Cute and VERY steamy but a few too many relationships of convenience/fake dating going on for me! The plot was all over the place.

I loved the worst best man, but this felt a little flat in comparison for me. It was still fun and hot, but dragged a little in the second half.

I still loved the family and the Brazilian culture, and both Dean and Solange were decent characters. A pretty good read

I loved how absolutely real these characters felt and how they drew me into the story. I would definitely stay that the plot devices are not that of your normal romcom or contemporary romance, and I love that the author has such a strong hold on their characters to make everything feel so real in this story. Overall a really solid read.

dean has a plan. a list of things he needs to accomplish to achieve the life he’s always envisioned. and in this plan, there’s no space for such inconvenience like love.

solange is done with superficial relationships. she wants the real deal, not someone who’ll bail whenever things get hard. from now on, she’ll only date men who are willing to fully give themselves to their relationship.

she wants love. he doesn’t believe in it. what a better pair to fake a relationship to help dean get a promotion?

mia sosa did it! the worst best man was a delightful read, and it made us start falling in love with dean. now, we’re obsessed! where do I find one irl? 😍

✨oh no! there’s only one bed!✨

Sometimes when I am told a book is a rom-com, I roll my eyes because not all of them end up being funny. This book? Got me cackling in my bed at 2 in the morning. My roommates must have been so confused.

This book was full of some of my favorite tropes, a swoony hero, amazing representation, mouthwatering description of food, hilarious family moments, and more 🤩

If you are looking for a new rom-com to pick up, chose this one!

Tropes:
😏 fake dating
👫🏽 friends with benefits
👩🏽‍❤️‍👨🏽 forced proximity
🗣 banter
😱🥵“oh no! there’s only one bed”
🇧🇷 Brazilian representation
🤣 rom-com
🏡 family shenanigans

Sometimes you just need an easy, yet engaging contemporary romance full of your favorite tropes, to get you through a reading slump or just to sit down and relax with. This is THAT BOOK 🤩

This book was so easy to read but it still gave us great conversations and character development. It packed a great punch in one book 🙌🏽🙌🏽

Solage and Dean were such an amazing couple. They had sizzling chemistry, great emotional depth, and amazing banter. I know how much we all love our banter 😏😏

The fake dating scenes got me so excited, they were so well written and delivering all the tension I needed from them!

I will say, I was a little irritated that the book did not give more history and context with the characters. I felt like it got a little hard to read at times because of that. There were some weird jumps in the story that caught me off guard too.

I am hearing the audiobook is really good so I know I will be picking that up. Plus, I haven’t read the first book. I loved Mia Sosa’s writing and the little mentions of past characters really made me want to go back and read the first book. So after enjoying this one, I think I will definitely be picking up that one as well 😍🙌🏽

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 stars | 🌶🌶 .5/ 5 steam

This is such an intelligent fun twist on a fake dating romance book. Here we have Solange who while helping her cousin plan a wedding takes it upon herself to crash the wedding and stop it because she feels like it’s wrong. Then you have the groom Dean who finds his marriage of convenience stopped and yet he still find himself needing a relationship in order to get a promotion. Dean and Solange decide to fake date and hilarity ensues. This is such a fun book with dynamic characters and although it is a slow burn, you feel satisfied at the end. If you were looking for a fun romance with sparkling dialogue and fantastic characters this is the book for you.

The Wedding Crasher
The Wedding Crasher is a hilarious, heartwarming story that is rom-com perfection. Solange Pereira is trying to mind her business, helping out her wedding planner cousin, when she inadvertently eavesdrops on an intimate conversation between the bride and… not the groom. Solange absolutely cannot “forever hold her peace” and decides to speak up during the ceremony.

The groom–Dean Chapman– is blindsided. It wasn’t that he wanted to actually marry the woman standing across from him at the altar, but it was all part of his extremely detailed five-year plan. Now, things are unraveling faster than he can hold on. He accidentally folds Solange into his new plan to get things back on track in his life. Solange, feeling guilty for starting the whole unraveling part, agrees to fake date Dean.

The more time they spend together, the faster they start to catch feelings. Oops! Solange and Dean were SO good together. I just loved their sizzling chemistry and how well they fit each other. It was wonderfully steamy (I can’t NOT think of the PARTY when I think of the book!) The side characters were so strong and added fantastic layers to the already phenomenal story. Thanks so much to Avon books and NetGalley for a digital review copy!

I sat down to give this book a try on a few situations but I just can’t get into it. I felt the writing was fun and creative, I just couldn’t fall in love with Solange or Dean.

I will be trying again, because I do think if I gave them more time I could, but for now I’m setting the book aside. I may try to set up a buddy read to push me past the ¼ mark.

I’m still giving this book three stars, but I will not be sharing a review outside of NetGalley unless I finish the book. I enjoyed the writing and I think it has potential, I just couldn’t get into our main characters fast enough. If I do finish it may bump up to a four star, but for now it’ll be in limbo.

I loved this story! High level of steam and very sex positive. Great follow up to her first novel (without being a sequel).

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read another fun romance from Mia Sosa.

This is my third book by this author and they all share the same light hearted plots, relatable characters and cute romances. I particularly enjoy the female leads Mia Sosa crafts. The plot of this book is a little bit far fetched but you could claim that for many rom com books so that didn’t reduce my overall enjoyment. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future!

I freaking loved this book so much even better than the first, which is saying a lot! I loved Solange and Dean. Their freaking chemistry was undeniable since the start. Their choices on love, jobs, families, and themselves were so relatable. I am so enchanted by this story and can't wait to read more from Mia Sosa.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Dean has officially made it to top tier book boyfriend level. He is kind, attentive, loving.... overall amazing. Also this book is HILARIOUS!!! I laughed so hard in it I'm pretty sure my neighbors heard!!! This book was amazing and overall was like a hug to the heart. I didn't ready The Worst Best Man but you can bet your booty I'm heading to Barnes and Noble right now to start it!

I adore books with fake dating tropes and this one didn’t disappoint. Solange is helping out her cousin who planning her first wedding as a wedding planner but stumbles upon a secret between the bride and a man that is not her fiancé. Once she interferes with the wedding, Dean Chapman, who is the groom is left at the altar without a bride in his marriage of convenience. When he approaches Solange for her help as his fake girlfriend, she decides to help him out. It was an amazing story and I adored it just as much as the first book in this series. I love all the tias and the beautiful family connection that the author has brought in this book. Thank you so much for showing loving and supportive families. It made my heart full reading about them and reminded me of all my aunts that are just as meddling and loving. I definitely recommend this book and even though it is the second book in the series, you could read it as a stand-alone.

I received this ARC from NetGalley and the publisher for an honest review*

“But I want it all. Every moment, whether it’s messy, tender, maddening, or sublime. I only want that with you.”

Solange and Dean meet when she crashes his wedding and tells the bride-to-be not to get married since she’s in love with someone else. This would’ve been heartbreaking for Dean except he views marriage as a convenience and doesn’t believe in love. They didn’t expect to see each other again when he reaches out to Solange so she can be his fake girlfriend in order for him to get a promotion at work. The chemistry is strong between them but they can’t be anything serious since Solange wants more and Dean can’t give it all to her.

The Wedding Crasher gave me that warm, fuzzy feeling (iykyk)! It was entertaining, hilarious, and overall enjoyable to read!

The relationship between Dean and Solange is an example of what good communication can do for a couple, even if it starts as fake. They were great together, and I absolutely loved their willingness to tell each other the truth...most of the time. Their chemistry was also off the charts. Mia Sosa made me burn. It was the slow kind of burn as Dean and Solange's attraction grew and the sexual tension about killed me. Despite being opposites about love--Solange believes in it while Dean is more hesitant--they were incredibly compatible. They're couple goals, especially when it comes to communication.

I enjoyed nearly everything about the book but was somewhat disappointed in the ending. I liked how Sosa was trying to tie things up, and it was entertaining; however, it felt rushed compared to the rest of the book. Because endings often leave a final lasting impression, it affected my overall love for the book. (3.5 stars rounded to 4 stars)

This is easily a five star read for me! Sosa’s writing style is fresh, fun, and steamy/sweet! It’s a fake dating trope with a quirky, hopeless romantic heroine named Solange who falls for the practical and sensible lawyer, Dean Chapman. Although the two couldn’t be more opposite, their chemistry is off the charts. Every interaction is entertaining and sexy and I’m a lot in love with Sosa’s writing style!

Solange Perreira breaks up a wedding and then ends up befriending and fake dating the former groom. Solange and her “fake boyfriend” must first pretend to date to win over a new employee at Dean’s firm. They continue the charade for Solange’s relatives, even going so far as to live together and share a bed. After awhile, the “fake dating” doesn’t feel so fake anymore.

I really loved this couple and the progression of their relationship. There are a lot of great laugh out loud moments between Solange and Dean, with added elements of culture, family importance, and self reflection. Sosa, in my opinion, did such a good job of creating well rounded characters that are relatable and hilarious. I really enjoyed Sosa’s characters and can’t wait to pick up another one of her books.

Solange Pereira is recruited to help her cousin who is planning her first wedding. The day of the wedding, Solange hears something that causes her to bring the wedding to a halt.

Dean Chapman has a checklist for his life and this wedding will bring him closer to meeting his personal goals and be on track to make partner. But then, Solange put an to his marriage of convenience and his chance to have the promotion. So, what does he do? Recruit the wedding crasher to be his pretend girlfriend! Solange agrees to play along but soon they both wonder if they are pretending or if that chemistry between them is for real.

Listen, this is my second Mia Sosa's book. I read the Worst Best Man and I thought it was decent. But then I decided to read another of her books because of the title and the premise and let me tell you, this book started off with a bang.

Mia Sosa had me laughing throughout this book. It was so engaging and I was caught up. I had to recommend to my sister to read. This is romantic comedy at its best. Both characters are likable, their situations understandable and I love Solange's family connection. It was such a good read.

Thank you, #Netgalley for this ARC.

As soon as I saw that this book included fake dating, I knew that I had to read it! Especially because I really loved The Worst Best Man.

The main characters were so cute and they got along almost immediately and I enjoyed them individually, but sometimes they felt just a tad bit inauthentic together throughout different parts of the book? Maybe I’ve just gotten too picky with my fake dating reads. However, I can comfortably give this book 3.5 stars.

[Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager, Avon, and NetGalley for my gifted e-ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions reflected are my own]

TL;DR
Mia Sosa D E L I V E R E D on the tropes and the spice in "The Wedding Crasher", and it's an absolute blast to read.

SYNOPSIS:
Solange Pereira is helping her wedding planner cousin and stumbles upon a private moment between a couple, that includes the bride and not her betrothed. As a die-hard romantic, she feels conflicted, but she also doesn't know these people. She takes matters of the heart seriously, and decides to intervene to save the groom.

Dean Chapman was finally about to check off one of the last steps in his life checklist, and start a family, even if it was just a marriage of convenience. Once Solange steps in and wreaks havoc on his wedding day, he is concerned he will no longer receive the promotion he is hoping for. Admidst a moment of panic, he claims to be in love with the woman who crashed his wedding. Uh-oh.

Enter: fake dating.

RATING:
4 stars, this is such a fun read. Note, it is technically the second in a series, of a same world, different relationship romance series, but it is not necessary to read the first book (Although I do recommend it).

Tropes on tropes on tropes, and I’m not complaining.

Once again, Mia has knocked it out of the park. Dean & Solange are a fake dating turned perfectly good.

I cannot speak enough about how this book absorbed all of my attention & I’ll never shut up about it. Also, the *spice* is just perfection. I love the chemistry for the characters, I love how detailed this book is too. I don’t like books that share too little. A perfect holiday weekend read.

Mia Sosa does it again! I absolutely loved Lina and Max's story in THE WORST BEST MAN, and Solange and Dean's story doesn't disappoint, made all the more special by the author's acknowledgments. She straight-up owns that this book was a bitch to write and that it was a labor of love for her fans. We are not disappointed, Mia!

So, when's the next book? We need more tias. We need more cheeky meet-cutes. We need more va-va-va-voom!
