The Wedding Crasher
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Wedding Crasher is the second book by Mia Sosa that I’ve read. And I love the depth she brings to her romcoms!
These characters worked through issues and were so introspective. The families that surrounded them brought so much joy to the book too. This one has some steam to it too!
Thanks to @netgalley for this ARC.

Thank you NetGalley and HarperCollins for an advanced copy!
I was so happy to read Dean's story! I loved him so much in the first book and knew he deserved his own happy ending. While I did like the Worst Best Man more, this one is definitely a close second. Solange and Dean are so perfect and I really enjoyed their story. they were both fleshed out so well and their relationship progressed perfectly.
Plus fake dating and only one bed are some of my favorite tropes! and let's not forget the tia's!! the family unit in these books are just so amazing.
I can't wait to read the next book Mia Sosa comes up with, she never disappoints.

Fake dating with a side of spice? Sound like something you might be interested in? If yes, then this ones for you! This is my first read from @miasosaromance and I would absolutely read another. This is a great light read about two opposites that are in need of a fake gf/bf for different reasons. As they get deeper into their fake relationship they both realize that there’s something brewing that is actually real. When they start to question their prior “life plans” they begin to wonder if they could actually make this relationship work in real life. You’re kept on the edge of your seat with the will they/won’t they and hoping that they realize that just like Paula Abdul said “Opposites Attract”. If you’ve got a beach trip in your future then put this at the top of to books to buy and pack. It’s the perfect beach read because it’s not too heavy and has a perfect level of spice without going overboard (IMO). The chemistry between Solange and Dean is HOT and the family and friend support network for both of them is hilariously funny. This one is out on 4/5/22 from @avonbooks and is definitely deserving of a spot on your TBR and Wishlist if it’s not been preordered.
Thanks to @netgalley @miasosaromance and @avonbooks for the chance to preview this ARC.

The Wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa can be read as a standalone, but it's so much more fun if you've read The Worst Best Man first. There are many characters from the first book in this book and it's wonderful to know their back story and get an update on them.
Solange wants someone to love her with their whole heart. Dean is not willing to give his heart away. So if course they end up fake dating. What could go wrong?
Solange and Dean have some wacky adventures: stopping a wedding, fake dating, fake sex, fake labor, a real newborn, axe throwing, boring lawyer dinners, a sex party, career day, the Tias, the Cousins, real mind-blowing sex, last minute plane rides, oh and one more thing, LOVE.
The families in this book make it whole. So much color, life, so many extras. They give you the full picture. The Wedding Crasher would not be as good of a story without the families!
I received an advance review copy for free from NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you so much to Net Galley, the publisher, and author for providing this book for my review. This is such a cute and funny rom-com. This is a delicious fake-dating trope told from alternating perspectives of the two main characters, Solange and Dean. Solange interrupts Dean’s “business” arranged wedding, so he convinces her to pretend to be his girlfriend to help with work. Of course, plenty of hilarious moments and feelings occur throughout the book making it such a wonderful light rom-com read. If you love fake-dating, you will love this book. Thank you again to Net Galley, the author, and publisher for providing this book for my review.

5 STARS
The Wedding Crasher narrates the story of Solange and Dean. Solange is Lina's cousin ,who is planning Dean's wedding . Dean's best friend and best man Max is married to Lina . While helping out her cousin, Solange finds the bride to be in a strange situation and plans to crash their wedding. Followed by a turn of events after that , Dean and Solange ends up fake dating. What a bloody coincidence!!!
When I tell you this book was Good , I mean it was BLOODY BRILLIANT , I had absolutely loved The Worst Best Man . I had been waiting for this book since forever. IS THE HYPE WORTH IT ??ABSOLUTELY. There was one thing about that book that I didn't love . It was PERFECTION . I can assure you THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST ROMANCES OF THIS YEAR . Solange was witty and funny and I loved her . Dean is a stuck-up, "I plan every single aspect of my life' kind of guy. I love how Mia Sosa brings the culture and family elements so smoothly in her books . The book reminded me of SPEAK NOW by Taylor Swift. It is so perfect for this book.
It was a funny read. The writing was *chef's kiss*. The sex party scene was so damn . Mia Sosa has always been an autobuy to me , after reading this book, I can only further solidify that fact.
I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND IT
OUT APRIL 5TH

I was super excited to hear Mia Sosa was giving Dean a book after reading The Worst Best Man. I love his quiet vibe and what a good friend he was to Max in that book. The fact that his romance was with one of Lina's cousins, Solange, made me want to read The Wedding Crasher even more. I knew their story would be special. I was right. I absolutely adored it.
Dean was a buttoned up, plan for everything type of guy. He had no time for romance. Solange was a fly by the seat of her pants type of gal who wasn't exactly throwing her heart around either. Both grew up in single mother households that shaped their views on love and marriage. Neither of them planned on love or marriage, so a little fake dating wasn't going to cause any problems. Or it wasn't until Dean and Solange fit perfectly into each other's lives.
I loved everything about The Wedding Crasher. The opening wedding scene pulled me into the story quickly. The crazy situations Dean and Solange found themselves in as they faked a relationship propelled the story forward in the best way. The more they got to know and like each other, the more I swooned over them as a fake and soon to be real couple. Their chemistry was off the charts -- like The Worst Best Men times 10, so be prepared. (The illustrated cover might trick some.) I absolutely adored Dean and Solange together. I could have read another 100 pages about their relationship.
What made this book even better was the cast of characters helping Dean and Solange along. Dean had Max supporting him. He also had some work people who added to the fun of things. Solange had Lina and the rest of her family. The tias and cousins shined just as bright, if not brighter than, the first book. I loved their involvement.
If you can't tell from all of this blubbering, I adored The Wedding Crasher. The Worst Best Men might have introduced me to Mia Sosa's writing and had me curious about her other books, but The Wedding Crasher cemented her as a new to me favorite author of 2022. I can't wait to read more of her books.

Solange and Dean are strangers to each other when Solange arrives to help out at Dean's wedding. Everything is going well until Solange overhears the Bridge confessing her love, but not to Dean. She tries to hold it in, but watching Dean give away his life to a woman who doesn't love him is too much for her, and she has to stop the wedding. However, Dean doesn't seem that upset about it overall. Turns out, this wedding was one of convenience, a relationship that looked good on paper and would allow Dean the chance to check the boxes of marriage without the mess of love. Without a partner now, Dean is at a disadvantage at his law firm. He needs to do some serious shmoozing in order to make equity partner, and Solange could be just the person to get him through. They embark on a fake dating scheme that is bound to end in disaster.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book! Solange was hilarious and I loved the banter between her and Dean. It is a SLOW BURN, but also surprisingly includes a sex party? Truly hilarious some of the situations they get themselves into. Things did feel like they slowed down quite significantly towards the end of the book, with lots of hemming and hawing from both sides with some classic miscommunication / not feeling like they can share their feelings with each other so neither of them is happy. This is not my favorite trope and it felt more drawn out than usual. However, the grand gesture made up for it and I loved the happy ending!
I really enjoy how Sosa rights her characters and how she integrates Brazilian culture into her books. She's so much fun to read and I can't wait for her next book!
Thank you to Avon and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinions.

Thank you to Avon and NetGalley for this advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion. The Wedding Crasher will be released on April 5th, 2022.
Things I loved: I loved the DC setting. Such great family and single parent representation. I loved all the fake dating scenes. I really enjoyed Solange and Dean together, the dynamic and chemistry was well written. This was a meddling family that didn't take it too far. There were some great pop culture references. That accidental visit to a sex party was really well written...not expected but fantastic.
Things I didn't care for: There was a lot of missed opportunities for more context/history with these characters. The story jumped scenes at times making it feel really abrupt.

Dean Chapman and Solange Pereira decide to fake date after Solange stops his marriage of convenience. In the process of helping each other out by pretending to date they fall for each other. I love that Mia Sosa sets her novels in D.C. and they center around a Brazilian family with strong matriarchs. I did enjoy The Worst Best Man more than The Wedding Crasher. The motivation for the main characters actions did not always seem justifiable. The Wedding Crasher is a lot more raunchier than The Worst Best Man.

I very much enjoyed The Worst Best Man and this follow-up did not disappoint! It was steamy and fun and full of heart. Some of my favorite tropes were represented: fake dating and one bed, and it also had a fun dose of meddling family and friends which I always enjoy. If you're a fan of rom-coms, I highly recommend it!
Thank you NetGalley and Avon for the review copy of this book.

I’m not going to lie with y’all, Speak Now is one of my favorite Taylor Swift albums and I had an obsession with the song when it first came out imagining speaking up at a wedding. So when I say the description for Mia Sosa’s upcoming romance book, you better believe I said “say less!!!!” before hitting that request button.
I loved her other book, The Worst Best Man, and remember listening to it and laughing out loud when Charlie was a puppy during early summer quarantine in 2020. If you haven’t read it yet, please pick it up!! It’s such a great enemies-to-lovers, co-workers/forced proximity and there’s so many sprinklings of Lina and Max in this one!
I’m not going to spoiler anything, but please please message me when you finish this one because I absolutely loved the way this one ended!! It brought it all full circle and I shamelessly slid into Mia Sosa’s DM’s to gush to her how genius it was 🥰💓
I’m bummed this isn’t out now so y’all can read this for Valentines Day! So needless to say, you should defs pre-order or add this to your library hold list now so you can read it asap when it comes out April 5th, 2022!

Thank you @avon for the #gifted paper ARC and @netgalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review!

This book was cute. The relationships between the girls and the guys were built on nicely and had me rooting for the characters. I also love a good wedding story with all of the couplehood, food, and fashion. This book was a cover pic for me and I’m glad I picked it. I plan to read more of this authors novels in the future

Cute read that had me laughing out loud hard. Overall a quick and fun read but there were scenes I wasn't a fan off that felt going to far for me. She crashes his marriage of convenience and now he needs a girlfriend ASAP to improve his chances of partner at his law firm and to woo a lawyer to join the firm. She has a plan in place to fake date her roommate when her family comes in from Brazil but they end up fake dating for longer period of time.... Just read the book. I plan to read her next book as well.

******************I received an ARC for my honest opinion from NetGalley.*********************************

As a HUGE fan of The Worst Best Man by Mia Sosa, I couldn't have clicked "Request" fast enough on Netgalley for The Wedding Crasher. This was another top-tier, 5-star romance for me! It's as if all of my favorite tropes were represented in this one perfect little book - fake dating, one bed, mutual longing. It was the perfect mix of spicy and sweet and funny. The main characters developed such a strong bond and their chemistry and their personal growth was off the charts! I was hooked from page one. This is definitely one of my favorite books of 2022!

If you like stories about pretend relationships and families, this may be for you. The main characters meet when Dean is about to marry for convenience to fulfill his list of accomplishments leading to a promotion in his law firm. Solange is there as part of the wedding planning team and she overhears the bride and the man the bride really loves and decided to stop the sham wedding. This leads to Dean and Solange creating a pretend relationship with the usual pitfalls and humorous craziness including both of their families. Solange is Portuguese so there are lots of cultural references and food descriptions which are interesting. This is a fairly predictable story but is an entertaining read.

This is deal for those readers who enjoy fake dating trope and sassy heroines. Solange and Danny have amazingly witty banter throughout the book and I have to admit Solange is a hoot. Danny is someone who has his entire life planned out and cannot step out of his rigid plans but when Solange kind of ends up stopping his wedding at the altar, she inadvertently steps into her life and manages to turn it upside down.
With both facing circumstances leading them to fake dating, their chemistry is set on fire. And then it gets steamy with both falling for each other. Then there is a party that you will not be able to forget and the way Danny reacts to it is pretty sweet. But they both have different plans for their life so they are on crossroads about how to handle their romance. But thanks to meddling family/friends who make sure to manipulate situations, things end on a happy note for them!
Summary:
Fake Dating
Steamy stuff
Dual-POV
Books that make you grin

I did not like this book. I tried my hardest but found the characters lacking chemistry and didn’t mesh well with the style. The writing wasn’t exciting and felt like a carbon copy of every other rom com out there. I’m sure people will still like it - I was just hoping it would be different and less predictable.
I will not be posting on Goodreads out of respect for the author and publisher!

I really enjoyed Mia Sosa’s previous book, The Worst Best Man, despite a general aversion to books that center on weddings or wedding planning. This one, though it kicked off with an interrupted wedding, has much less to do with weddings, but the characters and plot didn’t appeal to me at all. It was almost like a parody of a romantic comedy. Even when there were plot points with potential (like when the two protagonists unwittingly end up at a sex party), nothing really happens, and I was left wondering why the story went there at all. The last 30% of the book dragged so much I found myself wishing for it to be over, especially when the ending was a forgone conclusion for so long.
