Awww, this was so cute. The book starts out with super dramatic drama, and I was there for it. Through a series of events, both Solange and Dean need to fake date. I am trash for a fake relationship, especially one where they *study* in order to be believable.

This book has a good mix of story on both sides, heat, and comedy. Dean has a work nemesis who is a legitimate jerk, and may be off putting, but that kind of jerk 100% exists. In the end, Dean and Solange have both experienced personal growth and gotten together for real (obviously, it's a romance). It's cute.

I really enjoyed this one. Maybe not as much as the previous book in the series, but it was definitely a fast fun read.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Now that I'm watching season 2 of Bridgerton, this trope makes a lot more sense!

Dean Chapman doesn't believe in love. But he's getting married to someone who will support his vision of a successful life and gain clout in his law office. Unfortunately for him, Solange Pereira interferes and crashes the wedding. They agree to begin a fake relationship to help each other with mutual issues and...well, you know the rest.

This combines a trope I have come to dislike in most cases (except for when it comes to the Viscount?!) and fake dating which I do enjoy. It felt clunky at times and didn't do the first trope justice, but it was sexy and spicy and fun and quite enjoyable for the most part. Perfect escapism, which is what romance is supposed to be right?

First, I want to start by saying I loved this book. The Worst Best Man was wonderful and I loved so many elements of it from the relationship to the family to the atmosphere. I'm always wary if sequels can do their predecessors justice and in this case, boy did The Wedding Crasher show up! I think part of why I loved this one so much was because it's the fake dating trope. I love this trope so much because it really gives the added element of the couple faking it having to share this secret that usually no one else knows about and there is its own intimacy in that. This book also includes the one-bed trope and that one is always so fun too.

Overall, Solange and Dean are such a unique pairing. I felt like at times when they talked about the fact that they were different I was screaming to them that they really weren't. They had incredible chemistry and the sex scenes were phenomenal! Truly, if there was ever a book that showed up the sex scenes compared to it's predecessor The Wedding Crasher turned it out. Again, I was so happy to see this little family and the way they love so fiercely. It's a family dynamic I relate to so much. I'm so glad I got a chance to read this because it truly deserves high praise!

I feel like this has been the month where I'm just devouring great romance reads! The heroine is so incredibly strong and independent in this book. I love how the author gave her character more depth. This definitely added fire to the perfectly built enemies-to-lovers trope in this book. The chemistry between the main characters was off the charts! A must read for anyone who loves romcoms!

Huge thanks Harper Voyager, Avon Books, and Mia Sosa for my e-ARC in exchange for the honest review.

After The Worst Best Man, Mia Sosa's The Wedding Crasher is the second book in the series. Solange, Lina's cousin, is the protagonist of the novel. Solange meets Dean, the groom of the wedding she's been expected to assist when her wedding planner cousin assigns her a duty. Solange overhears something she shouldn't have heard. The ceremony, however, comes to a stop when Solange is unable to keep silent and complains. Solange feels bad for the groom after ruining his wedding, and she'll go to any length to make amends for her actions.

This book is everything. I like its fake dating storyline, and Sosa delivered with a cast of colorful, amusing people that have plenty of chemistry. Learning about the heroine's Brazilian culture and her huge, noisy family was fascinating. Solange is hilarious and reuniting with her cousins and tias was a blast! Dean and Solange's conversation was flirtatious, hilarious, and a bit nasty. From start to finish, you'll be laughing.

I felt like I had a greater connection with the first book. I was captivated by both characters and their chemistry. Only two issues prevented me from giving it five stars. I found several chapters to be a touch lengthy. It could be simpler to focus on the primary plot if there are fewer representations. There are some parts of the story that aren't necessary. Overall, I was invested in Solange and Dean's story. I can’t wait to hear the thoughts of others.

I had high expectations for this book because I have heard nothing but good things about this authors past work. The book started off very well but it kind of veered off at a certain point. I had a hard time finding any interest in the plot or the characters. Besides my issues, I am happy about a book with great POC rep that was written by a POC author. Definitely looking forward to more of her work.

The Wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa really does know how to drag you in when you're least expecting it

plot/spacing- basically this book follows Solange and Dean in dual povs, Solange crashed his wedding, and now he needs a fake girlfriend, who better to ask then the person who basically stopped his wedding? I found this perfectly fast paced, and i enjoyed it a lot.

what i liked- i liked the tenstion, their relationship, the culture that her family brought in, and the hardships of life

what i disliked- nothing stuck out to me that i didn't dislike besides peter.

I liked the first book in this series, Worst Best Man, so I was excited to get an ARC of this second book and I absolutely loved it! I had a hard time putting it down and enjoyed it even more than the first book.

I'm a big fan of humor and steam in romance books and this did not disappoint. Solange and Dean have undeniable chemistry and it was just really fun to read.

I love the family dynamic in this series. It always leads to heartwarming scenes, humor, and, of course, meddling.

I'm becoming a big fan of Mia Sosa. It'll be interesting to see which family member is focused on in the next book.

5 Stars.

Thanks to NetGalley and Avon for providing me with an eARC of this title in exchange for an honest review.

Solange is roped into helping her wedding planner cousin and finds herself audience to the bride sneaking away to talk with a male member of the bridal party. Declarations of love aside, she just can't let the bride walk down the aisle knowing that there's doubt. That funny feeling is compounded when she meets the groom, Dean Chapman, he's handsome and charismatic and not the type to deserve a bride that has feelings for another man.

Dean is seeing this wedding as more of a business deal than anything, but when a random woman stops the ceremony, his plans begin to fall apart. His upward mobility at the law firm hinged on the union so instead of it being a complete wash he convinces Solange to be his fake girlfriend to look more settled for the higher ups and woo a potential new hire.

They're playing a dangerous game as the fake relationship begins to blossom into something real.

After loving The Worst Best Man I thought this would be an instant hit, but the chemistry between Dean and Solange kind of fell flat for me and I think that the story leaned far too into Solange being the typical free spirit, but Dean being up tight, but not really.

They both felt a lot like caricatures and kind of forced which made the entire book feel off to me. I felt like I was just hovering on the outside of the story, not fully engaged.

This is just my experience though.

Mia Sosa is back with another steamy romance in The Wedding Crasher. Solange Pereira is helping her cousin at a wedding when she hears the bride-to-be profess her love for someone, who isn't the groom, in another room. When the wedding happens, Solange can't help but crash the wedding giving the bride and out, which she takes. Shortly after the wedding, she comes face-to-face with the groom-to-be, Dean Chapman, when he asks for her help. Dean is helping his law firm woo a potential new lawyer to the firm, but he was given the task, along with a coworker (a total slimeball), when they learned Dean was in a new relationship WITH SOLANGE. That's right he let that fly out of his mouth hoping she would take pity on him after crashing his wedding. Feeling bad about what she may have put him through Solange agrees to participate in this fake relationship because she thinks she won't get feelings for Dean and no one will find out about it at his firm. Oh Solange...

If you've read The Worst Best Man you'll notice some re-occurring characters are coming back into the scene, as Solange is the cousin of TWBM's female protagonist. I loved reading The Wedding Crasher and devoured it over the weekend. The chemistry between Dean and Solange leapt off the page. One of my favorite scenes was the karaoke performance by Dean. I had his song in my head for at least an hour, really how could you not. Mia Sosa has easily become an auto-buy author for me and luckily she has a backlist for me to enjoy as well. I hope you enjoy diving into Dean and Solange's love story as much as I did.

Thank you to NetGalley, Avon and Harper Voyager for an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own.

This was a cute book, even if the title is slightly deceptive. Well, that isn't a completely fair statement - it does start with the crashing of a wedding but the majority of the plot does not revolve around that event. I realize that it is referring to the character and not the event, but whatever. It is a cute book. This is a great strangers to friends to lovers, even if it feels a bit rushed at times. The fake dating trope is strong and well done, plus it is always fun to read books that switch between characters. The family relationships are well written and I loved all of the Brazilian culture in this book - I want all of the food now. It was an easy enough book to read, the stakes were always really clear, and I was never worried about the status of the happily ever after of this book. 3.75/5

3.5 out of 5 stars. It would have been higher but the end fell flat for me! I ended up less interested in their relationship and more interested in their work lives.

I loveeed this book. One of my favourite tropes is the fake dating trope and this book is one of the best fake dating books I’ve ever read. Dean was such a loveable characters as well as solange. The entire family bond was suck fun to read about and overall I would definitely recommend this book.

This was a super enjoyable second book in this series of standalones from Mia Sosa. I enjoyed The Worst Best Man (the first in the series) and this one did not disappoint!

This story is about Solange crashing Dean's wedding and in turn Dean asking Solange to fake a relationship between them so he can swoon a prospect into joining his law firm and then hopefully become a partner. Fake relationship for the win!

The chemistry between Solange and Dean played off each other's strengths and weaknesses, which didn't come across as fake or too cheesy. The character development was done well and gave me a sense that I actually knew them. And of course, their chemistry comes with awesome steam!

Definitely recommend this cute, steam fake dating rom com!

Have you ever wanted to crash a wedding before? Solange didn't want to... but her nerves and circumstances won her out!

Solange thinks she has life all figured out... move away from D.C., start a fresh life in possibly Ohio and live her single/ happy free life. What she doesn't expect is meeting a handsome groom and stumbling in on a situation where you had to "speak now."
Dean is an eligible bachelor and one of Solange's cousins (Max, ahem ahem Worst Best Man) best friends. When an opportunity arises for him to potentially make partner, he HAS to find a girlfriend. Solange is the first woman that comes to mind... and the fake dating begins! But will their story be a fake filled what may have been dating tale? Or will this one be a story for the happily ever after books?

Mia Sosa shines once more in "The Wedding Crasher." The plot kept me reading and laughing every page or so, especially with the contraption that Dean had to wear! Although there were some loose plot holes in the middle and some unnecessary chapters, this book is on par with Sosa's other novel, "Worst Best Man." The STEAM level is high BUT warranted as chemistry sizzles off the page. It was great to read about a Latina family and the diversity/ culture that Sosa brings to the table. I look forward to reading what she has up her sleeve next!

* This book can be read as a standalone. However; I recommend reading "Worst Best Man' first. *

AHHHHH how was this better than the first one? I loved 'the worst best man' a lot but this one took the cake.
Being brazilian, I constantly search for books with latin representation and diversity. So finding this series by Mia Sosa honestly made me so happy.

Fake dating is a superior trope and 'the wedding crasher' did it so well. Dean was everything, and Solange was the baddest. This book had romance, comedy, and emotion.. what more could I want? It also showed strong women being... strong women through different generations, and I always adore seeing that. This was also such a fun & quick read. I flew through it. so so cute!!

This was an enjoyable story to me for the most part! I did find myself cringing quite a bit, but I think that is just supposed to be part of how they are forced together-through awkwardness that ends up paying off. I do think if I had read the other book by this author it would have clicked more for me so I gave 4 stars instead of 3 knowing that's likely my fault and the character development wasn't quite there based on that. There is some really funny dialogue in here as well.

This book was fantastic!! The main characters were lovable, intelligent, independent, and just all-around great humans! They banter and chemistry between them was great and the way they were brought together definitely made for an interesting storyline! Similar to the first book from Sosa, I loved the diversity in this book and it was so fun to see Solange’s family! The fake dating trope is super fun and really well done in this novel! Really hoping for another book for this series because I love this family and Sosa’s writing!!

The Wedding Crasher brings all the laughs and feels with this nostalgic, endearing story reminiscent of our favorite romantic comedies, full of funny banter, heartfelt moments, and sweet romance.

Our story follows two mismatched souls who are total opposites. Dean is an accomplished lawyer who thrives on organization and structure. Solange is a down-to-earth teacher who is full of life and wanderlust. Together they may seem like an unsuited pair, but what happens when circumstances and one fake dating arrangement have them looking at each other in a new light?

I love the irresistible charm Sosa brings to her stories! Her characters are always so clever yet perfectly sweet. The chemistry was off the charts, and the pop culture references were a fun addition. (That Love is Blind reference!) I loved how complimentary Dean and Solange were together, and I ADORED seeing the family and my favorite, the lovable Max, return for some humorous moments.

My only disconnect was that the romance felt like it had a touch too much of the instant-love trope, and I wished there was more angst and tension between the two. But I do love how the story came full circle and how the two found their counterpart in each other. It made my heart absolutely MELT.

3.5/5

I loved this book!! This is the first time I read a book by Mia Sosa and immediately ordered The Worst Best Man. Her writing is fun, light and easy to follow.

In a nut shell, the story is about Solange crashing Dean's wedding and in turn Dean asking Solange to fake a relationship between them so he can swoon a prospect into joining his law firm. A move that could potentially solidify him becoming a partner at his firm.

The chemistry between Solange and Dean was apparent from the beginning, but I enjoyed that the author didn't give you too much too soon. You got bits and pieces, at all the right moments, giving the story continuous momentum and keeping the reader engaged. They played off each other's strengths and weaknesses, which didn't come across as fake or too cheesy. The character development was nicely done and made all the characters believable, even the secondary cast. It gave me a sense that I actually knew these people. Be warned, this book is spicy! There are quite a few steamy scenes. Brace yourselves!

And can we talk about the Latin representation? Being Cuban-American, I appreciated Solange's family dynamic so much because it mirrors mine. The crazy tias? Yup, I got some of those! And the primas? I have some of those, too! It was easy to relate to quite a few events throughout the book, for example, the food preparation. This made me chuckle, as there is no Latin event that doesn't warrant lots of food! Sosa did a great job of portraying the tight familial bonds in Latin culture, especially that of Solange and her moms.

I couldn't put this book down! Do yourself a favor and get a copy of this book on Pub Day, 4/5. You won't be disappointed!
