The Wedding Crasher was hilarious, sexy, fake dating, only one-bed amazingness. From the very beginning, the book kept me turning pages anticipating what would happen next. Shenanigans? Family humor (or drama)? A heartfelt convo between the main characters? This book has a lot going on, and I am HERE FOR IT. Pick this one up for a steamy read full of chemistry, culture, laughs, and all the feels 😍

First off, I would like to thank NetGalley & Avon and Harper Voyager for the eARC of this book! It was such a light, cute, and funny book to end January with. The characters were all amazing, and only became more lovable as they were further developed. I am trash for the fake dating trope, especially when the characters are so different from each other. How could you not love Solange, who doesn’t have an exact plan for her life, and Dean, who feels that he is unable to function without sticking to his whole life plan. The two together? So much chemistry, even when they wanted to resist it. This was my first Mia Sosa read, but I look forward to reading more of her work in the future!

Ayy, this book was a sweet read that depicted a perfect "opposites attract" trope. Not going to lie, I was a bit skeptical in the beginning at how the couple was going to come together at the end when they really did seem like complete opposites, but I think the best part about Solange and Dean's story is that despite being different, they weren't total opposites where it mattered and that's essentially what made their relationship seem real.
Dean has always had a checklist and has completely abided by his life plan. Solange, on the other hand, is more of a free spirit and has never been able to set down roots. When Solange interrupts Dean's wedding because she overhears the bride-to-be confess her love to another man, it throws Dean off-kilter in terms of his checklist. Soon, he's soliciting Solange's help to fake date in order to impress a work colleague, and from there, the two learn more from each other than they have from anyone else in their life.
What I loved most about this book was the depiction of Brazilian culture that seemed so vibrant and beautiful in every way. Solange and her family are proud Brazilians and there is a lot to show for it in the story. I love that they speak Portuguese with no shame (and I LOVE that Mia Sosa didn't choose to add the translation to every single Portuguese line written in the story-IMO it makes it feel more authentic). The Tias in the story were my absolute favorites; they stole the show <3
Overall, this is a sweet, easy read that should be picked up if you're looking for an opposites attract, fake dating romance with the one-bed trope, awesome representation, and a lot of modern pop culture references :D

This was a super fun read from Mia Sosa! I loved that we stayed in the same world as The Worst Best Man, she created such a great group of characters that I'm really enjoying getting to dive deeper into their stories. Honestly the faux dating trope always gets me and Dean + Solange's polar opposite personalities made it that much more fun to follow. As with Sosa's previous book, I really enjoyed the authentic sprinkling of Brazilian culture we got (all those food descriptions made me hungry). I'd recommend this one if you're looking for a kickass heroine to root for.

Mia Sosa does it again!! I absolutely adore this series, it is fantastic to be back with the characters we fell in love with in 'The Worst Best Man'.
Solange and Dean have such natural chemistry despite being complete opposites. Solange is adventurous and outgoing to Deans type A, ducks in a row type. I appreciated that Solange did not break up a relationship rather dissolve a poor agreement between two career-driven adults. I do not care for a love triangle, however, Dean's previous relationship was a clean break.
In true Mia Sosa fashion the story was complete with humor, heart, steam, great twists and turns and a HEA that satisfies the reader to their core. This read was immaculate, I highly recommend it.

Solange just trying to help a family member whereupon she sees the bride getting her groove on with someone that isn't the groom-to-be. After stopping the wedding, Dean (the groom) needs a huge favor from Solange, be his fake girlfriend.
The premise was jus okay for me. It had funny points, the family dynamics with Solange's family is good. I love reading about diverse characters and their cultures.
This was just okay for me. Thank you to the publisher for the opportunity.

4/5 stars
This book was good it gave all the emotions it felt like you were inside the book with the characters cheering them on. I liked Solange and Dean because they had imperfections and they were not quirky and weird, they were real problems that were caused by each of their past and the characters were trying to overcome them and I loved seeing how they helped each other. In a lot of books, I only see their physical attraction but in this book, I could see that Solange and Dean actually cared for each other and how Dean stood up for Solange and would take a plane halfway across the U.S. without thinking if it was for Solange. I loved how Solange would help Dean in whatever way she could no matter what. Some parts of this book got a little boring but most of the time it had my interest, especially in the beginning.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶🌶🌶
I devoured this book! The spice and humor was fantastic. Solange is now one of my favorite female characters. She has such a fiery and fun personality. Dean compliments her so well in this book.
The Wedding Crasher was fun, spicy, and romantic. I cracked up laughing more times than I can count when reading this book. If you haven't pre-ordered this book already, you definitely need to!
Release Date: April 5, 2022
I would highly recommend reading The Worst Best Man first!

Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager publishing and NetGalley for the free advanced copy!
I wasn’t crazy about The Worst Best Man, but thought this plot sounded really cute so why not give it a chance.
I’m so happy I did, because right away I was so invested. I loved both Dean and Solange. Their chemistry and growing relationship was so sweet and natural.
And talk about interesting circumstances to meet.
I’m not sure I’ve read a book with a male lead like Dean. He was super sweet and nerdy which I liked. But he also had a lot of issues and reasons for treating relationships like business deals. He had a quite the character arc and Solange has everything to do with it.
Solange to me was more settled and working on her past issues. I felt like she understood why she was the way she was. And I honesty admired her for not wanting to settle for less than she deserved.
I liked having the cameos from people we met in WBM. And the newer characters like Brandon and Kimberly.

I knew I'd most likely love this book because I loved the first in the series, but when I found out this was fake dating I was even more sure I would! I adored the storyline and all the characters. Dean and Solagne are perfect for each other, even though they couldn't be more different and they just worked together. I loved it and would definitely recommend. I also loved seeing Lina and Max again, as well as their entire family. Thank you to Netgalley, the author Mia Sosa and the publisher Avon for the ARC!

When Solange is roped into helping her cousin with one of her wedding planning jobs, she gets most than expected when walking in on the bride talking to another man. She doesn’t plan to, but ends up stopping the wedding. Now Dean is back to square one and he needs a relationship to prove to his firm he is serious about making partner. Luckily, he knows someone that owes him a favor after ruining his wedding.
Oh man did I love the Tias and the cousins in this book! I mean, I also loved Solange and Dean, but the family was just amazing. I always love a good fake dating story, and this one was no exception! That said, both Dean and Solange could have used some good old fascinated therapy to deal with their issues! Either way, this was a fun story that kept me reading, and overall I really enjoyed it!

This book was TOO. CUTE. And such a promising follow up to The Worst Best Man (like if you loved TWBM, you’ll love this one even more).
Our male lead, Dean, is about to marry Ella in a marriage of convenience sort of set up when Solange, there to assist the wedding planner, overhears Ella confessing her love to someone else. Because Solange is a queen, and ballsy AF lol, she stops the wedding mid-ceremony. In true romcom fashion, Dean and Solange pretend to date to help his career move along after the failed wedding.
I will never EVER say no to fake dating, but especially when the two leads don’t want to date anyone at all. Dean’s aversion to true love after his mom’s many failed relationships is so real. Solange’s hesitancy to invest in someone when she’s free spirited and fears being stuck is so real. (If Solange isn’t a Sagittarius, I don’t want to hear it 😂)
Besides the very true emotions in this book, it was also DAMN SEXY! There is one particular scene in this book I’ve never read in other romances that I will be REMEMBERING (IYKYK 👀).
My favorite thing about The Worst Best Man was the continuous request for consent throughout the sexier scenes and The Wedding Crasher continued to deliver. (If anyone tells you that asking for consent at each step isn’t sexy, I will BUY them Mia Sosa’s books, y’all.)
My other favorite thing about this book: the celebration of single motherhood. The idea that families don’t all look one way and that a lot of times our families are those we find and foster for ourselves.
I can’t say enough great things about this book! It’s a must-read for romance lovers.
And thank you to NetGalley, Avon Books, and Harper Voyager for the advanced copy!

I was really excited to read this after having loved The Worst Best Man. This book had some of my favourite tropes in it (fake dating, only one bed etc) and it was so much fun - and also steamy! Solange and Dean had great banter and chemistry with one another, and the crazy situations that they managed to find themselves in were hilarious (stopping a wedding, axe-throwing, labour simulation, accidental attendance at a sex party etc). Like with the first book, one of my favourite parts were all the scenes with Solange's extended family and how all the tias and cousins were such a great support system to her. I loved seeing Lina/Max again, and I'm hoping that Brandon gets his HEA next!
Thanks to Avon and Harper Voyager for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Wedding Crasher was the perfect companion piece to the Worst Best Man. Mia Sosa has an extraordinary talent for creating cozy romantic comedies that make me want to post up in some pjs and cuddle a soft blanket.
This novel has recurring characters from Worst Best Man, but readers won’t feel out of the loop if they have not read or forgotten the events of WBM. And don't worry because Max and Lina do have several cameos.
Dean and Solange are a romantic, fun, and sexy couple who bring out the best in each other. Their love story was a funny and sexy read. I would recommend this novel to rom-com, fake dating, and bed-sharing lovers.

I’ll take one nonfat soy latter with an extra shot, one pump of honey blend, and caramel drizzle please.
This book reminded me of The Spanish Love Deception- so I think fans of TSLD would love this. I love the fake dating tropes- and they both needed one other to fake for a relationship. He needs her for his job, she needs him for her family. Let me just back this up just a minute- Solange ruined Dean’s wedding. Like seriously. In the words of Taylor Swift:
“Don’t say yes, run away now
I'll meet you when you're out of the church at the back door.
Don’t wait, or say a single vow
You need to hear me out
And they said, "Speak now””
Oh and she SPOKE.
This was a cute book- such a fun and quick read. Definitely a build up romance- but man is it worth it. Oh and let me not forget DEAN oh my gosh my heart. I seriously love him. I read this book so fast- and I can’t wait to get my hands on the physical copy to have forever.

Huge thanks to @miasosaromance @harpervoyagerus @avonbooks and #netgalley for my #gifted copy. A group of #bookstagrammers and I are doing #Romanceathon2022 and this was a perfect book to highlight on my page this month. In the spirit of a marathon, I also read this funny, sweet, romcom in one sitting. If you take the best parts of The Proposal mash up with the movie The Wedding Date and add the LatinX spice of of fake dating from A Lot Like Adios you will get The Wedding Crasher. However there is so much more to this book than a typical romcom. I adored both Dean and Solange their banter cracked me up! It was interesting how the author took two characters that had been raised by single mothers, and showed how they became focused on just their careers with a narrow view of just the future and not living in the moment. It was an interesting dive into the psychology of loss of a father , and how both characters had a failure to launch with love. (see what I did: another movie reference) I loved the food and the aunts restaurant scenes with Solange's extended family. The characters love of community and Solange's choice of career really spoke to me as well. Mentoring students and encouraging them to graduate high school is a need in every school .I loved Dean's character and his pro bono work for the poor facing eviction, There aren't enough people fighting for housing rights and I found his choice so admirable. The book was cinematic in scope and diverse in characters #netflix this book would be great on screen!!! For those who look for steam? 🌶🌶🌶🌶 definitely hits all the right notes with Dean and Solange Chemistry was off the charts! Dean has entered my fave book boyfriend list..Sorry Joshua Templeton you have been booted down and Dean Chapman is number 3. Any man who jumps on a plane in the middle of the night to confess feelings to the woman he loves is a keeper. Bravo Mia ..I wish I could give you more stars than 5

Funny, flirty and a little dirty.
That’s what makes a romance novel stand out and Mia Sosa… *slow claps* you have outdone yourself with this one babe! It had that and so much more.
“The Wedding Crasher” triumphs over “The Worst Best Man” in every single way—Fake dating? Check. Friends to lovers? Check. One bed trope? Check. Steamy scenes that will get you all hot and bothered? Double check.
The chemistry between Solange and Dean was intense and the energy that they brought into this book was unfathomable. The flirty banter, side characters that helped bring the story together (side eyeing my man Brandon), maturity amongst them (leads) and the rest of the cast was refreshing to say the least. The main characters were strong and independent, and knew what they wanted.
We can't forget to mention the comedy too. The amount of times I laughed out loud was ridiculous. From Solange and Dean's witty comebacks and the crazy dynamics that come along with families (and friends that are pretty much like family)—if you're looking for something to lift up your spirits, look no further! "The Wedding Crasher" is one of the best romantic comedies of 2022!

This was such a sweet RomCom about falling in love, growing up, family, and a good amount of food. I loved every minute of this book. Mia Sosa does this genre a true service. Sometimes these reads have some pretty cringey moments but this one successfully gives you all the romance, all the feels, all the love and laughs and none of the "yikes" moments I've seen in other books.
It seemed like the author was intentional about making this a book that navigated multiple topics that can very easily and quickly make the story messy but minus the mess. This mentioned class, race, single parents, love, friendship, work and all of it just somehow fit. Basically, many topics broached but none felt forced.
If you like romance but especially RomCom then this is for you. I laughed out loud so frequently people were looking at me. And I even had a few "omg that's so sweet" moments that made me want to turn on a chick flick marathon a la Dean.
Overall: read it.
Fav quote:
"Sometimes the detour becomes the destination."

This book is such a delight! I love Mia Sosa, and The Wedding Crasher did not disappoint! Fake dating, DEAN, all of it - love! Bright, funny, sweet, and sexy, this is a must-read romance.

This book was precious! give me a fake-dating book and I am ALL IN !! I loved the dynamic between Solange and Dean, and all of their friends! the banter, humor, and tropes were all there. could not recommend more!! READ THIS BOOK!!
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher & Mia Sosa for kindly sharing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
