Great follow-up to The Worst Best Man! I enjoyed this one even more. Loved the way Max and Lina played into this story. All the *steam* was perfectly written. Mia Sosa is a must-read!

Thanks to NetGalley and Avon publishing for this ARC.
This book follows Dean and Solange. Solange crashes his wedding (he didn't love the girl and the girl didn't love him, so nbd). But then he gets caught up in a bid for partner at his law firm that rides on him showing a woman and her girlfriend a good time in DC and he insists he has a new girlfriend–Solange. Solange goes along with the scheme because she figures she owes him and then he pretends to be her boyfriend for her out of town family.
Obviously, their fake dating turns to real feelings really fast. Here's the thing, this book is fun but it's not GREAT. Their relationship and draw to each other doesn't make a lot of sense. It's an opposites attract kind of book, which is fine, but there is such a thing as TOO opposite. The biggest issue is that they really have very little in common AND they have opposite personalities. She doesn't want to fall in love because she's worried it will be a mistake and ruin her life, he doesn't want to fall in love because he doesn't want to be left behind and used.
He understands why she is hesitant, but honestly Solange kind of sucks. She refuses to understand why he has a hard time admitting his feelings for her even though he's quite clear (and so is his mother) about why he craves stability. Solange knows she isn't super stable and for most of the book she doesn't want to be and then she takes issue with Dean letting her go because she can't offer him stability. Her whole reaction is so over the top and kind of mean, she makes no attempt to really understand why he wants stability nor does she (until much later) make the adult decision to finally let herself be stable.
It's just a case of the misfits. But makes it hard to really love this book because you honestly don't really want them to be together.

I absolutely adored this romantic comedy. Solange and Dean were the “best friend with a bottle of wine on the couch in our pajamas” for me the last few weeks! Sosa wrote a romantic comedy with a sophisticated edge on fake-dating. Her supporting characters had depth and insight to offer without being cheesy or taking away from the actual romance of the story. What separates Mia from the rest is her ability in ‘pen-to-papering’ hilarity. I am not one who ever really laughs in romantic comedys although I do find myself smiling. The prose in this work had me actually laughing and the dialogue between the characters was well paced and didn’t drag. She also writes one HELL of a sex scene so if you’re looking for relatable love, witty banter, and a slow burn steam approach this is an easy must buy. Cheers on all of your success in this novel Mia. “Acknowledgements: you’re a relentless bitch” LMAO. Love that.

Even though this book takes on the tried and true fake dating trope... it managed to be so refreshing and fun!
Solange and Dean meet under the strangest of circumstances when she crashes his wedding... and convinces his bride to leave him for another man.
You would think that they would want nothing to do with each other after such an incident, but when Dean faces harsh scrutiny from his bosses in his efforts to become a partner at his law firm, he decides the best way to show that he is a committed man is to introduce his serious girlfriend... Solange.
Readers know what to expect from these characters, but the evolution from strangers to friends to lovers is smoother and more realistic than a lot of books featuring the same kind of plot.
The characters are hilarious, real, and well-written, guaranteeing a fun read for all!
Special thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing access to this book in exchange for my honest review.

🌶🌶🌶/5
I really enjoyed reading The Wedding Crasher. One thing I really love to see is a romance novel where the main conflict isn’t some kind of toxic relationship trait that anyone with sense can see it going to continue to be a problem, even after the main characters figure themselves out. Dean and Solange definitely have to work on themselves to realize what they want, but their communication is always very up front with what they are feeling in the moment, and that is refreshing.
As a DC resident, and a District local since 2017, I was enchanted to read a book rooted so firmly in the DMV. The fact that Mia Sosa lives in the area screams off the page with every DC hot spot and cross street. I didn’t know I was getting into a book about a DC lawyer when I started reading, so I was delighted to see little references to Georgetown Law, my own alma mater in Dean’s pro Bono work. (Although Dean’s life at his firm is not quite what I’m hoping for with my career.)
I also loved getting to know some of Solange’s family. I wish I could pay a visit to Rio de Wheaton!
All in all, I would definitely recommend The Wedding Crasher to anyone who reads romance. It has surprising moments, sweet moments, steamy moments, and heartstrings-tugging moments, and what more could you want?
Also, I think I kind of want to be Mia Sosa when I grow up—a Yale Law grad who worked in media law and now writes books? Basically my dream career path (even though my degree came from the bottom of the T14 instead of the top). 😉
Many thanks to NetGalley and Avon/Harper for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

first, thank you to Netgalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for this digital arc in exchange for an honest review
If you love fake dating, you’ll probably like this book. I am such a sucker for the fake dating trope and in this book it’s just done right.
This book was so cute. Solange and Dean throughout this whole book are just to die for honestly and just another reason I’m going to die all alone. The plot of this book and the writing is good and kept me interested, though some parts felt like they were pointless and didn’t necessarily need to be in this book, which is what made this book a 4 star. The ending was perfect honestly and you’re really in for a treat with it.
overall I love Dean and Solange even though there were moments where I wanted to shake them and be like snap out of it. you’re blind, open your eyes you two. But overall so cute and really enjoyed this book.

After Solange crashes Dean’s wedding, she finds herself agreeing to a fake dating scheme to help him get a promotion.
I loved this books and the characters Sosa created. Dean and Solange are so relatable as their childhoods growing up with single mom’s now influence their perceptions of love and relationships. They had great chemistry and I appreciated that their relationship was built on a friendship and not just lust.
The story had me smiling and laughing throughout, and I loved the theme of relying on your village to get you through the ups and downs of life. Pick this up if you want a quick read that will have you smiling from cover to cover.
Thank you NetGalley and Avon Books for my copy in exchange for an honest review.

I was so excited to get an e-arc of The Wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa. The cover and description looked so promising and I’m happy to report that the book did not disappoint! This was such an easy, cute romcom read with more than a dash of SPICE (for those who have read it –IYKYK).
While helping out at a wedding, Solange overhears the bride in a compromising conversation with someone who is NOT the groom. When it “speak now or forever hold your peace” comes around, Solange protests leading to an abandoned wedding and Dean, the groom, suddenly finding himself single. With his life plans derailed, Dean approaches Solange with a fake dating proposition to help his career. Solange agrees and the two loose acquaintances with seemingly nothing in common, embark on their fake relationship and learn so much about themselves and each other along the way.
If you’ve read my other reviews, you know I’m a sucker for a good fake dating trope. This book provided that along with some slow-burn and opposites attract action. I loved seeing the individual growth of both the MCs as they figured out what they wanted from life both personally and professionally. Solange and Dean have great chemistry and banter from beginning to end.
I quickly realized while reading this book, that it must have taken place after a previous story involving some of the other characters. Turns out it comes after The Worst Best Man, so I will definitely be reading that one soon!
Thank you to Mia Sosa, NetGalley, and Avon and Harper for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

Overall, this was a fun and cute book with the always loved fake dating trope. I really loved both main characters and the supporting characters were wonderful too. Have to love those tias.
Buuut, it was a little all over the place at times and I felt like the plot could have been a little tighter at times. I found myself skimming sometimes and thinking some could have been cut.

This cute little romantic fake-dating novel caught my eye immediately and I had to give it a read.
It starts out from Solange Pereira's perspective. She is helping her cousin (a wedding planner) the morning of the wedding and overhears the bride talking to *gasp* another man. She then crashes into the groom, Dean Chapman (and also our hero), and can't help but stop the wedding in a big and traumatic opening scene.
Dean is looking for someone to fill out his "wife" spot so that he can attain his dreams of becoming partner at his law firm. And because his semi-arranged marriage just went up in flames at the altar, he needs a fake girlfriend to convince his boss that he's currently stable. He meets up with Solange (after already dropping her name - no way out now!) and she agrees to help, mainly because she feels guilty about ruining his wedding, but also because she thinks he's one of the most attractive people she's ever seen. The two then embark on a whole bunch of shenanigans (like seriously, some crazy things happen) and slowly start to catch feelings for each other.
I LOVED Solange's family. They're so warm and accepting of Dean towards the end and they literally jumped off the page. I also really liked Solange's best friend, Brandon. He was a little mysterious (and put Dean on his heels) but was ultimately quite loyal to her.
The pining was also there. This got me through about 3/4 of the novel before the over-the-top antics caught up. However, Dean really starts to catch the feels and WOW is that man attractive both inside and out. I wanted it to work out so badly for him. It was also great to watch Dean go from someone who doesn't even believe in love to someone who just wants it with Solange no matter what. And luckily, we get a very happy ending.
The premise is super cute. Unfortunately, the plot just didn't do a lot for me because this book was over the top ridiculous. I kept thinking that nothing stranger could happen to these characters and then bam: a weirder scene. For example, they end up at a sex club and watch orgies together. Dean does a Magic Mike strip-tease type dance. He's also forced to wear a contraption that shares a pregnant woman's pain (Solange's family calls!) the moment he meets her. To me, some of these things were just over the top cringy. And the characters were so great that I felt they could have fallen in love without these wild plot twists. I wanted to see more of them!
Overall, it's a cute read if you're willing to suspend just a tiny bit of disbelief and exist in the land of the romance novel. Both of the main characters are lovely people and are really a joy to read about!
*I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

What a delight! So much love to this adorable and fun romcom book.
After crashing a wedding (in her defense, she didn't know it was just a marriage of convenience), Solange finds herself agreeing to be Dean's fake girlfriend so he can persuade a lawyer to come work with his firm. What starts as a repayment for the mistake turns into genuine friendship which then turns into genuine love and affection.
Dean and Solange had such wonderful chemistry and, though a little fast, was realistic and wonderful. As both characters struggle to figure out what they want in their lives, both personally and professionally, they start to grow together despite being so different. I absolutely love fake dating but fake dating with opposites attract and there is only one bed? A masterpiece.
This book made me both laugh out loud and swoon over the romance. I has a blast reading this and was sad to leave Dean and Solange at the end but I know I left them together and happy.

How lucky am I to receive an ARC of another superbly written, addicting read from author Sosa! The thing I love about her writing is that you can guarantee you're going to love the banter between characters. The tension between Dean and Solange is a slow-burn buildup, and when things finally work out, it's smoking hot.
I love Solange's family, their connection and closeness, their strength and perseverance. This is a family and a group of characters to cheer for. I laughed so much reading this because Sosa is always on in her dialog. The Wedding Crasher is such a super fun, swoony read. Thank you, Avon and Harper Voyager, for sending this along!

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this book.
My my my this book really blew my mind. I was expecting another cute, cozy rom-com - and it is - but The Wedding Crasher excited my expectations by a landslide.
I had a really good time with it. Even in the plot points I knew were going to make an appearance, (in most romance novels they do anyway) Mia Sosa come in with all her might and swiped off my feet.
I'm not Brazilian, but as a child of immigrants with a big family I felt strongly connected with Solange. On the other hand, Dean could not stop making me giggle or blush.
Well deserved ☆☆☆☆☆ MS just made it to my top 10 favorite authors!

I was super excited to get this one and loved the cover and plot.
I lost interest in it when I started reading it.
I think it was due to not being the right time to read it yet. Also I had trouble connecting to the romance plot developing early on.
I may give it a try again later on when it comes out though for now it's just a two star due to not finishing early on.
Thank you Netgalley and publishers for the chance!

This was an okay read for me. The writing was good and the story moved along at a good pace. The characters and the chemistry between them however felt a bit flat. Solange and Dean were interesting enough but I was not as engaged as I hoped I would be with their love story. Overall a quick, easy read, with some funny moments.

This book started off so strong for me - I liked both the MCs, thought their characters individually were well-developed, their banter was great and the premise was so promising. But somewhere around the 40-50% mark, things really just fell off the rails. I am all for being able to suspend disbelief in return for a great story, but some of the plot points were just waaaaay out there, and for seemingly no reason other than to just shock the reader. I also felt that the witty banter in the beginning became quite stilted in the second half of the book. And I love a good fake dating trope as much as the next bookstagrammer, but this book took it too far. A really, really promising story, but was not well-executed, imo.

Opposites attract in this romantic comedy set in DC where adventurous teacher, Solange, crashes the wedding of straight-laced lawyer, Dean. The two end up in a fake-dating situation and shenanigans ensue. I liked both main characters but the supporting characters in the form of Solange's Brazilian family reminded me a lot of my own well-meaning but always interfering family. Although the book didn't give me the feels, it was still a fun and satisfying read.

This book was so cute! I loved the love stories, along with the friendships in this novel! I knew this book would be good, but boy was I pleasantly surprised!

Cute!!!!!!!! Absolutely loved it! I was hooked from the first few chapters itself!! It’s a unique plot, fake dating, that too the same person who’s wedding you crashed. Yep, this book will not let you down. READ IT!!.

The Wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa follows the story of Dean and Solange navigating their way through a fake relationship and their very real feelings for each other. At the beginning, it’s revealed that the two characters know of each other, but haven’t officially met.
Until Solange is invited to Deans wedding, and overhears something that could ruin the couples supposed “best day of their life”! While panicking about not achieving a work goal by the time he’s 30, Dean rushes into a fake relationship with Solange, so they can both fool the people in their lives to accomplish certain things. Even though it brings out completely different sides of them they didn’t know existed.

I loved this book so much!! The fact that they instantly clicked but things didn’t move so quickly was perfect for me. Not to mention Dean and Solange balance each other out so well plus i’m absolute sucker for fake dating tropes. As soon as I started reading this, I genuinely couldn’t put it down. It kept me so interested from start to finish! I would absolutely recommend this book to other people!! I also loved the representation in this book! 5/5 stars!!! please read it!
