Solange Pereira is recruited to help her cousin who is planning her first wedding. The day of the wedding, Solange hears something that causes her to bring the wedding to a halt.
Dean Chapman has a checklist for his life and this wedding will bring him closer to meeting his personal goals and be on track to make partner. But then, Solange put an to his marriage of convenience and his chance to have the promotion. So, what does he do? Recruit the wedding crasher to be his pretend girlfriend! Solange agrees to play along but soon they both wonder if they are pretending or if that chemistry between them is for real.
Listen, this is my second Mia Sosa's book. I read the Worst Best Man and I thought it was decent. But then I decided to read another of her books because of the title and the premise and let me tell you, this book started off with a bang.
Mia Sosa had me laughing throughout this book. It was so engaging and I was caught up. I had to recommend to my sister to read. This is romantic comedy at its best. Both characters are likable, their situations understandable and I love Solange's family connection. It was such a good read.
Thank you, #Netgalley for this ARC.

As soon as I saw that this book included fake dating, I knew that I had to read it! Especially because I really loved The Worst Best Man.
The main characters were so cute and they got along almost immediately and I enjoyed them individually, but sometimes they felt just a tad bit inauthentic together throughout different parts of the book? Maybe I’ve just gotten too picky with my fake dating reads. However, I can comfortably give this book 3.5 stars.

TL;DR
Mia Sosa D E L I V E R E D on the tropes and the spice in "The Wedding Crasher", and it's an absolute blast to read.
SYNOPSIS:
Solange Pereira is helping her wedding planner cousin and stumbles upon a private moment between a couple, that includes the bride and not her betrothed. As a die-hard romantic, she feels conflicted, but she also doesn't know these people. She takes matters of the heart seriously, and decides to intervene to save the groom.
Dean Chapman was finally about to check off one of the last steps in his life checklist, and start a family, even if it was just a marriage of convenience. Once Solange steps in and wreaks havoc on his wedding day, he is concerned he will no longer receive the promotion he is hoping for. Admidst a moment of panic, he claims to be in love with the woman who crashed his wedding. Uh-oh.
Enter: fake dating.
RATING:
4 stars, this is such a fun read. Note, it is technically the second in a series, of a same world, different relationship romance series, but it is not necessary to read the first book (Although I do recommend it).

Tropes on tropes on tropes, and I’m not complaining.
Once again, Mia has knocked it out of the park. Dean & Solange are a fake dating turned perfectly good.
I cannot speak enough about how this book absorbed all of my attention & I’ll never shut up about it. Also, the *spice* is just perfection. I love the chemistry for the characters, I love how detailed this book is too. I don’t like books that share too little. A perfect holiday weekend read.

Mia Sosa does it again! I absolutely loved Lina and Max's story in THE WORST BEST MAN, and Solange and Dean's story doesn't disappoint, made all the more special by the author's acknowledgments. She straight-up owns that this book was a bitch to write and that it was a labor of love for her fans. We are not disappointed, Mia!
So, when's the next book? We need more tias. We need more cheeky meet-cutes. We need more va-va-va-voom!

Rating: 4.5

OH MY GOSH, this book was such a gem! The characters literally had me cracking up from the beginning. I am a huge lover of fake dating and the author handled this one beautifully. I took longer than usual to read this one because I was getting so sad that it was ending. I’m keeping this review extremely short because I want you to experience this one for yourself. Go into it blind and I promise you will not be disappointed. The writing was well done, it had a great flow, and the romance will make you swoon.

A fun and light romance, this was exactly the type of book I needed to read right now. A feel good, love story that just hits the spot and leaves you smiling by the end.
In an incredibly disastrous day, our main character Solange witnesses something that makes her sure the couple at the wedding she is at, is not meant to be. And worse yet, she is actually there helping her cousin with the organization of the event! Not even a guest! And of course, she decides that the best course of action, after meeting the lovely groom, is to stop the wedding and save him from a terrible mistake. From there, the story progresses and our two lovebirds will find each other again and start the well-known fake relationship trope that will have you laughing out loud.
What I loved the most was the Brazilian dynamic of Solange Pereira’s family. It was incredible! I loved how warm and how real the family was, and it was the perfect complement to the whole fake relationship going on between our two main characters.
A fake relationship that slowly becomes more, this is your typical fake dating romance and it’s just what you need. It really is a well-developed story that leaves you smiling and with all the feels. It’s a quick and easy read, and you just devour it as you go.
Our main characters are stubborn, and they very slowly start realizing they are developing feelings. There is a slow burn romance in the background that is perfectly done. By the end, you cannot wait for them to do the deed and become a real couple.
I have to admit that my favorite was Solange. I loved her commitment to her family, her strength and her sassiness. I liked Dean, but I didn’t love him. And I’m usually a sucker for these type of characters, but he sometimes felt a bit flat. A character that I would have liked to see a bit of more soul searching from him since he was so set against any type of love commitment.
BUT, it was a great read that I fully recommend if you’re looking for a light, feel good romance read to dive right into!

I was enjoying the fake dating premise of this romcom, but I stopped reading once it got to the sex party. Too much for my taste.

Nothing special. A bit predictable. I wouldn't buy it for myself; definitely a library read!
3/5 stars.

YOU GUYS!! SOLANGE AND DEAN are ITT! like wow truly mindblown and its nice to see how Mia Sosa has done with her second book bc boy did she blow it out of the water. We have the fake dating trope, we have the one bed trope, we have the can we please just date for real conversation ahhhh. The tension was tensiony, the romance was romancey and the book gave what it was supposed to give and went above and beyond while Sosa gave the story!!

Mia Sosa is a rom com queen! This is a wonderful follow up to The Worst Best Man. It has a lot of the rom com tropes, like fake dating, but it’s also a fresh perspective.

Thank you NetGalley for this e arc in exchange for my honest opinions.
This is a cute book and the main character is bomb she's funny and strong and I was hear for her. Love a fake dating story. BUT was shocked during the party scene I wasn't expecting that Holy crap

Apparently what I need most of all from a romance novel these days is some next level flirtatious banter, and this book delivers in spades. I do love when the MCs just like each other, when they approach each other at first as people rather than potential romantic interests.
As much as I love a fake dating trope, the tension of a story built around lying always makes me uncomfortable. But this book did a great job with it--the risk of getting caught was not the main source of tension (though it was definitely there), and Dean and Solange were completely honest with each other and almost everyone in their lives. It may have been a fake dating story, but it wasn't about keeping secrets, which is great.
I think my biggest complaint is that things got a little schmaltzy around the time of the HEA (is it a spoiler to say a romance has a happy ending?), but that might just be my current mood and lack of patience for the squishy stuff. I much prefer the sass and puns and fun group dates.
(Also, there was a character who really needed more comeuppance than he got. It wasn't TOO painful, but don't hold your breath for full satisfaction on that score.)

I’ve seen this EVERYWHERE on Bookstagram and how loved it is. I can honestly say I get the hype. It’s fun, it’s spicy, it’s a good time. The strong female friendships are amazing to see and never get old.
This book incorporates my favorite trope of fake dating so safe to say I was hooked. This was so witty. I loved it so much.

It was fine. I liked the first 150 pages but then we got to the middle of the book and it feel so dragged out and flat. I was just bored out of my mind. I don't mind the couple, Solange and Dean were cute but not more. I don't love them and I'll probably forget about them in a few hours. Maybe I'm just done with romance as I have read so many recently and I'm tired of it. So maybe I'm the problem. Idk. Also the plots throughout the book... I didn't like any. I'm sorry. That's it, bye.

I was excited to read The Wedding Crasher after enjoying The Worst Best Man, and I think I enjoyed this book a little bit more! I really enjoyed the fake dating plot line, and Dean and Solange had a lot of fun banter. This book was also incredibly funny and genuinely made me laugh out loud on several occasions. As with The Worst Best Man, I really enjoyed the family dynamics and all of the side characters, and also enjoyed the inclusion of Brazilian culture. Overall, I really enjoyed his book!

I enjoyed this book so much more than The Worst Best Man! I loved all of the tropes included in this book- fake dating (x 2 in this case!!!), only one bed, (almost) marriage of convenience, etc etc etc. Fabulously done.
From the moment Solange ran into Dean in the hallway the sparks flew. I loved how they were both so practical when it came to their fake dating, too. But they ended up being amazing supports for each other, and Solange really helped Dean loosen up.
The chemistry, as I mentioned, was amazing. When they got tricked into attending a sex party?! Completely unexpected and super hot. I love that these two seem to have a bit of the opposites attract thing going on, but they really balance each other. And the fact that Solange is the person who finally makes Dean believe in the possibility of true love and an HEA? Beautiful!
I was really on the fence about Mia Sosa before, but this book makes me excited to see what she writes next.

Super cute and a fast read when I finally sat down to read it.
Would’ve been a 5 or 4.5 stars but there’s something about what Dean recited in his head that made me cringe.

DNF - Did not finish. I did not connect with the writing style or plot and will not be finishing this title. Thank you, NetGalley and Publisher for the early copy!

A fun, multi cultural read that kept me entertained from start to finish!
The beginning of this book hooked me immediately! Solange is a sassy, Brazilian woman who just happens to be helping her cousins with a wedding when she stumbles upon a juicy scandal! She can't possibly keep her mouth shut so calls out the bride-to-be in the middle of the I do's! The groom, Dean, whom Solange has never met, surprisingly isn't that upset about it, which Solange can't quite wrap her head around. Fast forward a few weeks, now Solange and Dean are helping each other out of a bind by fake dating, but man is their chemistry great! I knew it was a matter of time before those fireworks lit up the sky!
Solange and Dean's journey was fun and unexpected, I really enjoyed it! I laughed through much of the book, especially when the tia's got involved, it was just very relatable!!!
