Loved it. A simple message told in such an engaging way that kids can’t help but take it in and start thinking about it all. The pictures are great and the story is told through us talking about the pictures and through the words that aren’t there. I can’t wait to get a hard copy of this book to read again with my little ones.

As the father of a seven year old who wants to paint his nails and grow his hair long, I needed this book. I've been feeling uncomfortable and this book was the kick in my pants to just let go of my gender expectations and not worry if he's going to be made fun of. THANK YOU!

This is a beautiful story about how all things can be fun no matter your gender. The illustrations were unique and went along perfectly with the words. A boy starting school started to find things he found fun not so fun after getting picked on and told it was for girls only. It goes on to help him gain his confidence back and really show kids and I believe even adults that it is okay to like things and not link them to only one gender. Fun things are for everyone.

The illustrations and cheerful narrative are a great introduction to understanding tolerance and acceptance among children. I really enjoyed the chalkboard sketches and the overall message to be yourself, and to not "yuck someone else's yum". Nail polish, sparkles, dressing up and even girls playing sports are all examined against push back, and then ultimately given acceptance.

The characters learn what it feels like to be told you can't like something if you are a boy (or other things if you are a girl), but they also learn to find their chosen friends. The book gives the readers this message as well: Find what you like, then find your crew.

Terrific story about inclusion and not bullying someone for liking different things. The illustrations and colors are beautiful and bright. The story is so good for kids of all ages. Especially would be helpful for kids starting school that way they know it’s okay to be different. It’s okay to like something because you like it not because everyone tells you to like it. Hmm maybe some adults could benefit from this book too.

It is such a fun and cute read. I feel like your young ones will definitely enjoy it and the illustrations are beautiful. I would most definitely recommend this book.

This book is brilliant. I loved the illustrations and the easy to read text. I think this book should be read by everyone. The world we live in so many people will only give children things for their gender ie. Boys to be given dinosaurs, trains and cars and girls be given dolls, Barbies and a toy kitchen, does it matter if a boy had nail varnish on and loved glitter?! Does it matter if a girl liked trains and dinosaurs?! I love that this book is a reminder that it doesn't matter what gender you are, you can play with whatever toys you like, wear nail varnish if you want to, you can be anything you want to be! Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book.

What a gorgeous book! Aimed at pre-school children, Fun For Anyone! tells an important story about a little boy called Weston, who is teased at school about the things he likes to wear. It's very unkind. We learn about how he overcomes his worries about what other people think and get to see Weston find the confidence to be himself and find friends who like the same things as he does, friends who accept him for who he is. It's a really lovely story and a big lesson in letting people enjoy things - a lesson many adults would benefit from as well as children. The illustrations are really lovely as well.

I LOVE this book! I cannot wait to get my own copy and get it into my classrooms! We have to have the "all books are everyone books" conversation at least monthly, and I'm thrilled for another tool to reinforce the message.

This is such a great, accessible exploration of the idea that certain things are gendered and a wonderful guide for kids for how to challenge that. When we talk about this issue we don't often go far enough and actually give kids words and a toolkit for how to manage the negative messages they might hear, and this book does!

Not only that, it's actually an enjoyable, fun-to-read book on its own merits! Sometimes "message" books sacrifice entertainment to get the point across, but this one is pleasant, engaging reading and had AWESOME illustrations. They're so bright, lively, and full of little in-jokes (I lol'ed at the board game names)!

This will be an awesome addition to elementary school, classroom, and personal libraries!
