How well can you really know a stranger?

Malcolm is missing.

Clare is certain that she can find him, so she travels to the oceanside city where he last lived to start investigating. However, she soon discovers that not only is Malcolm gone without a trace, but so is his wife, Zoe. Everyone who knew the couple points to Malcolm as the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance, but Clare is certain there’s something darker at play. Something that has to do with Zoe’s family business and the murder of her father years ago.

As Clare pulls back the layers, she finds secrets the entire community is desperately trying to hide. As for Malcolm, his past is far more sinister than Clare could ever have imagined. As she searches for the man who helped her build her career, Clare discovers that he may not be innocent after all. Many women are in grave danger, and she is among them.

A gripping and unputdownable mystery from #1 bestseller The storyline kept me glued to my Kindle through the whole book! I definitely recommend reading this book! Its well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

I appreciated the previous books in this series but I struggled a bit as I had difficulties in understanding the plot and caring for the characters.
It's a "me-not-the-book" case but it's not my cup of tea at the moment.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Dark Mystery At Heart…
The third in the Clare O’Dey series of mysteries Clare investigates a disappearance and a whole community with potentially something to hide. Well written suspense with a credible cast and an intriguing storyline packed with atmosphere and a dark mystery at its’ heart. A worthy series addition.

Having read the previous two books in the series, I was keen to read 'Still here.'

This time private investigator, Clare O'Dey is on a mission to find Malcolm (who she had been working for) and his missing wife. Lune bay and it's residents hold lots of secrets for her to discover.

I feel the author has done a great job with Clare's character. The reader empathises with the domestic abuse she has suffered and I felt invested in her journey.

The book is well plotted, but I felt I was waiting for a climactic point which never seemed to arrive. That said, it was a good read.

Thanks indeed to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
