This was just okay. Some of the situations they got themselves into strained my disbelief a bit, but overall I liked the characters and their relationship.

Mía Sosa’s writing is fabulous! This book highlights how amazing she is at writing strong, witty, female protagonists. This book is a great follow up to Worst Best Man.

This book had me laughing at the antics of Solange. The banter between her and Dean was also funny, but also flirty! Overall a steamy, funny, rom-com read which will have readers wanting more from Mia.

THIS BOOK!

Okay so I absolutely raced through this in just a couple of days. Dean and Solange are ADORABLE. They are hilarious, clueless, beautiful people and I want a double date with them immediately.

If I'm being up front, I was a little concerned the first quarter of the book. It honestly felt a bit insta-lovey; Dean and Solange's attraction to each other is electric from the second they meet, and I was worried that pacing would be a problem. However, Mia Sosa does an excellent job stoking sexual tension while giving both characters very believable reasons to hold back romantically and emotionally. That balance paves the way for one of my favorite couple dynamics yet; their flirting is hilarious and goofy and sexy all at the same time. Also, Dean is a respectful KING. What an absolute unit.

For those of you who love steam -- this is a must-read. It's not really my personal thing, but I very much appreciated the use of adult words (seriously, if I read someone referring to a sex organ as "down there" or some other euphemism one more time, I might stop reading altogether), and I can tell that many, many romance readers will absolutely eat those scenes up.

Some of my favorite parts, though, were the relationships Dean and Solange had outside of each other. Solange's family is a beautiful window into Brazilian culture and family dynamics, and I adore their fierce love for each other. Dean's friendship with Max is both funny and endearing.

A few tropes and buzzwords to get you excited to pick this one up when it's published:
-Fake dating
-Mutual pining
-Clueless MCs
-"I'm intensely attracted to you but we don't make sense as a couple"

Also, at one point, a labor simulator is used. That's all I'm saying.

If you like romance, you absolutely have to pick this one up. Mark your calendar for 04/05/2022!

This is cute and well-written, it's also got one of my favorite romcom tropes of all time but this just didn't work for me. It's objectively very good and I would recommend it to ANYONE, but I hated how shallow the whole novel was. The characters are well-written, but not fleshed out as much as necessary for how character-driven the book is.

4.5 stars rounded up for this steamy sequel! I liked Worst Best Man, Max and Lina’s story, but I LOVED Dean and Solange.

Their chemistry throughout their fake relationship was so authentic, charming, and fun. The tias and the other characters in this book, Brandon, Kimberly, and Nia, were delightful as well.

This book made me smile, laugh, and cry — definitely plan on picking it up when it’s released next year!

Cute rom com about a fake relationship turned real! Main characters, Dean and Solange, meet at Dean’s wedding that wasn’t destined for success to begin with. Along comes Solange, who comes across a secret meeting between the bride and a male aka NOT THE GROOM. Solange interrupts the wedding, which is a good bit of drama, leading Dean to ask her why. From there, destiny continues to mesh them together with both people needed a fake partner for different reasons.

Highlights: I love the addition of Solange’s family and Brazilian culture. Consent is a theme throughout this novel without it being overwhelming. There were some odd parts in Dean and Solange’s relationship, such as them going to a sex party accidentally but never talking about it again. Dean’s obsession, in a good way, with Solange is precious.

UM HELLO!!!!!! this book was EVERYTHING! i had no idea there was a book before this and i will be running to go get it! sosa creates such witty and perfect chemistry between her characters that i couldn’t book this book down.

when solange stops dean’s wedding, she had no idea that she would end up fake dating him to help him get a promotion. right off the bat, dean and solange had that perfect rom com banter even though they were just fake dating. through a series of wild dates, the line between what’s real and fake starts to get blurred. switching between solange and dean’s POV, their feelings for each other start to get complicated..

a witty and charismatic slow burn romance, this should definitely be on every romance lovers list when it comes out. i loved the drive both dean and solange had and how they had their own personality and lives outside the relationship! for fans of jasmine guillory and emily henry, the wedding crashed is the next big book.

a special thanks to net galley and harper voyager for the early ARC of this book!

This was my first book from Ms. Sosa and I can guarantee it won't be my last. She handles a familiar romance trope--fake relationship-- with deft hands while also managing to make it feel fresh and new. I really enjoyed Dean and Solange's story. I hope Brandon gets his own book next.

I was so stoked for this one. And undoubtedly, it didn’t let me down. Wow!! This was such a delightful read. I was smiling like fool throughout my whole reading. The angst, the chemistry, the romance, the whole fake dating trope, one bed situation, sex positivity and wholesome and witty characters was everything I didn’t know I needed. Thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldn’t recommend enough.

- Also, thank you so much publisher for the arc, I very much appreciate it.

I finished The Wedding Crasher last night! I really liked it! Solange and Dean were so fun and so emotional to read. It was nice seeing bits of Lina and Max again as well! Excellent characters all around. Except Peter, like Andrew in the last book, he can eat a bag of dicks.
Fake dating always brings me joy but I really enjoyed how quickly they became friends and their banter. They both hit me right in the feels with their emotional issues about life and love. I won’t really say too much else because no one likes book spoilers!
My favorite parts: Axe 🪓 Throwing, The Party 🍑🍆🌮, Dean’s mom 🥺, and of course the Vegas part🎰💒!

Thanks to NetGalley & Avon for the advance copy of the ebook! The Wedding Crasher’s release date is 4/5/22! Read The Wost Best Man in the mean time and check it out once it’s released! I really liked both of these books and will 100% read whatever Mia Sosa writes in the future.

Rating: 4/5

Thank you NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for an ARC of this eBook in exchange for an honest review.

Oh. My. Dean. Yeah that's right... I just said that. I also just found myself a new book boyfriend!! Dean just got put in the top five. OH MY GOSH! He made me fall in love! I will definitely be adding this to my physical bookshelf when it comes out!

I gave it 4/5 stars just because there was some miscommunication going on which made me want to scream at the characters. Solange had my heart and she was really relatable! It was nice having a main character that wasn't perfect and the faults she had... I've experienced some of those myself.

Mia Sosa... You are amazing!!!!! Once again, you made me not want the story to end ever. Ugh, I already want to reread.

Mía Sosa’s writing is truly true phenomenal and this book highlights how amazing she is at writing strong, witty, female protagonists.

This book had a bit of everything. You will laugh from beginning to end. Solange is so funny and being back with her cousins and tias was so much fun! The banter between Dean and Solange was flirty, so funny, and a little bit dirty.

I mean y’all, Mia incorporates fake dating, sharing one bed, and a sex club all in one book. WHAT MORE CAN WE ASK FOR?!

The family themes in this book were some of my most favorite parts. I love strong female friendships and relationships and that’s exactly what we see in Solange’s family. The sprinkle of Portuguese throughout the book and the Brazilian food and customs mentioned were excellent. I also really loved how this book honored immigrant single mothers, their joy, strength and resiliency.

This book was everything y’all. Pre order asap!

“Unbothered by my flirtatious dig, he trails a finger across the scar above his eyebrow and gives me a lopsided grin. ‘Don’t let my meticulous appearance fool you. I’m never dull when it counts.’”

➖rating: 5/5 ⭐️’s

I told myself I would start posting arc reviews closer to their release dates, but this book was SO GOOD that I needed to start singing it’s praises immediately!

After Solange crashes Dean’s wedding, one thing leads to another, and now they have to fake date their way out of a lie.

They find themselves in some crazy situations along the way, but Solange & Dean so easily bring out the best in one another, and it was such a treat getting to see them navigate the chaos! They’re both so witty and charming and although they’re complete opposites, they fit SO perfectly together.

this wonderful book has:
➖fake dating
➖dual pov
➖sex positivity!!!
➖the one bed trope
➖electrifying chemistry ⚡️😮‍💨

This book is amazing and sweet. I have a weakness for fake dating stories and this one did not disappoint. I love Solange's family dynamic and I'm impressed with the depth the side characters got. All in all a very good and sweet read.

Fake dating is always a welcome trope and this is no exception, especially with that fun start! Solange interrupts a wedding ceremony and winds up fake-dating the once-groom. This book was charming and witty and the characters were well-rounded and lovable. You'll laugh out loud as your heartstrings get tugged on too! A few of the more intimate moments were too graphic for my taste, but I realize that that's all up to personal preference. I also struggled to get through the party scene about halfway through -- it felt a bit out of place and not vital to the plot. I do love Mia Sosa though and can't wait to read what she comes out with next!!

Many thanks to Mia Sosa, Avon, and NetGalley for this ARC.
