Great time-travel historical romance! The idea at the basis of the book is really intriguing (no spoilers, but King Arthur and his legend are involved) and I loved the characters very much. They are well fleshed out, real people with real problems and sufferings even if they belong to different times. I really felt for them and the gorgeous writing kept me intrigued until the end of the book. I’ll certainly read the next book of the saga because there are some loose ends I’d love to see tied up…

Take a magic brooch, a grieving, time traveling NYC police officer and a noble pick pocket and you're in for a great ride! With a host of endearing supporting characters you'll struggle to put it down.. Loved it!
Thank you Paula Quinn, Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley for allowing me an advance copy for my honest feedback.

Echoes of Abandon by Paula Quinn are another Pendragon time travel. Morgan Le Fay had enchanted a brooch to keep Arthur in Camelot with her. It failed. He and his children escaped. Now forces are working to bring them, at least the children, away from 2019, presumably to weaken Arthur? His daughter Kestrel, with no memory of Camelot or Arthur has successfully bee relocated to the past and now the police detective investigating her disappearance has also been taken. Michael Pendridge doesn't catch on immediately but it doesn't take too long. He had been such a wreck, and his life had been so miserable, he wasn't really all that upset to find himself in a new time, with the possibility of a new beginning. If only his new love wasn't a criminal.

An interesting approach to an age-old story. Apparently the brooch takes a person to his/her true love, in his/her time or another. It is a good story once Michael lands and starts a life. If will be interesting to see how it all plays out, as for everyone sent back in time, someone must replace him in the current time. Maybe it will all make sense at some point. It is an enjoyable, if slightly odd, read.

A Lawman, A Criminal, and a Journey to the Past That Unites Them

He is a cop who travels back in time. She is a thief who picks his pocket and captures his heart. Is there hope for the pair? Michael was on the edge of despair, so the past might have been the only way out for him. Charlotte would cause him no end of frustration, but she just might be his salvation. This time travel story is full of adventure, romance, and suspense. It is confusing at times, but it pulls you into the pages as you take the journey with Charlotte and Michael. Will Charlotte reform her ways, or will Michael end up arresting her for being a criminal? Does Michael remain in the past, or does he return to the grim future from whence he came? Can a lawman and a highwaywoman build a future together? You will find the answers between the pages, but be prepared to get your mind twisted. If you like time travel romance, you might enjoy the ride.

This story has it all - literally! There is a NYC time travel Detective, a beautiful thief, adventure, suspense, murder, magic, intrigue, horrible friends, a concerned loving father, and then there is the brooch.
Book 2 of Paula Quinn's Echoes in Time Series is a story you don't want to miss!

Another excellent romance that I found highly entertaining. I have a soft spot for time traveling romances and usually it’s the female being hurled to another era, this time the author brings a NYC detective to London in the year of 1724. Soon Michael Pendridge finds himself chasing a thief who turns out to be Lady Charlotte Whimsey, daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Croydon.

This is a fast paced romance that mixes in King Arthur and the lore surrounding him. It was a fun read, I recommend it if you enjoy letting go of reality for a while and just enjoying the ride!!

I had a hard time getting into this book, especially the mythology/magical elements. It just didn't grab and hold me. I also wanted a bit more in terms of character development; things often felt rushed to me. I did finish it but I won't be continuing with the series.

I wanted to like this book because the synopsis sounded like my usual favorites. But this book was painfully slow and super boring. I gave up at 30%. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Time travel back to medieval times.
Dec. Michael Pendridge is having a hard time and even contemplating ending his life. But on phone call saves him from his thoughts and sends him into a wind whirl of confusion back to medieval times.
Lady Charlotte has a problem, she likes to pickpockets and is seen by a man that chases her and accuses her of her father. Michael is giving the task as the new lawman and directed to keep an eye on charlotte, making sure she doesn't steal anything else. But he is also searching for a way to get back into his time and see what happened to the missing woman (previous book story).

Detective Michael Pendridge is terribly depressed. He has lost everyone who was ever important to him. A strange early call one morning will send him in a whole new direction. Our hero is a born and bred lawman even when he's totally out of his usual enviroment.

Lady Charlotte Whimsey is a thief. Ignored by her parents, she got in with the wrong people. What started with the best intentions is getting seriously out of hand and more dangerous.

This is a fun filled time-travel romance. The characters have lots of secrets and someone, somewhere has an ulterior motive for sending them.

This is the second book in the series. You can easily read it on it's own but there are teasers for the others. I can't wait to read the next.

Great fun.

New York 2019 to London 1724

A fast paced adventure with several different twist that grabbed me quickly! Paula has a way of doing that with her writing, and fantastic storylines!

Michael was pretty much done with life. As a police office, he had seen too much, saw his two partners killed and was in a black hole. But fate stepped in when he received a call that he had inherited a brooch from a distant relative. Then he landed in a different century.

Lady Charlotte was involved in something way over her head. She just had not realized it yet. Since a young age she had been stealing. Not that she needed to, but because she wanted to.

Then the two meet. Can these two lost souls find what they both need or will time separate them forever? Cannot wait for the next in this series!

INTO THE PAST
Once again the broach works it's magic. This time it's a New York cop ending up in the eighteenth century. Crime is running rabid. Michael makes a commitment to capture criminals and establish justice for the crimes. Finding the woman that will be his true love, Charlotte comes with her own secrets, secrets that could destroy any life together. Questions of his true identity and the identity of his enemies will be revealed by a cursed time traveler. The truth will determine if Michael stays in the past or returns to the twenty-first century. He is one tough cop, wears black leather and can take care of himself and the woman he loves. Charlotte takes awhile to figure out her true royalty. I base this on her immaturity. Interesting plot.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Echoes of Abandon is the perfect time travel romance with a medieval aspect connecting hero, Michael Pendragon, to Arthurian legend. Michael and Charlotte both seem to be lost souls in need of their ‘one true love.’ Finding each other is not a mistake, but a completion of steps set in motion long before their time.

King Arthur’s legend lives as we watch Charlotte and Michael find each other and find themselves. This time travel romance is one you will not want to put down. It is different and action packed keeping you wanting to get to the end to find out how these two will make peace with their problems and stay together.

Second in the Echoes in Time series, Echoes of Abandon can be read as a stand-alone, but I enjoyed it as part of the series. Definitely looking forward to Surrey and Noelle’s romance!

INCREDIBLE!!!! Echoes of Abandon by Paula Quinn us book 2 in the Echoes In Time series and probably one of the most creative stories I have ever read. This time travel story is original, easy to read and had some of the best characters I have ever read. Though in a series this book can be read as a standalone. Paula has such a creative imagination and trust me when I say you will not be disappointed reading this book. It is so well written. A true talented writer at her best. Can you tell how much I loved this book… I could not put it down!!! I don’t even know how to describe this story but I will give it a try. This story has a lady that is a thief, a detective that time travels back to the 1700s, wanting a new life, being loyal, wanting attention from their parents, being adopted, being related to King Arthur, different realms, greed, murder, creating a justice system, being hired to watch over someone, madness, highwaymen, rescue, letting prisoners go free, thinking they are in love but with the wrong person, a time traveler that is cursed by a witch and very amusing, a faithful butler, sharing, finding out you are not who you really think you are (that will bee explained in the story), a gun fight, being shot and falling in love. This book has it all and I am so highly recommending you read this book. As I said it is INCREDIBLE!!!

***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.

"Echoes of abandon" is an incredible time travel historical romance novel. I did not have the pleasure of reading "Echoes Of Roses" but I can assure you that I will read it right away because I know it will be a good read.

I was very pleased with this book. The events had this perfect pace where nothing was going too fast or too slow, and that is what I always look for while reading a book. The writing style is admirable. I loved Michael and Charlotte’s story. The dynamic between Michael and Charlotte was impeccable. The banter, their chemistry, the angst, all of it. We have Michael, who is a police officer tormented by his memories of heartbreaking events from his past, finds himself in eighteenth-century England, and Charlotte, who is a thief who does it for the sake of attention. It is epic.

Echoes of Abandon starts out very dark, but it lightens up pretty quick. This is a story about two people who are lost and they come to find their selves as they find each other, The paranormal aspect is very prevalent and I adored it! I am looking forward to Paula Quinn's future novels!

Very good read, full of adventure and a great time travel investigator, who needs to find a brooch to travel home.

What he finds is a beautiful hellion/thief ,her exasperated father, and some not so nice supposed friends of hers.

If he can keep her out of trouble, maybe he could make a new life in a new Time.
Or will he find what he’s looking for, is it the brooch or is it love and a future.

I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

A time travel historical romance? Yes please. Add a bit of Arthurian legends you get this book. I went into this book not knowing anything about it and i was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed this book and the characters were mostly very fun to follow. The heroine started to annoy me later in the book and I did not like how fast the hero forgave her. That was probably what took the book down a star for me

Paula Quinn has such excellent writing skills and never ceases to put me in awe of her stories. "Echoes of Abandon" is no exception, it's a beautiful and heartfelt story of two lost souls who come together, even though they are born centuries apart. Between time travel and the legend of King Arthur and the round table, you will be held spellbound as you turn each page.

I loved Michael and Charlotte's story, my heart really went out to both of them. One is a detective who has lost all faith in human kind and the other is a thief who does it all for attention, less she becomes completely invisible to her parents! When Michael finds himself in eighteenth century England, the first person he sees is Charlotte and she's pick pocketing!! Forever the cop, he goes after her, little knowing how much his life will change. As for Charlotte, here's someone who really sees her for who and what she truly is.

I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
