Thank you to NetGalley for giving me an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book was fun! Dean was so sweet and I loved Solange’s personality. I really loved Kimberly and Nia too. I liked seeing that the family was in on the fake dating as well. This book had me laughing and smiling throughout! This was a great read!

Having loved The Worst Best Man I knew I wanted The Wedding Crasher right away and I was NOT disappointed! Right from the beginning, this book had me hooked. The meeting between Solange and Dean was perfect and I enjoyed how the theme was used again later. The use of fake dating mixed with friends to lovers was fantastic! Watching their friendship/ relationship develop was really fun. I appreciated that both showed growth in their beliefs about relationships and their relationships with their mothers. I was so glad to return to the world of this crazy, loving and supportive Brazilian family. I could read about this family all day. Loved this story and I know I'll be reading more Mia Sosa in the future.

Thank you NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for this #gifted copy.

*Thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for the e-ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Very cute, fun and light rom-com. I really liked Solange and Dean's personalities and they are great main characters, their interactions made my heart warm, it's amazing how they are so different but fit into each other's lives in a very natural way no matter how much they deny it. I also had fun with the secondary characters, Solange's family and friends are great and I felt represented since I also have a Brazilian heritage.

Overall a good read for those who like fake dating and want some good laughs and good chemistry between the main characters.

I ADORED this book! I am utter trash for a well-done fake dating romance, and this one is perfect.

When Solange overhears a stairwell confession, she can't help herself from crashing Dean's wedding. Little does she know that Dean had arranged himself a modern marriage of convenience to help him make partner at his law firm. To make up for ruining his plans, Dean pitches to Solange that they fake date for a few weeks to get through some events with the law firm. Solange agrees, but realizes right away that she and Dean are on separate paths with different goals in life - she's a helpless romantic and he's a goal-driven rule follower. It's just a few fake dates, right? What can go wrong?

First of all, I loved spending more time with this extended family. Solange is Lina's cousin and Dean is Max's best friend if you read The Worst Best Man. The tias and primas are in in full force in this book and it is so much fun to spend time with them. Solange and Dean have panty-scorching chemistry and the slow burn pays off in spades. I loved seeing both of them mature and develop, and I even enjoyed the conflict and resolution because of the hilarious tias and their meddling!

Content warnings include parental abandonment.

Thanks to Avon Books and NetGalley for the gifted copy! All opinions are my own.

This book was spicy, funny, and heart warming. Mia Sosa is amazing at creating an interesting and engaging cast of characters and story that draw the reader in and keep us hooked. Solange and Dean meet under the absolute worst of circumstances and yet that moment sparks so much more. From fake dating to real feelings and total life upheaval this book was enthralling! The tias certainly stole every scene they were in and added a layer of both humor and authenticity to the story.

I love that Mia Sosa wrote so many amazing women into this story from Solange and her cousins to her tias and mother who all raise each other up and take in strays at every turn. Dean is a buttoned lawyer with his entire life planned down to a marriage of convenience and Solange savors travel and adventure while also pursuing her passion and beginning to find her place int he world by experience and trial and error. When these two come together they make a perfect harmony that makes them both better.

The Wedding Crasher is a follow up to The Worst Best Man, but can be read as a standalone. I was excited to revisit this universe - I fell in love with the tias in The Worst Best Man, and it was great to see them again!

Solange and Dean couldn't be more different. She's a wanderer, moving often in pursuit of her dreams, trying different jobs on for size while she figures out her destiny. Dean is a planner, gunning for partner at his law firm, every step of his future already mapped out, right down to his marriage. When Solange accidentally stumbles upon Dean's fiance in a compromising position hours before the ceremony, she can't sit quietly by and let the wedding move ahead - so she crashes the ceremony!

Dean needs a girlfriend to convince the partners at his law firm that he's committed, with a stable home life. Solange needs a boyfriend to get her meddling family off her back. The two end up fake dating, but find their physical connection too powerful to resist, and fake dating turns into real chemistry - but they must also reconcile their fundamental differences in how they approach their lives and their futures.

I adored Solange - she's a powerhouse, smart, witty, passionate, with a deep connection to her family. It was frustrating that Dean wrote her off as almost flighty because of her pursuit of her dreams, as though her career and interests were somehow less valid than his own. To be honest, while I loved Solange, I really struggled with Dean's character. There's another character from his law firm who is portrayed as the very worst type of straight guy - pompous, cocky, rude, overly convinced of his own superiority - and Dean's meant to look like an angel in comparison, but I struggled to overlook Dean's flaws. Ultimately, that's why I could only give this book 3 stars - I loved Solange, but I didn't love Dean, and so their romance just didn't do it for me.

This book was was justvwhat I was expecting. Solange and Dean seemed to be made for each other from the start. This was evident by their obvious attraction to one another.
Wehn they do finally get-together it didn't feel rished at all. We get to meet some characters from the first book so thats great. I could do with the pop culture references. They are unnecessary. Some of the quotes the author used to seem.more relatable were also out of place. It was still a great book overall.

Oh man. Guys. This fell so flat for me.

I liked the first book in this series, didn’t love it. I had high hopes for this one but this fell very flat. The chemistry isn’t wasn’t there. It wasn’t believable. It was such a slow burn, with very random and unnecessary comedic or zany moments that were so bizarre (looking at you electrode contractions and sex party moments). It just felt like she added in crazy things to up the ante and man it did NOT work for me.

I really wanted to like this book - the concept is really fun but something just didn’t click for me between Solange and Dean and I thought this was just okay.

Solange Pereira is Lina (from The Worst Best Man)’s cousin and ends up helping out at a wedding she’s planning when they’re shorthanded. But she never expects to overhear something crazy and be the catalyst for the bride and groom calling things off. Solange is a little lost and definitely seems like she’s running from being an adult for most of the book. She takes her mother’s hurt and disappointment extremely to heart and it has an effect on her entire life, even though she doesn’t think that’s the case.

Dean Chapman is Max (also from The Worst Best Man)’s best friend and a hotshot lawyer who’s up for a promotion to partner. He’s spent most of his life working from a checklist on how to be successful and after his wedding is called off, he doesn’t know what to do. I liked Dean’s character - he was focused and dedicated to his own success but also knew how to loosen up and let go when the situation dictated it. I felt really terrible for him when things started to fall apart. Sure, some of it was his idea, but he really ended up getting the short end of the stick.

Solange and Dean find themselves in a double fake dating ruse that was honestly destined to fail at some point. Their story really takes a while to get going and I wasn’t really very invested until the last 20% or so. They’re super steamy together and clearly have some intense chemistry, but their story was kind of lackluster to me. The conflicts felt really manufactured and some of the turns the story takes (especially at the end) are just crazy.

I wanted more from these two, but it just didn’t happen. If you’re into fake relationships and LOTS of pop culture references, you may be more interested in this one than I was this time.

4 stars. This book read like a cheesy in a good way romcom. This book knows it’s a homage to romcom movies which was refreshing. It was fast paced, engaging funny and honestly just an all around good time. I feel like there is more in this series coming and I am here for it. I was excited to read this after The Worst Best Man and I was not disappointed. I love big families and found families in stories and this had both. Highly recommend.

Mia Sosa is a GEM and I am so thankful for this book! We love a fake dating scenario, and Mia Sosa just knows how to do a romcom. I really, really enjoyed this one - nothing supremely unique or fantastic, but very heartwarming and fun.

Very cute, pretty steamy. I couldn't put it down! Totally got me out of a reading slump. But as is typical of romances, the lack of communication drove me insane.

Dean has his life perfectly plan out right down to the modern day marriage of convenience until someone stops his wedding. Solange overhears the bride to be in the stairwell with another man and feels it’s her duty as a romantic to stop the wedding from happening. She does but that then sets her in the sights of the groom to be and then becomes part of his plan to achieve a career goal. As Solange and Dean fake date, as a means to an end on both their parts, they begin to question their life choices and or lack of choices until they reach their limits.

Solange and Dean are the polar opposites yet they just work, despite how much they deny it. I like how each of them played to their strengths and eventually realized that by playing to their strengths they cover up their weaknesses and what they truly want. This is a quick and easy rom com read that makes you feel like you are watching a classic rom com movie especially with the pop culture references.

Thank you @netgalley, @avonbooks, and publishers for this eARC in exchange for my honest feedback.

Okay…imagine this. You’re about to have a marriage of convenience but then a gorgeous woman crashes your wedding. You end up fake dating the wedding crasher and you have to share a bed at times. But you’re also emotionally unavailable because of *past experiences*…will you learn to overcome your fears and fall in love? Okay, am I reading my favorite fanfic here?? Premise? Totally on point. Mia Sosa NAILED the tropey, over-the-top ridiculousness that we’ve come to love about romance!

I’m not sure why, but I had completely forgotten how much I enjoy Mia Sosa’s writing. It’s instantly enthralling and her characters are complex and likable. The Wedding Crasher is no exception. I read The Worst Best Man a couple years ago and really enjoyed Lina’s dynamic with her family, so I knew going into this one that was going to be a highlight for me, and it was. I absolutely adore this family and all of the tias and cousins. They feel so genuine and authentic and you can’t help but root for all of their antics!

I also really enjoyed both Dean and Lina as characters. Their chemistry just BOILS off the page. They build such a solid friendship foundation that when they start to take the next steps, it just feels like a natural progression and I LOVED that. The sex scenes were fantastic (and one scene in particular was 🥵)!

My only complaint is that the latter half lost steam a bit. I was entertained, but I found myself just wanting more from their relationship and from the final conflict/resolution.

Overall, extremely solid read. Cannot wait to read more in this universe!

When Solange overhears a bride expressing her love to someone who is not the groom, she tells herself to keep her mouth shut--but can't help objecting during the ceremony, setting off a string of chain reactions then end up with her fake-dating the former groom! But could a fake romance lead to something more real?

Fake Dating is one of the trickiest romance tropes to pull off, but this book manages to do it beautifully. There are many, many over-the-top, surprising--perhaps unbelievable--moments that make the implausible fake dating scenario fit right in. And though it requires a bit of suspension of disbelief, it's a joy to read from start to finish and is truly, truly a rom com through and through. There's no deficit of laughter in this one!

Thanks to Avon and TLC Book Tours for my ARC of this one! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

5 stars - 8/10

Mia Sosa is back with another fun and witty, romance read!

Summary: Dean had his life all mapped out. Get married, start a family, make partner at his firm. Sounds simple, right? That is until the cousin of his wedding planner, Solange, decides to crash his wedding when she finds out that the couple is not meant to be. Desperate to stay on track with his plan, Dean makes a deal with Solange: Fake date until he gets his promotion. While this may seem like a solid plan at the moment, nothing can prepare them for when they both start to catch feelings.

Thoughts: The Wedding Crasher is such a rollercoaster of events. We get to see characters we love to return, in addition to some new ones as well. Dean and Solange are such a fun pair to witness their banter and shameless flirting, While Dean is somewhat of a headstrong lawyer, focused on his goals, Solange brings out a side of him that needed to come out for him to realize that he was becoming something he really didn't want in the first place. The story was a bit slow in the middle, however, the beginning and end absolutely nailed it and brought me back in,

Falling in love with the woman who crashed your wedding seems unachievable, right? I guess it was different for Dean because if I was in his place, I would also fall in love with Solange.

If I had to use a meme to describe the book, it would be this one: "talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show-stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before". In conclusion, IM OBSESSED. The book brought me so much comfort that I spent an entire month reading it because I couldn't reach the end. It is my safety net? comfort blanket? safe space? You got the point.

When I first read The Worst Best Man, I fell in love with Mia Sosa's writing style and humor. I thought nothing would be as good as the first book, but I was wrong because Mia gave us a CRUSHING SEQUAL that left my jaw dropped on the floor. I think this is the best fake dating romance book I’ve ever read. Mia wrote this trope very well. Dean and Solange’s chemistry, dynamic, playfulness, banter, and heat ?? per-fect. I love how they went from strangers to friends to lovers. The transition between each stage had such a nice pace. Nothing was too fast or too slow.

I fell in love with Dean and Solange. They both have different views on love based on their personal experiences and pasts, but they end up working through it. With Solange playfulness and Dean’s well-grounded personality that was filled with delicious surprises, they brought out the best of each other. They were THAT couple, and the sexual tension? Oh boy, I was sweating and dying when they finally *wink* *wink* because I waited so long their heat was unbearable, but it was worth it.

What I really enjoyed were the family moments. They are so close, and that is so beautiful. I sometimes imagine myself sitting with the tias, eating delicious food and gossiping. I want to be a part of their family. Also, kudos to Tias for being so strong and setting a great example for the girls as single moms.I adore them.

This book had so many funny moments, very sweet scenes that make you blush and have butterflies in your stomach, and sizzling scenes that…. Well, you will know *smirking*. Let’s just say you are not prepared. Mia Sosa did not come to play. Honestly, one of the best rom coms I’ve read this year!

First off, Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Y’all… from the moment I met Dean in the first book, I knew I was going to loooove him. He was so funny and I just had such a good feeling about him. This book is now my all time second favorite book. I loved every interaction that Dean and Solange had throughout this book, their chemistry was just giving everything that need to be gave!

I love how Solange was not there to take any BS from any man. She was honest, lively, kind and just so lovable. Dean matched her so well with his kindness and serious but upbeat personality. I was hooked as soon as they met in the coffee shop. The smut was also giving what it was supposed to give👀 would have loved a little bit more of it but I’ll take what I can get. The smut was about a 2.5-3/5🌶 in spiciness and how often I happened. There are only about maybe 3 SEX SEX scenes, four counting the little incident in the stairwell👀 and they are towards the 60 something percent mark of the book and onwards.

Dean had me giggling and literally laughing out loud! Honestly their dynamic together had me laughing the hardest. This book was just so so funny. One thing I absolutely loved about this book was also how the Act 3 conflict that every romance novel has, was handled. It wasn’t just some crazy outburst misunderstanding, I completely understood why it was happening and it happened in such a nice soft way, that I was sad about it but content about it because I knew they’d be friends no matter what and always hold that love for each other even if they didn’t know it yet. I think this book was basically perfect. I HEAVILY RECOMMEND TO ALL PEOPLE.

As soon as I hit the 80% mark, I knew for sure I had to pre-order the signed copy with the goodies and I immediately rushed to do so. I’m gonna miss Dean and Solange so damn much. Thank you Mia Sosa, you’ve done it again and even better this time!

DNF. I *liked* Mia Sosa’s previous book, but I just find myself feeling really “meh” about this one. For one, can authors stop with the emotionally stunted men and the women who suddenly make them “feel” things? It’s getting old. I also didn’t feel the chemistry between them to make that premise believable. I also feel like there wasn’t enough stakes within the fake dating thing…like, I know what’s in it for him, but did I completely miss what’s in it for her?
