I started reading this book with a backward foot because I saw a lot of people saying bad things about it, saying that the author had ruined the characters and that they were completely different in terms of personality, I didn't think so, but I also read the books a long time ago so I may not remember very well, but I think these transformations can be seen as the characters' growth, here they are at another age, they are entering another phase of their lives, we change a lot, when we leave our early 20s and go towards the middle 20s we are sometimes completely different people, so I think even if they are not the same it's not a totally bad thing.
I also saw people saying that they found the stories a little too dramatic that they didn't need to, I understand why they are, the moment they are in their lives has a lot of pressure, you want to make decisions as "adults" now but these decisions are almost always definitive and difficult to be taken, so sometimes there's more drama, I thought it was normal and I really liked that the author brought them up, made the book more real, showed that life is difficult and that you have to make difficult decisions that have real consequences that affect your life directly.
I loved the book, laughed a lot, had fun, and fell in love with these characters again, I would read stories about them forever, I love watching them grow and their group dynamic for me is the best thing about these books!
I had only read the first book in this series by Elle Kennedy so before I read "The Legacy" I went through them all. In this last book we find out what happened with all the couples we met in the previous books. It was a great wrap-up for all standalones, well-written and fun. I always want to know what happens with the heroes in a book when I turn the last page and definitely enjoyed reading this. I received an advanced copy from Netgalley and the publisher for my honest review.
I had a bit of a tough time with THE LEGACY. While it was nice seeing where everyone ended up and seeing my favorite characters and couples (looking at you Allie and Dean) not everything just felt a little off. Like the reactions were appropriate for the situations, but not genuine. It was a bit of a weird reading experience.
I have absolutely adored Elle Kennedy's Off Campus series and The Legacy was a perfect way to reminisce with all my favourite characters and find out what happens to them next. This book contains a good balance of spicy, lighthearted romance, realistic characters with serious issues, and the friendships and humour that tie the whole story together so well that I didn't realize until I finished the book that it's supposed to be 4 separate novellas. It reads like 1 story that switches between characters to tell us where the four main couples from the Off Campus books are three years later, and what new things are happening in their lives. The only thing I would change is I wish I had read Elle Kennedy's Briar U series as well before reading The Legacy as it also contains some updates about the younger hockey players that are the main characters in this series. But these books are such a fun read, I'll probably read it again after reading the Briar U books anyway!
Many thanks to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Bloom Books for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Elle Kennedy’s The Legacy is a collection of novellas about the characters in her college hockey romance series Off-Campus. I finished it in one sitting, naturally — and the stories made me laugh much, much more than once. (Thank you, Alexander!) There may be considerable bias on my part since this author was my introduction to New Adult literature a few years back, but this series has long since become the standard against which I measure all other contemporary romances, especially college ones.
This particular book, though, is something that I think is really read more for the nostalgia than anything else, I’m sure everyone who’s followed the series from the beginning has already had their fair share of fantasizing what happened to the four couples after graduation. Still, it's always a different thing to see the endings that end up in the canon.
If I were to rank the novellas in terms of how much value they added to their respective original book, it would be:
(3) Dean/Allie.
(2) Logan/Grace.
(1) Tucker/Sabrina and Garrett/Hannah in a tie. While I've always rooted for Tucker and Sabrina's relationship arc, I've always loved Garrett’s individual arc the best.
Thanks to Netgalley for this e-ARC in exchange of an honest review
I really enjoyed the books of the Off-Campus serie so when I found that there would be a 4.5 book, I was so excited to read it and now more about our favorite hockey players 😻
I found the book enjoyable and it was good to read about the characters and what happened to them, but, in general, it was rather disappointed ☹ I expected more about the book and found that not every character was the same as we saw in the serie and also found some parts plain.
Nevertheless, I did enjoy some parts and couples, like the honeymoon couple or the game with Alexander 😅
Finally, I will definitely miss all of the characters 🥺 and Garret is still my favorite 😻
For fans of the couples seen in the Off Campus series, you'll enjoy catching up with all of the couples. The stories are short but satisfying. They share bits of the past as well as where they are "now". And, of course, their stories involve the other characters, so that makes it fun. Warning: Logan and Grace's section is something that's already been released but the others I've never read before.
Looking for short but fun reads? The Legacy is for you.
First of all, I want to thanks Netgalley and Bloom Books for providing an ARC in exchange of a honest review.
Now let's go for the review ! I've read and love both Off campus and Briar U series for a long time. Since the lecacy has been announced, I was dying to read it.
It was like meeting with long time friends. I loved every second of this book and I won't be mad if there is a second book in this series (just sayin')
I loved this original series from Elle. I wasn't for this new epilogue because I think the story are over let's not go overkill with the characters.
I did appreciate this series of short stories because they were short and didn't go into overkill with the storyline.
The sex between Eva and Shane were hot and as per the theme
I truly enjoyed this book, It kept me interested for sure.
I was super excited for this book. While it was fun to revisit old characters, I really wish this book had been different. First of all, I was frustrated that Logan and Grace's story was a previously released short story. They are tied as my favorite couple and to not get new content for them was disappointing. However, I still liked their story the best. Everyone elses was just frustrating. I understand having conflict in stories. But when we are getting such short glimpses back into these characters lives, having them in conflict for almost the whole story is just frustrating. I want fluff from short stories, not drama and unrecognizable characters (Garrett, anyone??!)
The good thing to come out of this book was it made me want to revisit the original series, and I am loving that.
All in all I was disappointed. Although, I did really enjoy the cursed doll piece of it!

I love getting to come back to familiar characters and getting an update on their lives and stories. Elle Kennedy delivered with this collection of novellas about the Off Campus crew.
After reading the blurb I knew there was a lot happening for each couple. It was fun seeing it unfold and if my guesses for which life event went with which couple were correct. These stories showed that just because you have an HEA it doesn't mean everything is perfect all the time. They, like real couples, had some bumps along the way, and I liked that it didn't feel over dramatic or unnecessarily angsty.
Another thing I loved that was highlighted throughout the whole book was the friendships. It was nice to see that even a few years post-college they were still close.
This was a fun surprise from Elle, and I hope we get more from this series in the future!
This is the wonderful ending to one of the best sports romance series in college I have read
.
This series has the right balance between a romance coming out of the young adult genre within the contemporary romance, it touches on topics such as sexual violence, drug use and difficult childhoods, giving them a new bright side. Personally I was hooked from the first chapter of The Deal, the story of Hannah and Garret and from there I have loved every character that Elle Kennedy brings.
.
The Legacy is a set of four short stories that takes up the lives of the characters from the previous books, it is so well detailed that one can read it without having read the series but it definitely leaves you wanting to re-read all the books or read them for first time
.
I really love to meet again with the characters and their stories, well written Romance with steamy and dreamy characters that makes time for funny times
.
Thanks to Elle Kennedy and Sourcebooks Bloom Books for give me this beautiful book in exchange for my honest opinion I really loved it so much
I have to be honest and say while I am rating this 3 stars, I'm rating the actual content 2 stars. The extra star was for the nostalgia of seeing Tucker, Logan, Dean, Sabrina and Grace again. These novella's were not the HEA's I expected, instead they were miscommunication filled angst-fests with some "grown up" stuff like engagements, weddings and babies. But the actual human's involved behaved very immaturely. In fact they acted more mature during their college years... I rated The Pact (GracexLogan) 3 stars and it was by far my favourite novella, despite the overreacting and miscommunication, this was the best of a sadly bad bunch. The Proposal (deanxAllie) & The Honeymoon (SabrinaxTucker) both get 2 stars because it was sillliness, drama and that dread M word again. And I skimmed The Legacy because I was already angry by the time I reached this part and I never really liked Garrett and Hannah anyway so they get 1 star. I appreciate a lot of this because I have heavy nostalgia for the Off Campus series, but I sudder to think what I would rate this if I was reading it for the first time. Thank you to Sourcebooks and Netgally for the advance copy. All opinions are my own. .
Elle Kennedy's Off Campus series is an all time favourite, and so reading The Legacy was like coming home to old friends. Set a few years after the end of the series, this book is made up of four novellas that revisit our favourite couples with the same humour and intoxicating romance that made the whole series such a success. Definitely the best way to say goodbye to these beloved characters.
I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
Introducing myself to the Off Campus series this year made me eager to read more sports romances (but really, Elle Kennedy puts something in these books that makes it difficult to not want to fly through the series). While reading this series initially, I discovered that the author had another planned release for this series, and that it would be a book that tied all of the Off Campus stories into one book.
This brings us to The Legacy, which is exactly that. The novel follows Logan and Grace, Garrett and Hannah, Dean and Allie, and Tucker and Sabrina as they navigate their lives post-college and the eventual hurdles that relationships often encounter. I personally was looking most forward to catching up with Garrett and Hannah, mostly because they were the first in the series, and in my opinion the heart of the whole story.
I recommend reading the entire Off Campus series prior to starting this- this is meant to be a small one-shot catch-up with each couple, and a lot of context is missed if the previous four books were not read. I also recommend the Briar U series, as there are also small check-ins with those characters.
While the story didn't overall blow me away, this was a really pleasant evening read that brought me back to some of my favorite characters. This entire series is deservedly a comfort read.
Thank you Netgalley for my ARC copy, so that I was able to come back to my favorite characters and offer my honest thoughts!

The perfect catch up with all my off-campus faves, plenty of drama but it also had me laughing and swooning too. Finished this in like four hours or something ridiculous and now I’m sad because I miss these characters again.
The Off Campus series is one of my most loved and reread series ever and The Legacy was the book I didn’t know I needed. It was absolute perfection and returning to this world was like seeing old friends again, I can never get enough of them. These four couples are so special to me and it was such a treat to get to peek into their lives, four years down the road, all just to confirm that they're just as special as they ever were. I loved every moment!
Each novella reiterated the amazing connection between the characters and the love and camaraderie they still share past graduation. The hilarious bromance and swoony moments are still there. And the outcome was heartwarming, fun, hilarious, and extremely satisfying. Also, Alexander and the Coach Jensen revelation was the cherry on the cake..IYKYK!
This book was sublimely written and reaffirmed why I love this series. It just felt like the perfect exclamation point at the end of the story for these four wonderful characters I love and adore. I am incredibly sad to say goodbye to these characters. I have truly loved every single one of the books in this series, and these characters have found a permanent place in my heart. My reader heart is so happy with this bit of magic Elle Kennedy has graced us with.
Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced reader copy!
I genuinely enjoyed getting a look at the characters from the Off-Campus series after their happily ever afters.
I appreciated the depiction that just because the love is there and the commitment is there, it doesn't mean that all of your problems go away.
Garrett finally coming to terms in a public way about his fathers abuse was the best of all the stories for me as I felt that was lacking in his original book. The series tied up some loose ends in a way I appreciated and introduced new plot points in a cohesive way.
Alexander will haunt my dreams.
The perfect way to revisit the couples of Briar U. Each couple got their own unique story and the personalities we previously came to love are still intact. We got to see an engagement, elopement, honeymoon, and baby. I love that Elle Kennedy has a way of throwing in surprises with characters we already know so well. This is the absolute best way to say goodbye to this fictional universe.
