I love Amy Clipston and I think this may be her best novel to date. I absolutely loved this story and that cover!

Thanks to the author, Thomas Nelson, and NetGalley for this great ARC. I enjoy reading the ARC before the book gets out so I can make suggestions to our library patrons on books to read. This one is a great one!
* Romance * Christian fiction
When a jilted romance novelist escapes to a small beach town, the last thing she expected to find was the start of an even better love story.
This particular series is well-liked at our library. Not Amish, but wholesome.
Contemporary Romance (Non-Amish)

Coral Cove sounds like an amazing place! I am glad I was able to "visit" through this author's wonderful description of the place. 5 stars for sure. I highly recommend it.5 stars
This was a charming story, set in a coastal small NC town. The townspeople were great supporting characters but the ones I loved most were Ashlyn and Maya. Their relationship was sweet and added to the romance with Brody and Maya. The book was a quick, lighthearted read that’s perfect for the beach or just when you need to relax and settle into a sweet romance without the graphic “stuff” of most romance novels. It was cosy, and I really enjoyed it - will look forward to reading more from this author.
I truly enjoyed reading "The View from the Coral Cove". I have to admit, that this book was also my very 1st written by Amy Clipston and I am sure, I will also look for her books in the future.
I loved the plot, not only the setting and the main characters but the whole storyline. Maya and Brody although both had to face their anxiety. Each of them had to go through a stony path but in the end they found the right way.
It was clean yet amazing book I can recommend to everyone loving HEA.
Amy Clipston's standalone novel, The View from Coral Cove, is sure to make you smile! When Maya Reynolds, a romance writer who recently went through a break-up, inherits her aunt's toy store in Coral Cove, she picks up the pieces of her heart and heads that way. Coral Cove holds some of her best memories and she is happy to start over in the place where she was the happiest. If she could just figure out why her ex broke up with her so unexpectedly, with no reason. It would also help her write her next novel, as she has the worst case of writers block. When a sweet kitten comes running into the toy store, she meets Ashlyn and Brody Tanner, the local vet and his daughter. She ends up adopting the kitty and making new friends. But, as they spend time together, Maya realizes that she wants more than friendship, but can she trust her own heart to make smart choices?
A sweet story that will bring a few happy tears and some laughs too, you won't want to miss The View from Coral Cove. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read this story.
This book was so good. I’ve never read anything by Amy Clipston before, but this plot was thorough and had a few twists and turns you don’t feel coming. Overall great read! Highly recommend.

A sweet love story. All the typical contents: young child, kitten, inheritance, broken engagement, small town, and family mystery solved. It all added up to several hours of enjoyable reading. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley.
This was A very enjoyable weekend read. I thought the details were spot on , I could visualize the places I read about and was able to see the tearoom is detail.
The characters were real, honest and I feel for them early and cared about each one, well not Kyle. There were not too many characters but a perfect amount to keep track of and care for, a good variety.
Maya’s great-aunt died and left her toy store to Maya. Coral Cove, North Carolina was the place she spent summers with her mom. She loved helping her aunt with the store and looked forward to owning and operating it along with her career as an author. While settling in the store, a cat wanders in and feels right at home. Eight-year-old Ashlyn talks Maya into adopting the cat. Ashlyn’s dad, Dr. Brody Tanner, is the town vet. Ashlyn is the most important thing in Brody’s life. The three of them form a strong bond and it seems to be just what Maya wants, a family. Maya is hesitant to fall in love again after having her heart broken by her fiancé who left her for a job in the United Kingdom. Brody does not trust love either after having his heart broken when the gal he expected to marry did not want Ashlyn as part of the package.
I really liked this book. I enjoyed the developing relationship between Brody and Maya and the bond Maya and Ashlyn shared. To make the toy store more profitable, Maya fixes up a storeroom to hold tea parties which added a lot to the story and the relationships. This book is about trusting love and moving on from unpleasant periods in your life. Good friends and family are essential.

I have LOVED this book so much and will be reading more of this author.
Maya is a 29 year old author who moves back to Coral Cove after the death of her beloved Aunt Cece. Maya has recently suffered a hard breakup with her fiance Kyle who just up and moved to the UK with no notice or explanation.
Maya takes over the daily operation of her Aunt's toy store and is trying to write her most recent novel. She is suffering from writers block and sees no way out of it.
A cute little kitten storms into her toy store as she's setting up inventory. Ashlynn comes looking for the kitten. Ashlynn is the 9 year old daughter of the hunky town vet, Brody. Maya is taken with Brody's good looks and mannerism but most of all the love that he shows for Ashlynn. They become fast friends. Maya continues to push down her growing feelings for Brody.
Maya's mother passed away about 3 years earlier and she never knew her father. Maya's mother told her that he never wanted her and would never tell her anything about him. Maya finds a letter addressed to her in her Aunt's things. Aunt Cece tells her the name of her father and what he did for a living. Maya goes in search of the man but with much reserve.
This is a story of forgiveness, reconciliation and new love. Amy Clipston has become my new favorite author and can't wait to read more of her stuff.
Amy Clipston has developed charming, delightful characters that drew me in right from the first page.
Upon the death of her Great-Aunt CeCe, Maya has moved to Coral Cove, one of her most favorite places with treasured memories of spending much of her childhood there in the summers. Aunt CeCe was her last living relative since her mother died a few years earlier and she never knew her father, not even his name.
Aunt CeCe has left Maya CeCe's Toy Chest as well as the entire building that houses it, including the apartment above it. Maya is an author of romance novels so can write anywhere and also run the beloved toy store. Unfortunately, Maya is experiencing a severe writers block, with the deadline of turning in her manuscript fast approaching. Maya contributes her broken engagement to her difficulty in writing since it is challenging to write about romance under such devastating circumstances.
There are many intriguing situations that occur in this beautifully written story. Maya meets the town veterinarian along with his cute 8 year-old daughter, who convinces Maya to adopt a kitten. When going through some of her aunt's belongings Maya finds a letter addressed to her with information about her father. What an eye-opening shock that is. Now what to do with the information?
This captivating story is sure to stay with you even after the last page is turned.

Maya’s fiancé dumped her and moved to Europe for a “fabulous job.” Her great-aunt dies and leaves her CeCe’s Toy Chest in a lovely coastal town. She meets veterinarian Brody and his precocious daughter Ashlyn. She’s smitten, but he’s dragging his feet to commit.
She’s connected with the father she never knew and whom she was led to believe wanted nothing to do with her. Maya is so desperate to marry and start a family, she nearly makes a stupid mistake.
Best part: When Maya and her dad finally meet, he gives her a box of birthday, Christmas, and graduation cards he’s accumulated throughout her life, hoping they’d meet. Storyline with Ashlyn reminds me of Hallmark movies where the only child of a single parent wants a step-parent.
I adore unique fiction, and this is such an interesting premise. I recommend because of the story itself, writing style, and its ability to transport you into a different world.
i enjoyed the beginning of this book, but then felt it was focusing on background details. Almost as though its setting scene for a series and the mains storyline was not the main focus. DNF

This is the first time I have read this author and she is one I will definitely add to my list. Maya goes back to Coral Cove for her Aunt Cee's funeral and to take over running the Toy Chest, She will be living in the apartment above the store. This is the last of her family as her Mom passed away 3 years ago and Kyle to whom she was engaged and moved to London breaking off the engagement,. She is also a romance writer having writers' block. She was working on stocking things when a kitten came through the door and landed on her lap. Just then a little girl Ashlyn came through the door followed by Dr. Tanner(Brody). They are running an adoption tent a few doors down. Maya adopts the kitten and becomes friends with Brody and Ashlyn thus the story continues on with a lot of things going on. . Maya has a lot of conversations in this story with her best friend Kianna. This book is a VERY GOOD READ.
I've seen it written and I have probably said this myself, but I truly could not put this book down. I loved it so much. It has romance, family, second chances and some disappointments. But most of all a precocious sweet eight year old little girl Ashlyn Tanner. Ms. Clipston has given us some of the greatest characters that you will absolutely fall in love with. Make sure you have a box of tissues handy, you are going to need them.
I want to thank Thomas Nelson through NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this book. The opinions in the review are my own.
I !over this book. It was a nice clean read. I really enjoyed the characters in this book, they were friendly and you absolutely fell in love with most of them.
I highly recommend this book.
Thank you Netgalley and Thomas Nelson for allowing me to read this book for an honest review.
I really liked this story and the love Created between Maya and Ashlyn and eventually Brody. I was so close to rating this with 4 stars but there was a moment towards the end where the author disappointed me. She turned Maya into a person that did not fit with the character that had been developed in the entire book! Not to mention a scene with the ex that was so short and under developed that it didn’t feel like it moved the story in a good way. There was a better way to get to where the author was aiming for.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I practically read the whole book in one day. It was so good that I could not put it down. I have read that Amy Clipson ususally writes Amish fiction but I read very little of Amish fiction and have read none of her Amish fiction. I did read her last contemporary novel and enjoyed it but I think this one is a little better. All the characters and critters were likeable in this book except Maya's ex boyfriend Kyle and he was a first class jerk. The little girl Ashlyn was just adorable. She and a frisky kitten were responsible for Brody getting introduced to Maya. Maya took an instant liking to the little girl and she loved Maya. I did get frustrated with Brody the majority of the book. He was hurt in the past by a girlfriend so was gun shy in committing to a relationship with Maya. He wanted to take things too slow. He was that afraid of getting hurt again.
I really did like this book and hope Amy Clipson continues to write contemporary romance novels.
"Thanks to Netgalley and Thomas Nelson for providing me a digital copy of this book to read and review. All opinions are my own.
This is my first Amy Clipston book and I can guarantee you it won't be my last. It was utterly delightful. The story had the perfect amount of angst vs. HEA. I loved the main characters Brody and Maya and the side stories were great too. Check it out, you won't be disappointed!
