Quirky little catalog for an art exhibition on guitar effects pedals. I loved the design detail that went into the pedals shared in the exhibit; so many interesting aesthetic directions taken. I especially liked the looks at pedals that had a related sound (or were even knockoffs) and the design choices that were made to convey the relation to the copied original. I also don't know anything about playing the electric guitar, but the exhibit and catalog did a good job describing several of the different types of effects the pedals can create and gave some examples of classic songs that used each one, sending me straight to spotify. I'm not sure I would ever have sought out this book on purpose, but I'm really glad I read it!
