Bliss has created characters that many of us can relate too and doesn’t sugar coat anything.
Her characters and their situations are real which makes this story flow so effortlessly.
With humor, drama and fun, this book has it all and was truly a delight to read.
I also loved the banter between the two.
I didn’t think I could love a couple more than I did Preslee and Adam but these two stole my heart!
A nice sweet romance, steamy sex, light read and humor all rolled into one.
I loved this so much not only because it was a beautiful love story but also because it was incredibly realistic as far as characters and emotions

Out of the Blue

Thank you Forever Pub for this eARC!
I will post to my platforms closer to pub date!
A disastrous health report from her doctor brings Preslee to her neighborhood gym where an equally disastrous first attempt at a stair climber turns into a vlog that quickly goes virtual. Yes, Preslee was recording a brief post for the antiques store owned by her father when she forgets to turn off her phone and records her attempt to keep up with the increasing pace of the machine. It also records her first flirtatious interaction with Adam, the hunky gym owner, and the obvious attraction between the two.
That developing relationship drives Out of the Blue, a delightful, laugh out loud romance. There are serious issues here: family problems, dangerous quick weight loss plans, and rejection issues but what shines through is Preslee’s wellness journey. Diagnosed as prediabetic, she knows that good food choices and exercise are necessary so she follows Adam’s diet and workout plan hoping to improve health and love life. Will she be successful at both?
So light the scented candles, add bubble bath to the tub and get comfortable with this light hearted romance. You’ll love it! 5 stars.

This was a very cute romantic comedy. I liked both of the main characters and their chemistry together. There were a couple things that bothered me, though. First, Presley is described as someone who never ever exercised and ate whatever she wanted, and that’s why she’s plus size. While there may be women like that, but it’s rare. It just comes off as insulting. I know this author has written other books with curvier main characters and from what I’ve seen in the descriptions of those, the situation is different, which I’m glad to see. The other thing I didn’t love, was that at some point after finding out about “the bet”, she just gets a little whiny and borderline annoying. To be honest, I didn’t think the bet made was all that bad, although it makes sense that she lost trust in Adam when she already had trust and self confidence issues.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and plan on checking out more of the series.
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for providing me access to this eARC for my honest opinion!
Preslee recently discovered that she is prediabetic. She is ready to make some life changes. She decides her first step is to get a gym membership. That's where she meets Adam.
Adam agrees to be Preslee's personal trainer in order to drum up more business for his gym. All he has to do is get her to follow her weight loss journey via her vlog. What starts out as a job soon blossoms into so much more.
Preslee and Adam= couple goals! Seriously, I could not get enough of these two. OUT OF THE BLUE hit me in my feels. It is emotional, fun and sexy. I couldn't put it down.
Full Disclosure - Books with body image/health and fitness themes don't always work for me. Out of the Blue was a completely different take on this theme and I kind of liked the honesty behind it. Preslee joins a gym because of her health. I loved that. I loved that it wasn't about a dare or a challenge or anything external or superficial. She had legit reasons for making a lifestyle change and did the work. Adam is the gym owner and the trainer that she hired after some "mishaps" on her first gym visit. He is honest and sweet and genuinely cares about his clients success.
I appreciated that the banter was good. I liked that the body image themes were honest but not mean. I liked that they had a conversation about body image and the things we assume for him and for her. If you liked One to Watch or Fastest Way to Fall - this might be one that you need.
