I went into this book with high hopes, and I’m so pleased to report it did not disappoint! I’m a simple gal who likes simple pleasures - namely the one bed trope and fake dating - so this was right up my alley. After the introduction to Dean and Solange in the first book, I was super curious as to how this would all play out, and I found it to be a delightful read with the perfect amount of steam.

We loooove a fake dating scheme where one party has no interest in marriage, and it’s always so sweet by the end. The banter between Dean and Solange kept my attention for the entire read and I really didn’t want it to end when I found the number of pages left rapidly decreasing.

I’m a huge fan of Mia Sosa - a new go-to author of mine for sure. Thank you to Net Galley and Avon for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

This was a really cute book and one of the best portrayals of fake dating I have seen where the couple is actually fake dating. I loved how it started with solange interrupting Dean’s wedding. There were so many funny and unexpected parts of this book. I thought it was very unique and a very fun read. I also really loved Dean and thought he was so sweet. It was also nice to catch up on all of the side characters we met in the first book.

I truly do not have words for how much I loved this book. This was my first Mia Sosa book and I can't wait to go back and read more. This book manages to be sexy, sweet, and so insanely funny all at once.

Solange (my idol) Pereira is such an amazing leading lady. I love that she is not afraid to speak her mind, is so funny, cares deeply for her family, and knows what she deserves. Dean is also perfect book boyfriend material he just needed a push in the right direction after almost marrying the wrong girl. Luckily Solange stops his wedding and that's where this adorable fake dating story featuring sex parties, karaoke, and axe throwing begins.

I also loved the supporting cast including Lina and Max (can't wait to go back and read their book), Brandon, and her whole family. I can't wait to read more from Sosa who I see becoming a auto-buy author for me.

I also love the representation in this book which I hope we continue to see more of in romance books. I waiting this long to mention it in the review cause I hate that I still have to mention diversity as it should be so much more common by now. But I loved seeing Lina with her family and the mix of adding in Spanish into the book.

Thank you to Avon and Netgalley for the ARC for my honest review.

I feel like I've been waiting forever to read this book, from the first moment I read Dean and Solange in The Worst Best Man I knew I would love their book. And I absolutely did! This was well worth the wait!

There are so many things to love about this book. It has all the tropes, and it even manages to double down on fake dating! It's two fake dating plans for the price of one book, and it's all absolutely delightful. I was really wondering how it was going to work with Solange being the one to break up the wedding, but I should have never doubted Mia Sosa! And the way it all was tied up with the grand gesture at the end?? *Chefs kiss!*

Everything in between was wonderful as well, and I'll be honest, quite bananas at times! I laughed out loud and was completely blindsided by some of the antics that take place! There's karaoke, a party that had me thinking oh she went there followed by a baby (!), only one bed, "let's do it once to get it out of our systems", big family dynamics, low angst and high spice! I loved the bromance that's still there between Max and Dean, and all of the Tia's and the cousins were a highlight! There were a few parts of the main conflict that didn't work for me, and I wish there had been a little more clear communication between Dean and Solange, and I hate to compare but it didn't quite live up to the magic that is TWBM, but it all worked out in the end!

This book was amazing, not only does it have everything that I love in a rom-com like, fun family members, a ton of humor and steam, it was so uplifting and motivational. We meet Dean and Solange, they do the whole fake relationship thing to help boost Deans image at his job, all and all, this whole set up was something that kept me turning those pages, I just couldn't put this book down.

💒Review - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5💒

This might be my favorite book of 2022, so far. I loved everything about this story. It was sweet, funny, anxiety inducing (at times), and I could not put it down.

Solange Pereira helps at a wedding her cousin is planning. What Solange does not plan on, is running into the bride declaring her love for someone else just minutes before she’s supposed to walk down the aisle. Solange now must decide if she’s going to keep it to herself or object to a wedding where she knows no one.

After speaking up, Solange tries to apologize to Dean Chapman, the groom. What Solange doesn’t understand, is why he doesn’t seem to be upset about it. They end up becoming friends and Dean approaches Solange to help him with something at work. To help Dean become a partner at his law firm, Solange agrees to pretend to be his girlfriend.

Getting to know each other while fake dating, Solange finds out that Dean isn’t interested in marrying for love. He has a timeline and plan set up and it doesn’t involve love. On the other hand, Solange doesn’t want to marry out of convenience, she wants love and all the warm and fuzzy feelings that come along with it. With their different views of love and relationships, can the two keep up the fake dating act? Or does it turn into something neither one of them were expecting?

This book combined so many of my favorite tropes and I loved every minute of it. Fake dating, friends to lovers, and one bed trope just to name a few. And if you want some SPICY scenes, this book has that too. Solange and Dean’s interactions were sarcastic, funny, sweet, and I just loved these two. Seeing their character development throughout the story was a big highlight as well.

I could go on and on about this book, but if you’re looking for a romantic comedy with some steam, this is the one to read.

The Wedding Crasher is being released TOMORROW, April 5, 2022.

Thank you to NetGalley, Avon Books, and Harper Voyager US for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Well this was a DELIGHT!

I really enjoyed The Worst Best Man, so I was SO excited to receive an e-ARC of The Wedding Crasher and it did not disappoint! If you like:

* Fake-Dating, Opposites Attract romances
* Forced Proximity / One-Bed
* great chemistry and steam

Then this is the book for you!! The relationship between Dean and Solange was just wonderful and while frustrating at times, the payoff (and the situation of said payoff) at the end was great! It was fun to be back with Solange's big extended family (the TIA'S! and seeing Max and Lina from The Worst Best Man!) and how she helped get Dean out of his shell. Also, there is one scene at a house party that was straight FIRE (IYKYK)!

Overall, I just really enjoyed this!

Perfection. Seriously, this book is amazing. I wish I could start it over and read it for the first time. I absolutely love the characters Mia Sosa has created with this series. Lina in the Worst Best Man was the first time I saw a romance character with my personality traits and now Sosa has gone and introduced me to Solange and she also has similar personality traits to me and I just want to soar. Solange and Dean are just perfect, and Sosa has added so much tension and steam and amazingness into this story. There's moments where your jaw is just hanging open and there's moments where you want to cry and moments where you can't help to laugh hysterically. Sosa really has another winner here and it's definitely going on my list of favorites for this year (and probably forever).

I LOVED this book! It had everything I love in a book: fake dating, opposites attract, dual pov, strong family bonds, a witty main character, forced proximity, tension, some 🌶🌶🌶, and pop culture references. It was also hilarious, and I laughed a ton. This book was fun, and I’m here for it. The Wedding Crasher is one of my favorite books of 2022 so far.

I really loved this follow up to The Worst Best Man. I'm such a fan of series like this that follow groups of family members or friends, and it was good to see Solange again. At the start of the novel, Solange interrupts Dean's wedding because Ella, his soon to be wife, is in love with someone else. Soon after, They both end up needing someone to be in a fake relationship with, so they strike a deal to be friends and fake romantic partners. If you've read any romance novels, you'll know what to expect from a fake dating trope, but what makes this one special is that the characters are really engaging and interesting, and are working through some things on their own and together. I can't wait for the next in the series - I'm hoping for Jaslene!

The Wedding Crasher is a stand-alone novel that takes place after The Worst Best Man and is sure to leave you laughing.

Solange and Dean meet when she stops his marriage of convenience because the bride is in love with someone else. Solang tells Dean that if he needs her help with anything to please let her know, but she didn't intend for him to take her up on the offer by agreeing to fake-date to help him gain a promotion at his law firm. As sparks flare and fake dating lines blur, they have to figure out if they want the same things in a life partner.

I don't even know where to start with how much I enjoyed this book. It made me laugh and smile as I sped through it. I enjoyed watching Solange and Dean work through their emotional damage and hesitations at falling in love. This was a great fake dating tale that included accidentally visiting a sex party.

Trust me when I say you don't want to miss this one!

Thanks to Avon Books and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa

This is the follow up book to Sosa's hilarious 'The Worst Best Man'. That book was a true joy to read so I was so glad when this one lived up to the expectations and was also just as wonderful, funny and steamy! While it is a follow up where we visit a familiar cast of characters, this book stands alone and doesn't need to be read as part of a series.

Solange Pereira is supposed to be in the shadows, helping assist her wedding planner cousin on a big event when her voice gets the better of her and she ends up stopping the ceremony as an impromptu wedding crasher. What started as a disastrous meet-cute leads to two strangers, Solange and Dean Chapman (former groom), getting trapped in a lie they have to fake their way out of. But, what starts out as a sham quickly develops into so much more as their true feelings start to coincide with their ruse.

These characters are so wonderful--full of humor, grit and love, Sosa writes a laugh out loud rom-com that has as much emphasis on a romance as it does on a tight-knit family of immigrant women full equal parts love and spunk!

Coming out April 5th; make sure you get your hands on this one for the perfect wedding season rom-com.

Many thanks to Mia Sosa, Avon, and NetGalley for the advanced reading copy.

Is there anything better than being surprised by a book? No, I don’t think so either 😉 This was my first book by Mia Sosa, but let me tell you.. it definitely won’t be my last. I was completely blown away!

The Wedding Crasher is a dual POV opposites attract, fake dating romance with a splash of forced proximity and “it’s just a hookup” mixed in. It’s trope-y and cheesy at times like a rom com can be, but it is SO WELL DONE.

Solange is my spirit animal. She is a badass female, fierce and loyal with a witty, smart mouth whereas Dean is uptight, structured and straightforward. They complimented each other so well and it showed.

That brings me to the STEAM! Don’t let that bubble gum pink cover fool you, because I sure was 😋. The build up and pacing was perfect. The book was practically dripping in sexual tension waiting to be wrung out. Then, the HOUSE PARTY! (IYKYK) Ohh, man, I wasn’t prepared.. then I didn’t want it to stop 😊😊

There was just so much to love from the palpable chemistry to the wonderfully loud and meddling family to the secondary characters. I can’t recommend this book enough.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to @avonbooks and @harpervoyagerus for the gifted copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

What happens when you are assisting your cousin’s wedding planner business and you witness something terrible the day of the wedding? Do you say something to stop the wedding in the name of true love or you mind your business and pretend you never saw a thing?
This was a difficult decision for Solange Pereira.

Unfortunately, Dean Chapman has a life plan set up. That includes marrying someone for the sake of securing a stable future and being a power couple. He was not counting on stumbling on one of his “steps” to have the perfect life. The opportunity on being a partner in the law firm he works for is threatened by the fact that he no longer has a partner. So, what else can he do that announce to everyone that the girl that crashed his wedding is new flame?

What a mess right? Now Dean must convince Solanges to play along. Thankfully Solanges is still feeling bad about the whole wedding situation and decides to join the scheme and help Dean land his “dream” job. As they spend time together, their friendship grows and it couldn’t be any clearer that they are complete opposites. There’s absolutely no way that what started as fake-dating could end up as something more, right? Right?

I love starting my reviews with “WHEN I TELL YOU…”, so this one will not be the exception.
When I tell you that I laughed my butt off and read this entire book with heart emojis for eyes, I’m not lying. This book transported me to D.C. I felt like I was beside them, watching everything develop. I, of course, was rooting for them from the very beginning, because that is just what you do. The chemistry between them is palpable and you just want them to get it on!! I did not feel the need to take out my chancla this time around. Solanche is hilarious and definitely in a different mindset from Lina. I loved her even more. Again, I’m in love with the family dynamic. These tias are the best. They’re so nosy, they remind me of my own tias. Solange’s relationship with her mom is heartwarming. Dean’s approach is also incredible. How he wants to be part of a family like hers but refuses to leave his mom hanging when she needed him the most. Agh this book is just perfection. Mia, I love you forever. Bringing this masterpiece to life. WOW (standing ovation for you ma’am)

Get this book on April 5, 2022.
Go ahead and pre-order it.
Thank you Netgalley, Avon, and Harper Voyager for both the galley and the physical copies.

Mia's Romance novels are always multifaceted and never predictable in my opinion. The Wedding Crasher was a fun read that gave us an adventure premise of crashing a wedding filled with unexpected twists and turns with our love interests Dean and Solange. The chemistry as always in Mia's books are so palpable and always family plays a big role. Let's not forget the family drama. Can we get a high cheer for the Matriarchs! I absolutely loved loved the family dynamics that were bouncing off the pages as Dean and Solange's story took flight. It was a fun read but also brought hilarity, great banter, heartwarming moments, fire chemistry and of course a happily ever after you can get behind!

I was introduced to Mia Sosa in 2019 when a friend was talking about The Worst Best Man. My friend was talking about how amazing the book was, so I read it as soon as I could and realized how right she was. Sosa writes charming and entertaining books that you can’t help to want more. So reading The Wedding Crasher was a no brainer and I’m happy to report It had the exact same level of charm and romcom vibe as The Worst Best Man.

The Wedding Crasher starts with Solange agrees to help her cousin with wedding planning before she moves away from DC. What Solange didn’t anticipate was stopping a wedding on her first day. But that is exactly what she does when she crashes the wedding after over hearing the bride talking about being unfaithful to the groom. And honestly Dean, the jilted groom, should be furious at her. Instead he uses her in his fake dating scheme to get an assignment at his job that he desperately wants. As teh two of them get closer and their fake dating gets more complicated they have to figure out if it is really a sham or if there is something else shimmering between these two polar opposites.

In theory the book description for The Wedding Crasher sounds a little crazy crackers. But Sosa wrote Dean and Solange with so much charm and chemistry that is all seems to make sense in the end. These two characters are polar opposites and get themselves into some truly unexpected situations (there is one scene in-particular that I’m still laughing over) there is a chemistry that is undeniable between them. What truly could have been a disaster ended up feeling like something that was meant to be and that’s why I enjoyed this book so much.

What can I tell you about The Wedding Crasher other than you need to add it to you TBR. You will be entertained and you will swoon and you will laugh. It’s a book you will be happy you read for the joy factor alone. I’m not sure what else Mia Sosa has in store for us book wise, but I know I’m there to read it.

Mia Sosa is surely the Rom-Com Queen!
I love how reading The Wedding Crasher was effortless, yet like always with romance I learn about myself.
This is the coolest twist on fake dating as Solange's mom puts her up to the task. Solange has to fake date Dean for family matters. Dean needs to fake date Solange for advancement. The perfect fake dating pairing.
After Dean is left at the alter, and he and Solange strike up this deal, I don't think I was prepared to laugh so much in this book.
Mia is so amazing at packing so much emotion and comedy into a steamy romance. The Latinx representation is also so amazing. I truly loved The Wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa so much!

Out tomorrow!!

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the complimentary ARC. All opinions provided are my own.

There are some books that just feel effortless & that’s Mia Sosa’s The Wedding Crasher.

You all, this book is funny, sharp, FUN, family-centered & as sexy as forearms. Featuring a hot but semi-awkward hero, a heroine who isn’t afraid to tell the truth even when the truth puts her between a rock & a hard place, & a fake dating situation that turns into something that could change their lives forever.

Solange is Lina’s—from The Worst Best Man—cousin. Dean is Max’s—from the same aforementioned book—BFF. They’re brought together when Solange helps encourage Dean’s fiancée to be honest about her heart after Solange catches said fiancée in an intimate moment with someone else before the ceremony.

The chemistry between these two is played up beautifully—these two CARE—as is their conflict, which is thoughtful and well done. Their sex scenes had me internally clapping, including moments like him sliding down the wall bc he’s so overwhelmed by the hotness of it all. Me too, Dean, me too.

This is such a good book & a stellar example of a fantastic rom com that activates emotions on *all* levels.

5 ⭐️. Out tomorrow!

CWs: Dean’s mother moved them around in his childhood to be closer to her romantic partners who never worked out. Solange’s father abandoned them & his heart had already been given to someone else.

When the woman who stops your wedding from happening and prevents you from making a huge mistake, the last thing you expect is to ask her to be your fake girlfriend, let alone fall for her. Dean Chapman had his life all planned out. Get married and make partner at his law firm were at the top of the list. He didn't have time for love. Why would he lie about being in a relationship so quickly after the failed attempt at marriage?!?! Oh yeah, his douchebag colleague Peter. So what does Solange Perreira do? AGREE! Oh my!

I loved Solange and Dean together! They were well-matched. Solange was full of wanderlust; Dean fully rooted where he is. He's the peanut butter to her jelly. They balance each other out and leads to them realizing that the missing pieces they've been looking for have been right in front of them.

This was a great follow up to The Worst Best Man.

I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.

I liked The Worst Best Man better, but it was nice to return the world of this Brazilian group of tias and fehlas.

I think I just thought sone characters and plot points lacked depth and it got predictable at times.
