The Wedding Crasher is fun and fast and light and was the perfect book for me to sink into during an early morning flight. This story of Solange and Dean was engaging and cute from the first scene when she crashes his wedding. Their fake relationship was the perfect set up for tension and heat and when it finally combusted it was so worth the work to get there. Some of the best parts in these books (both this and the Worst Best Man) are when we get whole family moments and the deep interworkings of the strong women who raised strong women and how their choices are compounding in the next generation. It gives an already fun romance some extra heart.

Overall, I ended up enjoying this book. Unfortunately, it took me about 60% of the book before I actually was invested in the story at all (normally I wouldn't have even read that far if I wasn't feeling a book, but I wanted to be able to review the book in it's entirety). I think, for me, this book just didn't have much about either of the lead POVs that I personally could connect with, and it was a little too slow a burn for me. However, the later part of the book was more fun and interesting, especially once we got some time with the main couple spending time with their families, both sides of which I loved (but especially the Tias). I feel like that is when we really got to know these characters better and to understand them.

I would still recommend this book for readers who love a really slow burn romance and want something with more diverse characters.

When his marriage of convenience falls through, Dean asks Solange to be his fake date for a series of meetings with a potential new colleague. The law firm is eager to lure the new recruit and her business contacts into their fold. Dean needs this win if he wants to make partner.

Solange, feeling guilty for her role in his wedding fiasco, agrees. As they get to know each other, an irresistible attraction grows between them. But the two are completely incompatible—and besides, Solange is taking an out-of-state job in a few months. This fling can't lead anywhere…can it?

This is a funny, over-the-top rom com with well-developed characters and an entertaining yet emotional plot. I was immersed in the story from the beginning, and the fun never stops. Family plays an important role, and I loved the descriptions of Brazilian food. I'm looking forward to more from this author!

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Three words. I LOVED IT! Friends this book. This book was incredibly entertaining and sweet and sexy! I loved just about everything. *THE* Magic Mike performance left this woman seeking immediate medical attention and that *PARTY* ... left me SHOOKETH 😂

I was immediately enamored in the story and its characters. Dean and Solange are incredible! They have very different lifestyles and goals, but what made them irresistible was how hard they tried not to fall for each other and the friendship that was growing between them. Oh the sweetness. My heart must have melted into a puddle of goo! This is seriously warm and buttery, like biting into one of Tia's bomb diggity salgadinhos. Only the good stuff is here: wit, charm, swoon, and steam. Nom nom nom. It warmed my hopeless romantic heart to the core!

I really enjoyed The Worst Best Man and had been looking forward to the next in this standalone series. Much like the previous book, there were some incredibly fun storylines (including a wild way for our two main characters to initially meet), great banter, and touching moments.

There were a couple of things I didn't love, such as always unnecessarily referring to a few characters by first and last name and the story dragged at a few points. But ultimately, this is a really fun rom-com, and I dare you to make it through the whole book without getting incredibly hungry.

Thank You, Net Galley, for the ARC of the Wedding Crasher.
The wedding crasher is about Dean, who will marry Ella for his career plans, but Solange crashes the wedding. And that's where their story began, from wedding crashing to Fake Dating to learning to Love.

This novel is a cute fake dating trope. I love Solange's character. She is a ray of sunshine and an honest woman. Making big decisions is hard, and I love how she handles the situation. On the other side, Dean is a Goal-oriented person and makes plans ahead. The main characters have cute chemistry.

I love the supporting characters, especially the Tia's. Go, Single Mothers.

Overall the wedding crasher is an easy/light read rom-com, Definitely would recommend this author.

#TheWeddingCrasher:

It took me forever to finally pick up Worst Best Man, and it was one I kicked myself for not picking up sooner. Santa’s Eager Little Helper was EVERYTHING to me in Amor, Actually. So you know I would have done pretty much anything to get my hands on an ARC for The Wedding Crasher. Thankfully the amazing folks at @acon only wanted me to send an email. Am I hyping this book up? Yes. Is it worth it? Also, Yes. That’s the review. Just.. yes. The long version? I adored Solange and Dean and I’m so glad we got to see the tias again. Between a sex party, contraction simulation, axe throwing, and When Harry Met Sally, you can’t go wrong.

I loved that we got to see the same players in book 1 more than we usually do when someone gets their own book. But, it wasn’t too much that you can still read this as a stand-alone. I loved Solange in the spotlight because her heart is immeasurable. I adored Dean because his life mapped out and it doesn’t go how he wants it to. (Same Dean, same) I was giggling at their connection in the best way. The steam was too notch.

I adored them so much together that I wanted to throw my book at their heads and tell them to see what was in front of them. 😂 I love a good fake date, but I was frustrated because the chemistry was off the charts (and off the pages?) that I just wanted them to hurry up and seal the deal! Be honest and let it happen. But, I understand their reservations because of their past and I am over it.. now.

Mia Sosa is another autobuy author, especially when it comes to romance. She brings the sass, the sarcasm, and the steam. I will always read anything she writes, and I’m so thankful for @avon for the gifted copy of The Wedding Crasher. This is out 4/5, and please go read it and fall in love with these folks like I did.

Solange reluctantly agrees to help her wedding planner cousin with bridal party makeup and regrets it from the start. But what makes it worse is that she overhears the bride-to-be confess her love to a man who isn’t the groom. Even though her cousin threatens her to remain silent, Solange speaks up at the ceremony.

Dean is marrying Ella for mutual convenience. He doesn’t love her, she doesn’t love him, but they make good partners and their marriage will afford them the opportunity to become a power couple. While the end of his relationship doesn’t break his heart, it does threaten his promotion at work, so he calls in a favor and asks Solange to be his fake girlfriend.

Set in the same world as Sosa’s The Worst Best Man, The Wedding Crasher has all the elements of an ideal rom-com: wedding mishaps, fake relationships, awkward moments, and interfering friends. Best of all, it is the story of two strangers becoming friends and then becoming more.

Dean and Solange are perfect for one another. Both were shaped by their parents’ failed relationships, which color how each views life and love. So even though they are attracted to one another and click, each is afraid to ask for more. But, then Dean starts to question his plan because he starts to see joy through Solange. He realizes that he has choices and deserves to be happy. Meanwhile, Dean helps Solange learn to trust in others.

The Wedding Crasher is a delightful romance. Although there was one plot twist I thought was a bit ridiculous, I enjoyed watching Dean and Solange grow as individuals and as a couple, realizing best laid plans aren’t always the best; making wrong decisions won’t destroy your life; and the journey can be scary, but worth the ride. There are very sexy times, and a passion that is palatable. Overall, I enjoyed it immensely.

Rating: 3.75

The Wedding Crasher was an enjoyable and easy read. It is dual POVs and has a slow burn romance, the fake dating and the one bed trope, which I loved.

I definitely liked this book a lot more than The Worst Best Man, which I would recommend reading first as it provides more context and backstory on certain crossover characters.

The plot was a bit slow-paced, especially during the last 40% of the story. There were moments that unfortunately just fell a bit flat and forced at times. But I will say that it was still fairly entertaining with some cheesy and laugh out loud moments.

The main characters, Solange Perreira and Dean Chapman were great. Their dynamic, chemistry, and development was just so amusing and well written. There’s also some really good spice as well. The only issue I had with their romance was that at times it felt more of a subplot.

All the side characters were amazing and I just loved the representation of Brazilian culture. The ending and epilogue were perfect and I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.

Overall, just a good and lighthearted rom-com.

This book was so enjoyable! I loved the first book and i am so excited for this book to be released to the world. Mia Sosa writes incredible characters and stories that i find myself reading them way too quickly! I always finish them too fast and get sad when i am done.

4.5 ⭐️

First off, thank you to Mia Sosa, NetGalley, and Avon and Harper Voyager for the eARC.

This book was just so charming. Every character (besides Peter, of course) was likable and surprising and fully developed over the course of the story. Was this book predictable? Yes, in many ways. But it also did not take itself seriously and makes fun of the fake dating trope which is one of my favorite tropes in and of itself. I found this book to be positively entertaining and it’s a bit 🔥🌶 as well, if that’s what you’re looking for.

Pub date is 4/5/22, so go out and support this great little book!

Mia Sosa does it again! The Wedding Crasher is fun, hilarious, steamy, and sweet. This follow up to The Worst Best Man centers on Solange and Dean as they navigate all the challenges of a fake dating relationship. Solange and Dean have the best banter and I found myself laughing out loud while reading this book. Please read this book if you love flirty banter, strong family ties, fake romance, and serious hot scenes.

Pub Date: April 5th 2022

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: 5/5
🌶🌶🌶: 3/5

This has to be a top 5 of my favorite books this year i’ve read!!!! I kept seeing everyone post about it so when we were grifted it by @NetgalleyShelf to read before the public, i was so excited and eager to start!

Solange Pereria was helping her cousin at a wedding & happens to run into the bride of the wedding who was caught expressing her love to someone who was not the groom. Solange then finds herself doing something she never expected to do, Crashing a wedding.
Dean is a man who has everything mapped out for his future, He was getting married for the “ convenience” & to mark it off the list. After his Wedding was crashed, he learned he might not land a that huge promotion with his job that he’d been working his ass off for the last 8 years all because he doesn’t have a significant other. Dean decides to reach out to Solange and beg her to be his fake girlfriend to help him land this job, Solange feels bad after crashing his wedding so she says yes to the crazy request.

This story is a slow burning, fake dating and spicy book🌶 The two characters who were polar opposites find themselves falling in love with each other after faking their relationship even though it was the last thing they wanted to do.

This book turned me into A huge Mia Sosa fan!!! this is my first book that I’ve read from her & i can’t wait to read more!!

Mia Sosa takes the predictable fake dating romcom trope and surprises us throughout The Wedding Crasher. While romcoms tend to follow a formula, this breaks the mold and is (as she says herself) funny, flirty, and a little bit dirty. The group of women she has designed is just so badass and makes me wish I had a team of Tias on my side.

I especially love how Sosa mirrored elements of TWBM in this sequel, making the tie with theme as well as family. Well done.

Thank you to @netgalley & the publisher for the e-arc of The Wedding Crasher by @miasosaromance (your writing is amazing and i will forever read anything you write 😍)

I binged read The Worst Best Man (check out my review on that one) and The Wedding Crasher did not let me down. There was heat, passion and a lot of learning of boundaries. And can we talk about the tropes? I mean fake dating, forced proximity, and mutual pining I MEAN YALL amazing

I found this book to be more a coming of age rather than a romance and don’t get me wrong the romance is there and the kinky scenes are written beautifully but what got me was how both the characters are struggling with this next chapter in their lives and how the societal pressure is very much there regardless of race or gender. This was a book that i could see getting turned into a movie and my picks for dean is Ryan Reynolds & for Solange is Juliana Paes !!

I could write paragraphs about this book, but if you read this far reward yourself by reading it 😍 the wedding Crasher comes out April 5th!

This was really cute. Just lovely and wonderful, and one of the romcommiest romcoms I've read in a while. Right before the ceremony of a wedding where she's helping her cousins, Solange overhears the bride admit to being in love with a man...who is not the groom. So when nobody objects DURING the ceremony, she can't help herself. Dean was the actual groom of that wedding, and he was okay with his bride not being in love with him; that wasn't the point of their marriage. He was merely looking for a partner who was on the same page. When a big prospective associate looks to join Dean's law firm and he needs to hobnob with her and her partner, AND Solange's mom fibbed to some snooty cousins that Solange was getting serious with someone, they both need someone to fill the role of significant other. So Solange and Dean start fake dating, and we all know what happens from there.

For my personal tastes, this had a better combination of tropes than The Worst Best Man. Obviously fake dating is my favourite, and they even explicitly call it a "modern-day marriage of convenience," which is very meta and I loved it. The steamy scenes were definitely steamy, and there was a moment with a party that was not what they expected it to be, and that was VERY HOT, though never mentioned again after they left which felt weird to me...

The character development and growth for both Solange and Dean felt realistic, and the conflict was reasonable and not overly dramatic. I enjoyed getting to see Dean with a "checklist" of goals for his life in a f/m romance, which is typically a device used with female characters. We also got to see more of the tias in this book, and I just had a blast getting to feel like I was part of Solange's cozy, lovely family for a bit. Most importantly, the big gesture at the end, the shenanigans on the part of sidekicks to get there, and the symmetry of the end with the beginning really clinched how much it really felt like a romcom. Highly recommend.

4.5 stars! I started reading this and knew immediately that I was going to love it. The story pulls you in right away. I flew through it; it was sweet, genuinely funny, and so witty. I really enjoyed watching Dean and Solange’s connection and friendship build as they were fake dating, and loved watching the chemistry grow as they got closer. And the secondary characters added *so much* to this story! They created the best dynamic, it really wouldn't have been the same without them.

I would definitely recommend this to fans of:
- Fake dating
- LGBTQIA+ rep
- An American Brazilian heroine
- Witty banter
- Steam
- Dual POVs
- Well-developed secondary characters

I will be posting a review on my Instagram closer to the publication date. I look forward to reading more by Mia Sosa!

A breath of fresh air. Solange and Dean were fun, likable characters with great banter and enviable chemistry. I would have liked to see more of them individually (in every scene they are together--no solo ruminating); I missed the cousins in this one, but I was happy to see more of the tias! Many of the plot points were unique and surprising and even made me laugh out loud. Ultimately, the stakes were not high enough for my liking--the conflict was very loose--but it was nice not to get caught up in the will-they-or-won't-they and focus on the characters. And no one does steamy scenes like MIa Sosa!

Mia Sosa's writing is modern and light, descriptive without taking you out of the moment for even one second. Fans of Alexa Martin and Lyssa Kay Adams will find Sosa's works a natural fit.

I think I would have preferred this title on audio--The Worst Best Man was so great on audio!

Thank you to Avon for providing me with a review copy of this title. All opinions are my own.

The Wedding Crasher was a delightful story with a fake dating trope that was just fun. I enjoyed learning about the heroine’s Brazilian culture and her very large boisterous family.

While helping her wedding planner cousin, at a large wedding, Solange Pereira, finds the bride and a man who is not the groom, embracing in a stairwell. Knowing the bride does not love the groom, she interferes in the wedding, and the wedding falls apart when the bride eventually admits she loves another man. Feeling bad for the groom after destroying his wedding, Solange will do anything to make up for the mess she made of the wedding.

Dean Chapman has his life all planned out. Next on his list is to marry a suitable wife, who is equally ambitious as he is, and will help him make partner at his law firm. He needs a fiance to prove he is stable and thinks immediately of the woman who crashed his wedding. She owes him a favor after all!

I enjoyed The Wedding Crasher very much. The romance was great, but even better was the relationship Solange has with her mother, and her large, loud and boisterous Brazilian family. I enjoyed learning about their culture and their family traditions as much as I enjoyed the romance heating up between Solange and Dean. This is a romcom with some laughter and some emotional moments. The romance is a fake dating trope and opposites attract and it was executed very well.

If you enjoy a good romcom, then this book is for you. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
