I have tried and tried to read these but I cannot get into them. I did not know they were part of a series and very hard for me to jump in.
This book was just outstanding. I just had so much fun reading this story. I’m really excited to see what’s next from this author.
I’ve been waiting for the story. This is the dragon that I wanted to read about, and I finally have his story. There is angst and romance and mystery. It’s fun to see the politics and balls and all in all it was a fantastic book.

This is the last book in the series and all the story comes to a conclusion with Angelika and Air as the people who group the remaining dragons together and form an alliance with other shifters to finish the war.
Angelika really comes into her own in this story and finds her place among her people and with her sisters, even if she is the one with no powers, but she has the heart and the way of persuasion that brings people to her.
Airk goes on a mission, but Angelika goes to help, but does not realise that while she has been talking to her sister with plans, Airk has been making different plans with Samael and both end up having to change their plans.
Airk finally gets his mate with Angelika, although he is scared and fights himself and his dragon about this. Eventually events happen that stop the divide with him and his dragon and he is no longer feral and he works at defeating the Red Clan dragon leader.
I loved the closeness of the sisters and the emotions we get with this book. I really enjoyed the world building and way this story came to its conclusion.
The Cursed King is an explosive ending to this amazing series! I loved how the this book ended the series - and I was not expecting the twist at the end!
I absolutely love Airk and Angelika together. Angelika really had more character growth in this book and since I reread the series before diving into this book, I can appreciate how far Angelika has come.
I also loved that the other couples in the series played important roles in this book. It was also great to see the couple together as we got a peek at how they have been doing since their own books.
I highly recommend this series. I especially loved that I read this as I was reading the Inferno Rising series because it made me appreciate this whole PNR world that Abigail Owen has created. I honestly want this series to continue because I miss all the characters. I hope Ms. Owen writes more spin-offs for this series!
I preferred the other books in this series. I struggled to connect to the characters and the story didn't keep my interest.
Overall I think it could be better and would be better for fans of the series rather than someone just starting off.
I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book started off exciting and I enjoyed the two main characters romantic moments. but Airk disappointed me at the end when everyone was fighting but him. If he ripped into the red dragon as much as he did when he first shifted then I would have rated this a 5. He loses all motivation in the end and his mate has to take control even though she doesn't have the powers of the phoenix.
If you like dragons you will love this one! When I ornery dragon refuses to acknowledge that Angelika is his mate sparks literally fly! This is a great read with a lot of action and romance. It’s part of a series, but works well as a stand alone.

The fourth and final book in the series (I think) was about Angelika, the sister with no powers, and Arik, the dragon that couldn’t shift because of his 500 year imprisonment that led to his dragon going feral. Their story was good. I enjoyed it. It had the emotional highs and lows, it had passion, it had an epic battle at the end, and a conclusion that warmed the heart. The author did a really good job tying up loose ends. It was fun and I enjoyed it a lot. The series, as a whole, was entertaining and action filled. The villain was vile and easily hated. Overall, I’d give the series 4 out of 5 stars.
This was an outstanding awesome conclusion. NOOOOOO i want more. I love this series and love these characters.

This is the 4th book in a four book series. I had not read the previous books so it can be done but I imagine the payoff would have been much sweeter having read the whole series.
This is an epic adventure of the supernatural, primarily shifters. Excellent job with world building to flesh out this world of the authors creation. I love an underdog heroine and a scarred hero who doesn’t want to allow anyone near for the others safety. That is my favorite trope - sunshine/grumpy - heroine breaking down the hero’s walls and making his world a better place.
It feels like many of the sci-fi/paranormal romances I’ve been reading lately have been on the shorter side however this one is full length. No cliffhanger. So many rich characters and interwoven plots. I was literally moved to tears at one point and laughed out loud several times.
Trigger warnings - parent death, indecision to be together, witchcraft, abuse flashbacks (hero). Open door, very steamy.
Great book now I need to go back and read the first 3.
5/5
This book brings the series to a good ending, we have the big confrontation close to the end of the book, but man...it was tough getting there. Airk is supposed to be this half feral dragon shifter in the beginning, yet somehow ends up as an emotional cripple who not only can't make up his damned mind about Angelika.
4/5 stars
First off, that ending surprised me!
The Cursed King had a good plot, character depth, and filled with action.
I liked Airk and his character arc. I'm a sucker for the tortured soul trope. Angelika is our persistent phoenix with no powers. I enjoyed the world building and all the different supernatural/mythical creatures in this story. I think this was my favorite story of the series. I also didn't read this series in order and I highly recommend reading it the right way! I think I would have enjoyed aspects of it more.
Very enjoyable finale to this paranormal dragon shifter series! Lots of plot twists and familiar characters from earlier in the series - I was wondering when we would see more of Airk after knowing that Pytheios had imprisoned him for centuries. And of course waiting for Angelika, the last of the 4 Pheonix sisters, to get her HEA. I think it's best to read this series from start to finish to fully appreciate all the worldbuilding and intertwined characters and storylines. I've enjoyed all of this author's shifter tales and look forward to reading what's next!
5/5 stars
I absolutely loved the finale to this shifter series that follows four phoenix sisters on the run and the dragon shifters that fall for them! Angelika and Airk's romance was so good. They were both broken in their own way, dealing with being outsiders and different from either their fellow dragon shifters or phoenix sisters. I believe it helped jump start their friendship to romance and made the bond between them come across stronger. The chemistry and steamy scenes were so good! I loved that we had a virgin hero, which is rare and a fresh perspective! I loved all the little point of view glimpses from the previous dragon/phoenix couples in the series too. It really brought the whole series full circle and I enjoyed seeing bits from all my favorite characters. I would say this book had the most emotional and action packed scenes of the series, especially towards the end. The story gets a little violent and cut throat as the dragon war all came to a head, but I loved it! Overall, it was such a beautifully written, emotional and exciting paranormal romance and my new favorite in the series! I can't wait to re-read this series all over again and see what this author writes next, because I just know it's going to be another favorite.
The next in the Inferno Rising series is here. Loved it! This is Arik and Angelika's story and the two are perfect for each other. Angelika has dormant phoenix powers and Arik after being captured and tortured is unable to shift, therefore unable to lead his people. They come to an agreement of sorts, as with most of these alpha males they are unable to make a firm decision and Arik, was no different. Gah! All in all, in the end, the book ended up being pretty good and left me in a good place. 4. solid stars

I think this was a good paranormal romance for me. I liked the chemistry between the MCs and felt they both were solid characters. This had some good steam. I don't think it's the world's greatest but it was fun and I liked the characters enough to keep reading which sometimes I don't so I think it's a solid read for me. Sub plot was okay and didn't bore me which is always a good sign.
This book was everything I wanted in a dragon shifter book. The worldbuilding is great, the characters are fun, and the romance scenes are spicy. Even though this is part of the series, and part of a bigger world of interconnected books, Abigail Owen is very good at recapping subtly so the readers knows what's happening but doesn't feel like they are being bored to death with old details. The ending felt a little deus ex machina-y, but what do you expect in a story about phoenix quadruplets destined to rule the dragon shifter world? I found myself skimming some of the scenes with Pytheios to get back to characters I actually cared about - I think the book would have been better served just focusing on the protagonists, but I understand wanting to show he's a bad guy, not just tell. Overall, a super fun series for fans of dragon romances.
YES!!! Loved it! This was better then I anticipated, of course the characters were awesome with a few pulls from previous sisters books. I enjoyed their story how he was able to overcome the awful life he had before. I’m no way did I expect that crazy twist ending but damn that was exciting and emotional to read.
So i actually signed up to read this not realizing this was the last in a four-book series. While i was lost sometimes trying to read this as a standalone, i actually was content with the amount of info i had and after i got into the story and had a grasp of what was going on, i got quite invested and couldn't put it down. I would say it was rough for the first 25% trying to get into it, but past that was no trouble. I love the perfectly imperfect characters, the mystical powers, the tortured souls, the evil egomaniacs, and the woman you want to rip to pieces for desecrating your mom, but hey, someone beat you to it. And some seriously hot scenes! #netgalley #thecursedking #entangledpublishing
