I love a good anthology and this did not disappoint! This collection focused on the well-known character traits of the various zodiac signs held by each story’s main character. Like all anthologies, some stories I enjoyed more than others but it was fascinating to see how the authors used such a common starting point and wove in their own experiences and ideas to arrive in such unique places.
I did not read every short story in this anthology because I did not enjoy the few I tried. While it was not my taste, I think this is a cool idea and recommend you give it a try.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This was a good anthology, fun stories, loved the zodiac aspect.
An amazing and diverse array of stories with one dedicated to each astrological sign. I know just enough astrology to understand what my more devoted friends are talking about, but I would dare say that readers of all experience and interest levels would find this and intriguing read. Each story is a completely different tone and setting and I loved all of them to pieces.
I really try to give books from NetGalley my all and avoid DNFing them but this was very painful for me. It took me weeks of opening it and reading a page or two before I had to stop, unable to read each story from how stereotypical they were to astrology and how much instalove was in them. It just felt very unhealthy to perpetuate so many different tropes and stereotypes and it felt very very young to me, and not in a positive way. I might try to pick this up again later but I was not enjoying it at all and had to give up. As a side note, Aries had some very questionable consent issues despite talking about consent--it was very confusing and wasn't something I would give teens to read.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Like most anthologies, my opinions on the stories in this book varied, but I ended up enjoying a surprising number of these stories! The characters were, for the most part, intriguing, with the pacing and the plots varying in how interesting I found them. The diversity was well done and inclusive, and most of the relationsips throughout were pretty well written. It was also interesting to see how the theme was portrayed throughout the book, and often it was incorperated well and fit into the theme, but while some of the stories were amazing, they didn't seem to fit as well into the astrology theme. Overall, this was a diverse and interesting anthology that I truly enjoyed. 4/5 stars from me.

All Signs Point to Yes by g. haron davis, Adrianne White and Cam Montgomery is a romantic anthology whose main theme is astrology and the way it influences people’s lives.
I love anthologies. They offer so much in such a short time, but I joylessly need to say that this one did not hit the mark for the biggest part. I always give books more than a chance, especially in the case of anthologies because they collect a spectrum of voices and while I may dislike some, I am bound to find one I enjoy; and that happened, but only partially. I really liked a couple of stories, but as I said before most were not it (except three which had potential, but needed something more to make them feel complete and fully developed), I even had to stop reading some and I rarely do this. I just feel so disappointed.

This book is like a hug in your hands. Lots of mushy gushy romance, just enough fantastical on top of the realism to leave me wanting to explore all the short stories a bit more, but not so much I was sad the authors selected the short story form. Great book for teen readers who aren't into long form novels and adore astrology. Honestly, every short story was a delight to read and the collection as a whole has perfect flow. Thanks to NetGalley and Inkyard Press for an early read in exchange for my opinion.
This was so cute and I loved the idea. My favorite story was Scorpio obvi. I also enjoyed Aries. I would recommend.
Thank you to #NetGalley and Inkyard Press for allowing me the opportunity to read a digital ARC of All Signs Point to Yes edited by G. Haron Davis, Cam Montgomery, and Adrianne White. This YA anthology featuring multicultural authors will be published May 31, 2022. All opinions are my own.
This anthology includes a story for each zodiac sign. All of the stories revolve around love whether it's romantic, platonic, familial, or something you can't quite define or describe. Each of the thirteen stories is written by a different author with their own unique culture, background, personality, and style.
I really liked the concept of this book. I enjoyed several of the stories, but several were also not my style. The stories are designed to be read individually and do not work together to form a larger story which makes it easier to skip a chapter (sign) when the story and/or style doesn't interest you. I loved the variety and diversity of the different types of love and cultures represented. My favorite stories included those for Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius. I also learned about a new astrological sign that isn't part of the zodiac. Overall, this was a fun anthology.
This one was super cute! Some stories definitely stood out more than others, but as a whole, it was an enjoyable read!
Aries: 🌟🌟
Ok, that one was just odd. The world was weird, the magic was nonsensical, and the romance was nonexistent. Was it even a romance? It was there for like 5 pages, and there was no connection. I know these are short stories, but jeez, I want more than that
Taurus: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
This one was cute! I loved the childhood best friends to lovers plot line, and the food aspects made me hungry. (Seriously, a horrible book to read when craving food). It was just a cute story overall!
Gemini: 🌟🌟🌟
I'm really not sure how I feel about this one... because sure, it was cute. But at the same time, it frustrated me. And I wasn't a fan of the way our characters acted. It was necessary to the plot, but not my thing
Cancer: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This one was so adorable!!! She was a bookstore witch!! Who was lonely! And found a home with bookstore man! Sure, sure, it wasn't much of a romance, but it was so adorable!! (Plus, it managed to develop a magic system in 50 or so pages, which was AMAZING)
Leo: 🌟🌟
This one was badddd. It was just chaos. And one of the characters was named Princess (which really bothered me). I feel like a heist happened in this one, but honestly, I'm not sure. My brain was too tired to comprehend it, and once I lost interest, that was the end
Virgo: 🌟🌟🌟
This one wasn't bad, it just wasn't very good either. I know these are short stories, bur this one just felt like it moved wayyyy too fast. I didn't connect to either of the characters, and even though the concept was cute, it fell short.
Libra: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This one was adorable!! I loved the idea, and I loved how it actually kept the astrology idea. (Some of these haven't, they've just had the MC be the sign). The romance was adorable, the friendship was cute. Everything about this one was sweet!
Scorpio: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This one was so cute! I'll admit that it did stress me out (as someone who'll be leaving for college in a year, I hated how real it all seemed. Leaving a hometown, leaving all your friends. Scary...) Other than that though, this one was great! I wouldn't exactly consider it a romance, but it was still super sweet.
Opiuchus: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
This one was sweet. It was a tad bit odd with the world and the magic, but it was cute. I think I would've loved this one as a full length novel (it needed time to develop) but it was still a fun read!
Sagittarius: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This one was so cute!! Like, rivals to lovers in an archery tournament?? What could be better?? Especially with that reveal at the end. I loved it so much!!
Capricorn: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Kinda disappointed in this one... Because I a Capricorn, so I wanted this one to feel super personal. It didn't, but it was still cute. The mother-son bonr was super sweet, and the hints of romance were fun. Not my favorite, but still a cute story
Aquarius: 🌟🌟
And I thought Capricorn was disappointing... I'm part of a Cap-Aqua duo, so I was really looking forward to this one. Such a disappointment though. I can't even tell you what this one was about, it was that big of a mess. Something about ghosts? And love? I don't know, and I really don't care to
Pisces: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This one was so cute! I loved how witchy it was, and watching the romance develop was so sweet. Both of the characters were adorable, and I loved the connection between them. This was a great note to end the book on!
All Signs Point to Yes is an anthology edited by g. haron davis, Cam Montgomery, and Adrianne White. The book contains love stories for each of the star signs of the zodiac. The authors featured are g. haron davis, Cam Montgomery, Adrianne White, Karuna Riazi, Roselle Lim, Alexandra Villasante, Lily Anderson, Kiana Nguyen, Mark Oshiro, Emery Lee, Eric Smith, Tehlor Kay Mejia, and Byron Graves.
I liked the multiculturalism of this book a lot. I also liked how there were stories of different kinds of love. This is definitely a unique anthology.
This was my first time reading a YA anthology, so part of my review is in part because of this being the first time I've read in this format. By that, I mean that I did not enjoy the anthology's lack of blurbs to help me know what kind of story I was about to read. This caused me to feel flustered with each story, as I had to begin reading them without knowing what kind of content or story I was going to find ahead of time, which caused me to invest time into stories that I ultimately didn't connect with or enjoy. I'm sure many people will enjoy this anthology, but it was not for me.
All Signs Point to Yes is a beautiful YA anthology with a love story for each zodiac sign. The stories range from meet cutes to friends-to-lovers, from fantasy to contemporary to wonderful blends of both.
The large majority of these stories were queer, and also featured trans and nonbinary representation. Unlike most anthologies, there was not a single story I didn't enjoy. These were fun, heartwarming and inclusive and I highly recommend this collection to anyone who finds joy in astrology.
(I dnf’d this story about halfway through )
The stories in this book were very entertaining and fun to read, but I had a hard time keeping up with the different names. And I also was confused on how it was related to Zodiac signs. There were Zodiac facts at the top of each different story, and then a cute love story, but none of it seemed to have anything to do with the Zodiac signs, in my opinion. I would’ve liked to see how it related to them more, but I couldn’t convince myself to read anymore. I’m sure it would’ve been answered if I had gotten further in the book.
I loved the diversity and lgbtq+ representation in this book. It would definitely be worth reading more just to see more of that.
It did all seem a little too fast-paced. Which might be another reason I had a hard time keeping up with it.
In the future I might read more, maybe a story a day. But trying to read it straight through just wasn’t for me.
(Still rating Five stars due to the fact that I did enjoy the stories. I just, personally, wasn’t able to finish them.)
2.5* i really loved the concept of this anthology but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. with a full cast of queer and diverse characters AND astrology this should’ve honestly been my new favorite book. i didn’t really love the stories with fantastical elements because i felt like the magic wasn’t really fleshed out. i also had that problem with some of the romances. a few of them i really enjoyed and thought were quite fun but unfortunately a lot of them fell flat for me. some more kind of nitpicks are that i also was a little bugged at the inclusion of the 13th star sign and thought they should change the “venus in…” to “sun in…” because that would be more accurate in the context of the short stories (a person’s sun sign isn’t always the same as their venus). overall it was alright just unfortunately with more misses for me than hits.
This young adult anthology offers a diverse collection of author, each of whom contribute a romance short story for each of the astrological signs. Contemporary romances range in theme, pacing and diversity, providing a selection of stories for every interest. Every kind of love is explored and will appeal to lovers of short stories and young adult romance. As always with anthologies, interest in particular chapters will vary based on reader preferences. This will especially appeal to those looking to explore new authors and writing styles through the unique lens of astrology and love.
I am...confused by this anthology? Each chapter begins with a list of traits for the assigned sign in Venus, but then if the story mentions a star sign, that same is always the character's sun sign instead? So it felt like the chapter headings should've been about sun sign traits, not Venus sign traits?
Beyond that, I only really liked a couple of the stories, which was a bummer because I was really excited about this anthology.
I was intrigued by the concept of creating a love story for each star sign. I found this to be a fun read. I liked the variety of worlds created by each author.
This is a fabulous collection of short stories, each based around a zodiac sign. There’s a wide array of cultures, sexualities, and genders represented. Each story is fresh and each author tells a different story about love - whether romantic, familial, or platonic.
