I enjoyed this story with all the characters within. The main characters were Beth Maybury and Nate Hillier.
Beth Maybury likes working in the field hospital the spend time in the London parlors. She was a victim of a prank that the society elite played on her. And doesn't want to attend and parties. While helping out at the field hospitals she meet a guy that hurt his leg. So when he goes missing she decides to look for him. But instead she meets one of his nephew instead.
Nate Hillier has took over his family business. His mother want him to see if he could find his uncle and invited him to Christmas. But what he finds is a woman instead. She is also look for his uncle.
This was a fun story to read. It had action, adventure and suspense throughout. It had a few giggles within. It was fun trying to solve what happened to Nate Hillier uncle.
I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley. This is my honest unbiased opinions.
This was such a cute book and the perfect holiday read for winter! I loved watching Bet and Nate's romance bloom and will definitely be recommending this book to friends for the holidays. Thank you!
I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view.
Working as a nurse at the Bethnal Green clinic, Beth Maybury would much rather be with her patients than in a drawing room. But when one of her favourite patients needs around the clock care, and his family have come out of the woodwork for him, Beth knows she is giving up a lot. Spending time at the Hillier home, with the handsome son, Nate, shows her another side to society, and makes her reconsider hiding away so much.
This was a proper cute Christmassy read, and though I read it in the middle of June, I still found myself imagining it was December. Beth's past with society was difficult, and she had hidden away for so long, that her family were worrying about her. The only thing that she enjoyed was helping people at the clinic, which ultimately helps her meet Nate. Beth and Nate were a cute couple, though it wasn't easy for them to find happiness together. Being from different parts in society, and with their own hangups about the ton, they had to overcome their own barriers to let the other person in, but eventually they did.
Thank you to Netgalley and Xpresso Book Tours for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
This is a Christmas story set within the Victorian Period and makes a lovely sweet regency romance. I have to start by saying I was attracted to this book as soon as I saw the cover. It is beautiful.
Beth Maybury is a trained nurse who has seen many horrors after the crimean war, and now devotes her time to helping others at the Bethnel Green Clinic. Born into wealth, by being the daughter of a Duke. Beth feels more at home with her patients that in the banqueting halls of London society. When one of her patients goes missing Beth decides to track him down. Also looking for him is his Nephew, Nate Hillier head of the Hillier’s Sweets empire. Having come from nothing Nate doest think he needs the help of Beth to care for his Uncle. He thinks she is just playing at being nurse and looking down her nose at him, he hates the elite class who look at him and his family with scorn.
However, the more the pair are drawn together the more their friendship and love blossoms. A really lovely story set around the Christmas period.
I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. I enjoyed this book a lot. If you are into period pieces this is perfect for you. Fast read and cute Christmas story.
I really enjoyed this one. It was a little less cookie-cutter than many others. There was still the usual trope of both of the protagonists assuming that the other couldn’t possibly be interested in them. I really enjoyed the character of Beth. Her escape to be a nurse was prompted by a rather overblown social problem of the day, but her heart is truly in her work and she’s good at it. I also appreciated that Nate is not the usual member of the nobility, but a self-made man.
This one is squeaky clean, with just a little bit of kissing.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

A comforting, cozy, intriguing Christmas/historical read. The beginning quickly captures the reader, and I very much had Little Women vibes (in setting and general time period if not in plot).
His Lady of Mistletoe by Charlotte Jardine
I loved this wee book. A lovely Christmas love story.
Set in the Victorian era in a soap kitchen in London Beth is trained as a nurse by Florence Nightingale. A strong minded and dedicated caring nurse who devotes her time to care for the poor.. She is caring for Teddy when he going missing after they find him at his sister's home with her family ,she Mets Ben his nephew.
After a floppy start between them love blossoms..
A real warm feel good book very enjoyable
Thank you Netgalley for letting me review this book
His Lady of Mistletoe is a fun historical romance, set during Christmas time. The book follows Beth, a nurse at a local soup kitchen, and Nate, who's in charge of the Hillier Sweets empire. The two couldn't be more different, and when they're drawn together in a search for Beth's patient who also happens to be Nate's uncle, the two immediately clash. But when Beth agrees to become a live-in nurse for Nate's uncle, the two have to deal with each other's company almost daily, and slowly, they begin to feel themselves drawn to each other as sparks fly.
This book was such a fun, light-hearted read that is perfect for Christmas time. I enjoy historical romances, and I enjoy Christmas books, and I was very pleased with the combined result. This is actually book 3 in the Lady of the Lamps series, but I hadn't read the previous two and had no problems following along with this one. I do believe the other two follow different protagonists, who are briefly mentioned in this one, but not so much so that I got confused.
This book was a little predictable; I predetermined every plot twist and coming conflict, but I didn't mind, because I was having a lot of fun. I think this book did exactly what it needed to do, and I'm very glad I read it.
Very nice and relaxing read for the holidays. I’ve read Victorian novels that left my IQ feeling lower than when I began. This is not one of those! Charming story about a brave and determined woman that some gossips have the wrong idea about. She has a friend/ boyfriend whom she almost ditches due to his ineptness and careless words.
Beth was originally r]trained as a nurse by Florence Nightingale, and helped during the Crimean War. She comes from wealth and doesn’t give a hoot about it. She is a nurse for a sweet old man whose son struggles to accept his wealth, and looks down on her because of it. He follows her into the bowels of London where she cares for the poor. Will these two seemingly mismatched souls ever figure each other out a d become friends, even more than? This book is clever, a bit twisty, and a pleasant read. I look forward to reading more of this author’s books.
Thank you to Ms. Jardine, Netgalley and Xpresso Book Tours for and ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
Thank you Netgalley and Xpresso Book Tours for the opportunity to read and review this.
This is a very sweet Christmas story, following Beth Maybury, who is a nurse trained as a nurse by Florence Nightingale during the Crimea War and devotes her time caring for the poor in London, and Nate Hillier whose background is a rags-to-riches success (to which there are still some people in society who looks down on).
This is a very sweet and heartwarming story about family, acceptance and helping others.
Goodness - Charlotte Jardine - please keep writing! I loved this book! In the Victorian era, two strong, ethical characters, both dismayed by the shunning of upper-class folks, had to adjust to their preconceived notions, family loyalty, and dedications. Reading about the magical, wonderful Christmas season. This book is masterfully written and keeps you entertained and engaged!
What a wonderful Christmas story! A cranky hero who is from the working class and just can't seem to fit in with his new wealthy status. Nate has a hard time trusting the wealthy and judges Beth because she comes from money. Beth is a sweet nurse who loves the downtrodden and doesn't give a fig about being wealthy. She cares for Nate's uncle who he loves dearly at Christmas time. Nate slowly warms to Beth's sweet soul. She sees a kind person under his gruff exterior. Nate ends up hurting Beth who has been wounded in the past but can she trust him ever again? You need to read to find out!
I am a sucker for a romance set within the Victorian era. It's one if my favorite eras to read about. Not to mention this book is set during Christmas time which just amped up the enjoyable factor. I've already been in a holiday spirit, and reading this made it intensify.
Elizabeth is not only a Baron's daughter, but she is a trained nurse as well. Something that isn't very common when it comes to an upper class woman. She stepped out of the set ideals around women of her status and followed her passion to help people. When one of her patient disappears and is trying to find him she runs into Nate who has been working hard to turn his family's business around.
I really enjoyed reading about the relationship and love that bloomed between them. A love that neither of them really saw coming, but when it formed they took it in stride.
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.
A sweet tale that covers all the elements I love in a Christmas story. His Lady of Mistletoe is set in London shortly after the Crimean War and full of vivid details. Beth’s warm heart and love for serving others is endearing and Nate, although protective and prickly at first, is just the man to needle into the wall she’s built to protect her heart. They’ve both been scorned and ridiculed by the societal elite, so it takes some time for their friendship and trust to be established. Throw in a meddling uncle, super cute kids, and a whole lot of Christmas cheer, and you are guaranteed a sweet love story.

A sweet Victorian romance between Beth Maybury and Nate Hillier. Beth was trained as a nurse by Florence Nightingale during the Crimea War and devotes her time caring for the poor in London. Nate has made the family confectionery business successful with work, work, work. She doesn't like Christmas, neither does he. His sick Uncle Teddy brings them together. Nate resists the attraction to Beth, because he doesn't trust her. Beth wants to give her heart to Nate, but she's afraid of his rejection. Two people who love each other and should be together, have the help of family, the season of Christmas and a kiss under the mistletoe.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
SWEET AND UNASUMING
If you're looking for a cute Christmas romance, then look no further. This story is sweet, easy and heartwarming. It's about family, about acceptance and about helping others. It is not a book that will rouse the biggest emotions or make your heart beat faster in excitement. But it will certainly make you feel at least a bit warm inside.
Beth Maybury prefers her life in the hospital rather than face London society. Yet when she agrees to care for a patient at her Bethnal Green clinic, she realises that she must face the grumpy nephew, Nate Hillier. Nate is head of the Hillier’s Sweets empire and upon finding his uncle seriously ill and being cared for by Beth, he must invite her to his home for Christmas. Yet, the more time that they spend together, the more that Beth and Nate begin to see each other in a different light.
Whilst Nate does his best to remain grumpy, Beth can only see the good in people. Despite seeing Nate as almost ‘Scrooge-like’, her determination for his uncle to recover, helps Nate to cast aside many of his past ways and to appreciate life for what its Beth is very much the realist and despite her experiences, still sees great joy in life. This was a sweet read to read, getting close to the Christmas season.

The perfect Christmas regency read. I adored this book and am so excited to share it with my audience.
This book was so adorable and sweet. It even made me tear up at the end from how happy it made me feel. Such a great romance Christmas-themed read!
