Get the hankies at the ready!

Chase has been with the series for a few books now and as such I was waiting with bated breath for his HEA. He thoroughly deserves one and Eden is just the woman to smooth all his edges.

Chase thinks he can never have a relationship - his past is too traumatic and he doesn't know if or when he'd be triggered and possibly put a partner in jeopardy. So he uses a Camsite - one which leads him to the alter ego of Eden. But his current "hobby" mission of going after sex traffickers leads him to meet Eden IRL. He can't exactly out her in the real world, not everyone would be understanding of her side-job but he doesn't feel comfortable lying to her either.

OMW Chase and Eden are perfect together. I cried, I laughed and I hurt with them. Chase thinks he's broken beyond repair buy Eden can see the good man beneath those hairline cracks - one who is good to the core. There were plenty of twists and turns and I cheered then the big bad went down.

TW: Sexual/Mental abuse (historic), sex-trafficking, alternative lifestyles

Finally, we have Chase's story. If you haven't read any of Rachel Grant's Evidence series... do so, but before reading this one, I would recommend that you at least read Night Owl and Incriminating Evidence.
I loved this one, and I definitely need to reread the entire series.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Wow, that is some serious shit you won't be able to put down. The only thing Chase wants is for Eden to be safe. Unfortunately, with him entering her Life that won't be a possibility. His past is mixing with his present and catching up in him in a way no one would thought of. Absolutely brilliant story that is losely bound to Toni Andersons book "colder than sin" - namely by refering to Trish's survival of an attack in Indonesia. Fabulous.

I’ve enjoyed the Evidence series but this book was not my favorite. I liked the characters of Chase and Eden. This book just wasn’t to my tastes. Nothing against the author it was just not my cup of tea. I look forward to the next book though. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley

I thought Eden was the perfect person for Chase . I loved the first 75% of the book but I thought the external conflict was a bit much . Chase has been thru so much the story would have been complete without the external factor which I wasn’t a fan off .
I am hoping we done with that topic for rest of the series

Chase a Raptor operative working two jobs, one undercover
Gangs getting underage homeless girls for sex trafficking
He’ll do anything that’s needed to help girls and stop the gangs.
Eden has two jobs, a barista and a siren on line, conversation or.
Chase recognizes her, as he is a client.
Too much on the sex and her world.
Overall okay, not my favorite others I have liked more by the author
Given ARC for Net.Galley & Janus Publish my voluntary review and my honest opinion

I love romantic suspense, so of course I enjoyed this.
I did however have some minor issues with how the focus seemed to be on Eden's sexual acts and not on the story or their relationship. They fell in love really quickly and I personally prefer more of a slow burn.
I loved Chase though, he got through his issues thanks to Eden and their entire backstory was a mindfuck (probably because I haven't read the previous novels in this series yet)
The ending was satisfying and I didn't anticipate the bad guy either!

This is definitely part of a series and I think it would have been better if I had read them first. A mix of mystery and romance.

Excellent book! It's a mystery/thriller with a strong romance story built in, and both parts are excellent! It can be difficult for an author to incorporate both themes into a book and do it well, and this one definitely nailed it. I was captivated by the love story between Eden and Chase. This was my first book by Rachel Grant but I am already looking for more! Highly recommend!

Broken Falcon starts off well and exciting with Chase a Raptor operative working to bring down a group of sexual traffickers targeting underage homeless children. He and his associates stop one such kidnap attempt and Chase injures one of the thugs involved.
Chase has a lot of psychological problems after he was ‘chipped’ and used by a female psychologist in a previous story. My problem was I had no background knowledge of this authors previous books so at times found the storyline confusing.
When Chase meets Eden serving as a barista in a coffee shop near to where this incident takes place, he suddenly recognises her. Eden is not only a barista but also a student psychologist and a sex worker. She is self employed and via her computer camera has a number of clients for whom she provides sexual services, she has no idea Chase is actually one of her clients.
This could of been a good story, unfortunately I found almost 70% of the story was taken up by the sexual acts Eden performed on and off camera and to be honest boring in comparison to the main story. I enjoyed it more when I kept skipping the sexual bits and back to the real story.
That said it was a well written book and a good storyline, I think I could of connected to the characters more if I’d had more background knowledge. I think I will have to read a previous book in this series to discover more then perhaps revisit this story.
My thanks to net galley and Janus publishers for the opportunity to review this book honestly.

LOVED this book!!! I've been fascinated by Chase's story since he first appeared in earlier books in the series, and the author has done him justice in the way she told his story. He's still recovering from the psychological torture he was subjected to, so he's found outlets to help him cope. One of them is Eden's camgirl website. In it, he feels free and able to feel, as they'll never meet in real life...until they do. What follows is an engrossing story that kept me up way too late in the night to finish this book, as I couldn't put it down.

This novel has all the action and drama one would expect in an Evidence novel, plus a whole lot of sexiness. Chase and Eden's story is HOT - so much so that I'm surprised my kindle didn't ignite. Eden is a sex worker, even if it's only on-line, and the author handles it with an open-minded and steady hand. However, I would caution readers that there could be triggers for those sensitive to sexual abuse/exploitation in many of its forms.

This book is a must read for fans of the genre. While part of a series, this is a stand alone novel, however you owe to yourself to read them all. Additionally, while the author provides a bit of Chase's backstory, the full tale told in the prior books is well worth reading. The author is on my must read authors' list.
