Bad Blood, Book 6

The Carters have always run the streets of Liverpool, but no there's a new family in town who think it's time to challenge the system. And when threats are made, both loyalty and money is at stake. Of course, the Carters will seek revenge, but first Grace and her boys must find out who is responsible.

We are on book 6 and this series jut keeps getting better. Set in Liverpool, Grace and Michael Carter have a new rival gang trying to take over their patch. Grace is getting to know Luke Sullivan, the brother she never knew she had. The Carters have quite a few challenges to take on. Filled with characters you'll love and others you'll dislike. There's so many threads to this story. Most of them were tied up by the end, but a few were left dangling, hopefully to be tied up in the next book. The pace is fast rom the beginning in this thrilling and gripping read. This is one of the best gangland series that I've read. Fabulous read.

The Carter's are back and for Grace , Michael and the boys life is never short of trouble, whether they are causing it or on the other end of it.

Family life continues at a pace for them as new relationships are formed and a new family tries to move in to challenge them and all they stand for.

What a fabulous addition to the series. A Thoroughly enjoyable read and one I would highly recommend
Action packed, brilliant characterization and an unputdownable read.
LOVED IT !!!

Many thanks to Netgalley and One More Chapter for a copy for my honest review.

This is another very good read from Caz Finlay, a catch up with the Carter family from Liverpool. A new rival gang is challenging the family in this gritty thriller and Grace is under pressure from two brothers trying to take over. As always, it's fast paced, full of interesting characters and has multiple threads running through the story. It's a complex read which kept me interested until the last page. Another winner for the author in this brilliant series. My thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.

Another good book in this thrilling gangland series. I would suggest starting from the beginning as the family relationships are tricky to keep in your head if you haven’t read the previous books. Maybe an introduction to each character at the beginning would help, showing how the main characters are related?

We are back again in Liverpool with Grace and Michael Carte. Now hoping to take a step back and let the other members of the family take over. But there are up and coming criminal gangs and old rivals that they think that they have what it takes to take over the businesses. The Carter family must prove that they are cut above the rest.

Thank you Harper One more chapter for a copy of Part of the family. This is book 6 and it’s another fabulous read from the author. This is another fast-paced thriller showing us the lives of the Carter family and the problems they incur. This is a great page turner. 5 stars from me.

It is always a thrill to read anything by Caz Finlay, and none more so than this series about The Carter Family.
This is the 6th book of the series so if you love gangland this series is definitely a must!

This book sees Michael and Grace Carter and the boys still ruling Liverpool, but of course there is always someone lurking in the shadows to take them down. There are many on going story lines running, through this book but as well as the business side of things it is great to read how Luke and Stacey's relationship is blossoming , although it's a big secret, Danny, Stacey's brother and their vile Mum....and I mean VILE. John Brennan, Grace's right hand man, and his involvement with Leigh Moss ...a copper....and there is so much more. You get completely immersed in the family and their enemies. This series has everything. I will write no spoilers, but just to say I loved this book, it's a cracking read and I highly recommend it. Well done to a great author Caz Finlay, cannot wait till the next instalment.
Thank you to NetGalley for the privilege of reading this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Another thrilling read by Caz Finlay in book six in the series. Each book has got better and better I enjoyed this one the best so far getting to know a bit more of the characters background.
I must admit I got abit emotional in parts which shows how good the writing is.
Looking forward to seeing what's in store for everyone in the next installment, which I hope isn't to far away.
Thanks to Netgalley and Harper Collins UK One More Chapter for the ARC

Well!! Caz has done it again with this book. It smoothly runs on from the last & pulled me back into Grace & Michael's family, so much so that I feel like "Part of the Family "
I especially enjoyed the ending with the little teaser, or so I hope, for the next book.
The whole series is so enjoyable & the main characters, even though they are the biggest & most powerful firm in Liverpool, are lovable rogues. I'm really hoping for a number 7 in the series.

I struggled with my review / rating of this book, it was very easy to read and I really wanted to enjoy it but I found it lacking and a bit of a filler book. The characters seem very one dimensional, there’s only one that you really learn about. If I’d read the previous books then hopefully I’d have enjoyed it a lot more but it’s not made me want to read any others unfortunately.

Thank you to NetGalley for my advanced reading copy.

I didn’t realise this book was part of a series but it didn’t take away from my enjoyment of this book, This was a really good gangland crime thriller and I will certainly be going back to read the previous books,

Another great read from Caz Finlay and parts of the book had me thinking oh no , that can’t happen.. What I like best is while Caz doesn’t take away from what a criminal life entails, she hints at the violence and leaves it to the reader’s imagination as to how bloody and painful it is. From the ending I guess the series will hopefully continue but in a different direction with Grace and Michael being minor characters.

I was offered this book by the publishers having read and reviewed the last one.

I have to say, although this is a large criminal family who make their money from drugs and other misdemeanours, I do like them, especially Grace, she is a true matriarchal head of the family. Whilst they have to sort one or two matters out, there’s not too much gore and blood, Caz leaves it to the readers imagination.

This is all about loyalty and someone is trying to take the Carters down. The locals on the housing estate are terrified of this new family and are too frightened to say anything. Money is missing and this family thinks they can take what the carters have built up, but they really don’t know what they are up against. What follows is a brilliant read, and as they say revenge is a dish best eaten cold.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and as I said before, time permitting I’d love to read them all from the beginning, as I’ve only read two and would like more background on the family.

My thanks to the author and the publishers for the ARC.

Part of the Family by C. Finlay, published by HarperCollins UK/ One More Chapter, is book six in this series.
The story is set in Liverpool with Grace and Michael Carter heading their big, influential family.
There's a lot going on and when you're not acquainted with the previous books, it took me a minute to get the story.
Grace and Michael are perfection, I loved redaing every morsel of the two. Loved learning about the dynamic of the Carters and their friends, their turbulent lives.
This complex, stunning read gave me all the feels, had me in suspense from start til the last page.

The Carter's are back.
Book six in the bad blood series,
The Liverpool Gangland Thriller and it's a cracker.
This is one big challenge for Grace and Michael and the boys, with a new family who want to challenge the Carter Tick Tock Tick Tock They have a big fight on their hands.
Loyalty is for ever when you become part of the family and once again the author has pushed my buttons with another dynamic read, this family really do take some beaten in gangland crime that are one of my most favourite reads.
it's unputdownable, fast pace, inspirational and leaves you begging for more, taking you on another journey that is going to lead you to PAYBACK.
There is nothing more to be said from me that a contented Booklover can only leave 5*****s.
LOVED IT.

Another excellent thriller by Caz carrying on the story of the Carter family set in Liverpool. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it, but would suggest that a new reader gets the previous books about the Carter family as the saga continues. Can't wait for the next book.

How fabulous to start the New Year with a catch up with Grace, Michael and their extended family! Another five star instalment to the series and I eagerly await the next one.

This was started at about 6pm New Year’s Eve, and finished early hours of the morning. Has to be my favourite New Year ever, so thanks Caz!!
Grace and Michael are my favourite criminals ever!! Picking up the newest in the series feels like catching up with old friends, only much more fun! I’m quite sure I didn’t even have to turn the page, as they seemed to turn themselves. With each book I feel more and more invested with the family, and this latest one is no different, it just seems to get better and better, and there are some really tense, emotional moments.
Queen Caz, long may she reign!!
