So I waited forever to read this one and I have no idea why!!! I loved it! I also immediately went back and read Sosa's other one in this series - The Worst Best Man. Loved it too!
After reading the first book in this series I was excited to dive into The Wedding Crasher. I really enjoy reading romcoms. Overall this was good story line. I liked the fake dating, fun family and entertaining characters.
I couldn’t give this book a higher rating because some parts of the book didn’t work. The sex scenes didn’t flow with the writing in other parts of the book and it was weird.
This was my first read by Mia Sosa and it did not disappoint! The book was paced very well and I enjoyed the sarcasm and slightly cheesy moments that made this story that much more charming. Solange and Dean had chemistry from the beginning and it was immediate, even in the most unusual circumstance. The tension build was really good and I was pleasantly surprised by the spice level...like really surprised. Beyond them fake dating we also see the growth within themselves and the importance of family and how it can unknowingly can dictate the decisions you make, in both good and bad ways. I really loved the focus of family and appreciated the presence of Brazilian culture. Shoutout to the Tias though, they definitely seem like a good time.
Thank you to Avon and Harper for this galley in exchance for my review.
From the first paragraph, I knew this book would be a good one. I immersed myself into the book from the first chapter and I cannot say enough good things about this book! Honestly amazing! The writing is incredible and the plot is just one to die for. I am absolutely obsessed with this book. My favorite part would have to be the character development throughout the book. Character development is something I look forward to and this book did not disappoint.
Such a great follow up to The Worst Best Man, even though having read that one I shouldn't have been surprised with the sudden spicy turn this one took. Great characters, fake dating that really does blow up in spectacular fashion, and finding themselves, plus we get to get back to the wonderful family of Solange and Lina (and the Brazilian American rep they bring). I'd love more books within this community.
I think it’s an okay book but I could just not get into it--mainly because Dean seems so unappealing. The whole reason around why he was getting married and his general approach to life gave me American Psycho vibes--it felt like this could easily work as a psychological thriller where Dean is a killer. He comes across like a calculating pod-person. A lot of the plot points (having to be married, 2 fake dating scenarios, the sex party) didn’t really work for me either--they just weren’t believable.
I adore Mia Sosa’s writing! The Wedding Crasher was just as good as The Worst Best Man! It was such a fun read and was super lighthearted!
The Wedding Crasher is full of banter, humor, spice, and a swoony romance. Solange is one of my favorite MCs, her inner monologues had me laughing out loud. When Solange over hears Dean's almost wife talking about being in love with someone else on his wedding day, she feels like she needs to say something. After his wedding day is cancelled, Dean enlists Solange to help him by being his fake girlfriend. And these two are full of chemistry!
I think that I had really high expectations after reading The Worst Best Man. I did enjoy this book, but definitely not as much as The Worst Best Man. It was also a little harder for me to connect to the characters, I think it took me at least half way through before I started to. All opinions are my own stated above.
I love how so many things happened in the book. I could not keep myself from the book because it was so good
4.5 Stars / 3.5 Steam Fans
I loved every moment of The Wedding Crasher!! Solange and Dean had this electric connection from the beginning of the story. They played off each other and made each other better as the story unfolded. I laughed out loud numerous times as I read, and it was just what I needed!

Mia Sosa is a wonderful author and this one definitely did not disappoint me! I will be reading everything Sosa writes!
In Mia Sosa’s hilarious and heartfelt rom-com The Wedding Crasher, Solange Pereira and Dean Chapman fake date each other after she crashes his wedding. Especially after their impulsive lies about their dating statuses require the ruse to help him get promoted and help her save face with her family. However, they unexpectedly find themselves experiencing genuine attraction, connection, and catching feelings that surface during their pretend relationship, leaving them uncertain about how to move forward.
Written in dual, first-person POV, The Wedding Crasher is a fun, surprising romance that kept me guessing from beginning to end. I loved that I didn’t know what to expect, and every time I thought I knew where things were going, Sosa would turn a different corner. While reading, I kept thinking: now this book is a rom-com. But Sosa’s story was a bit more emotionally intense and angsty than the average rom-com—that’s not a bad thing at all! Like the novel, her characters weren’t at all what I expected. And as much as they surprised each other, they also surprised me at every turn. There’s a scene involving a song by r&b singer Ginuwine that is amazing! It’s so well written and fun. I love all the scenes with Solange’s family so much. Sosa doesn’t waste any words or scenes. Each of them contributes to the development and evolution of the characters and the story. I love her writing style and her expressive use of language—her wit and flair with a turn of phrase are remarkable. Her description is vibrant with s superb worldbuilding, lively and colorful dialogue, and delightful story and characters, keeping you glued to the pages from the opening scene.
Solange Pereira is weeks away from leaving DC for her dream job. Her wedding planner cousin convinces her to help out with a wedding. Unfortunately, she inadvertently catches the bride with someone who isn’t the groom shortly before the wedding in a situation that makes her fear the marriage isn’t meant to be. A true romantic, she crashes the wedding to keep the unsuspecting groom from making the biggest mistake of his life. With his future all planned out, Dean Chapman’s on track to becoming a partner in his law firm and is close to starting a family until his marriage of convenience is dead on arrival. Dean panics after learning his promotion hinge on him landing an assignment that requires him to have a significant other and claims to be in a love match/relationship with Solange, who crashed his wedding. Feeling guilty about wrecking Dean’s wedding, Solange agrees to pretend to be his girlfriend. Pretending to be in love leads to genuine emotions neither can deny, but can a romantic who believes in true love and a man who refuses to believe that love—if it even exists—is even worth it fall in love and build a real and lasting relationship?
Sosa deftly develops fascinating, complex, and relatable characters through sexy, funny, sweet, and emotional interactions that further her thoughtful and creative story. The chemistry and connection Dean and Solange share are intense, drawing them to each other. However, their different personalities, approaches to life, and parental/childhood baggage don’t make it easy for them to traverse the path to romance. She’s a free-spirited romantic who deeply believes love exists and that it’s worth waiting for the right person who’s all in and honest with you. But, Dean, on the other hand, is a control freak with a negative view of love, relationships, and marriage—to him, love isn’t real and not worth the pain or risk.
Funny, original, very steamy, sexy, sweet, and slightly angsty, The Wedding Crasher is a captivating and thoroughly entertaining multicultural romance highly recommended for fake dating, interracial romance, and rom-com fans in the mood for something a little different!
Now, I have to finally read The Best Man and anything else Sosa writes!

I highly enjoyed this fun rom com book!
It was the first book I have read by this author and would buy more of her books in the future .
The character development was on point and I had a vested interest in their relationship .
Highly recommend this book!
Thank you NetGalley for Arc
After crashing Dean's wedding, Solange is drowning in guilt. What better could she do than fake date the man whose marriage she stopped just so that he can get a promotion?
As much as I wanted to love this book, I never really found myself attached to any of the characters. Their backstories being randomly thrown in with little to no relevancy fell flat for me and I just didn't really feel an urge to root for them either. Solange and Dean had chemistry for sure, but I wasn't fully convinced that they were meant to be together.
I did love a lot of the plot points. It was cute and definitely a lighthearted read that I can see a lot of people enjoying. Although some of the events came off as cringy (*cough cough* the When Harry Met Sally scene reenactment *cough*), it was completely salvaged by the really adorable ending. Even though I wasn't super into the story, I was grinning at the end.
I think my biggest issue was just never being able to get sucked in. Had I actually connected with the characters, I probably would've enjoyed this book a lot more than I did. However, the ending does give it some bonus points.
3.5 stars.
This book was decent. It had a fun plot but there was a lot of holes. Some things just didn’t need to be in the story. Overall I loved the main characters and thought the book was a fun time. The ending was my favorite part. So good!
I'm a sucker for fake dating, so it should come as no surprise that I really enjoyed The Wedding Crasher. After crashing Dean's wedding to his bride-of-convenience, Solange is presented with an unusual opportunity. Dean needs a girlfriend to help make partner at his law firm. There is so much fake dating in this book that it felt a tiny bit unrealistic, but let's be honest, when does a romcom ever feel like it's 100% true to life? So just sit back and enjoy!
This is a lighthearted but steamy romcom that will have you flipping the pages as fast as you can. Enjoy it at the beach with a margarita, or sitting at home in the AC - either way, you'll laugh and probably roll your eyes at some of the shenanigans the characters find themselves in (but not in a bad way). I can't wait for more from this author!

👰♀️🧑💼 Review: Can you imagine the story of how you met "the one" began with: "I met her when she interrupted my wedding". Yes, it's unnatural and definitely a story everyone would love to hear. Thats exactly how Solange and Deans love affair started and I have to say I fell in love with Ms. Mia Sosa's novel. From beginning to end it had the perfect amount of dirtiness, sexiness, spiciness, romance and laugh to yourself moments. The chemistry between Dean and solange was palpable and the sexual tension really built up chapter after chapter. It had me turning page by page waiting for it to hit the fan. To me it was the perfect rom-com and I enjoyed every minute of it. Especially the parts where Dean was vulnerable and super sweet towards Solange.
For all romantic comedy, fake dating, opposites attract, novel loving bookworms, this is your next read and most definitely should be added to your book collection. 🥰💗

This was a super cute companion novel to the first book. I loved the inclusion of brazilian culture and getting to see more people from the first book. These books are funny, romantic and swoony!
This romance novel just didn't resonate with me. While I feel bad about giving a low rating, I thought it was just okay. The plot is not unusual - fake dating for a purpose - but the characters didn't come to life or charm me. The entire time I was reading this, I was acutely aware that this is a piece of fiction - in other words, I was never lost in this book.
There are some steamy sex scenes and parts with cute dialogue, but this is not a book that I particularly enjoyed.
