
Cue the cuteness! LOL
My one problem with this story is her niece ‘s dialogue is way too old for a 5 year old.
Grab a cup of tea and relax with this story.
