Wow! This was a SUPER compelling read! I had no clue this would be a murder mystery and it would keep me reading late at night. Yet, somehow, it did. Wonderfully well written book with deep characters who were multi-faceted and really enjoyable to read about. Have I said this is a thriller of sorts? It was quick to read through because I desperately wanted to finish it. I had to know what happened. It was GOOD. I highly recommend this book.
Three women became best friends as they were pregnant and their three boys grew up together as best friends. These women are super close and raising their boys together in a safe neighborhood until their boys come home with some bees that brings out the drama in this friendship that seemed to be unbreakable! Great story, good character building and it kept me interested from start to finish!

The Lifeguards is about Annette, Liz and Whitney who all three live respectively well!
And have become very close to each other..
They live in a very nice neighborhood with amazing family and friends.
Even had kids around the same time who all three boys grew up to be the best of buds.
They are about to have the best Summer ever as all three got summer jobs as lifeguards.
Everything changes in a blink of an eye when the boys come home one night from.swimming in their favorite swimming hole.
They are hiding a secret that could shake their worlds their moms have worked so hard trying to keep them safe..

I haven't enjoyed a book this much in month's!
I loved the alternating point of views from all three moms.
The surprising suspense is absolutely fantastic.
From the cover you wouldn't think it....
But damn if this book doesn't hook you and suck you straight in!
You think you know..... But Ward does a phenomenal job at keeping you on your toes!

Seriously thank you Publisher, NetGalley and Author for this outstanding new novel!
I had way too much fun reading this it!
Another great book by this author! Three women in their 30’s met while pregnant and grew into the very best of friends. For the past 15 years they have had each other’s backs, taken care of each other’s kids and had fun nights out together. They called each other best friends and relied on each other. You would think that a bond of this kind meant that they knew each other’s secrets. The boys play together from birth and are known as the Three Musketeers. As the boys get into trouble together, it becomes apparent that blood is thicker than water and even best friends have secrets from each other. Unable to put this book down, I read it in a four hour period instead of working. Whoops! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the kindle edition ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I received this book for free for an honest review from netgalley #netgalley
Great beach read⛱️. Highly recommend!
Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for an e-ARC of this title in exchange for my honest review. When a young woman washes up, dead, in an affluent community, several parents of the local lifeguards start wondering if their sons might have had something to do with it. Instead of working together, or simply talking to their sons, the battle lines are drawn. I highly recommend this book, as it has a nice mystery plot, but it also says a lot about kids today, mental illness and how it's handled, and how sometimes parents just need to listen and the answers are closer than you think.
Great drama. Loved every page.
Thanks to author, publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book. While I got the book for free, it had no bearing on the rating I gave it.
Three best friends live in an affluent Austin neighborhood. Because they became friends when pregnant, all three of their sons grew up to naturally be best friends. But when the boys come home one night scared claiming they found a dead body on the greenbelt, each family suffers irreparable changes in a matter of a week. After enveloping their families in the privilege of wealth, they soon find that wealth and status doesn't protect you from everything.
To say this is a five star read is an understatement. I could not put this book down. The suspense. The all encompassing story. As the story progresses you find you're not sure who to trust anymore and everyone has a secret, though some are much more explosive than others. I cant speak highly enough about this book, so Ill just say its one of my favorites of the year! This is the PERFECT summer read. I'm just sad that it won't be released until April 5, 2022.

Thank you to NetGalley, Amanda Eyre Ward, and Ballantine Books for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
To say I devoured this book would be an understatement! I could not put this book down. Each character was unique and intriguing - coupled with a “who done it, and why” plot which made for a rapid page turner. Without spoiling the plot, three mothers desperate to protect their sons learn that it may be their boys who are the ultimate protectors. Wards inconclusive ending frustrated me at first, until I reread and realized she has definitely left an opening for a sequel (and I am praying there is one!) as I would like to see where each character is now, and exactly what happened inside the second to last chapter! Thank you for the advanced copy - can’t wait to read more from this author!!!
A deceased female body is found on a walking g path in an upscale Auston neighborhood. Along with it, an item is found belonging to a young teenage boy. Three teenage boys are very close and as you read you question if one could be the killer. A descriptive edge of your seat thriller from a very talented author.
I’ve been wanting to read this book for a while and it didn’t disappoint. It’s about a close group of friends and their children. The story is engrossing and kept me interested the entire book. I would highly recommend this read.
