Fabulous!! This was a great story which I could not put down. Would recommend this to everyone who loves this genre.
Just in time for the season. Completed in a couple of sittings. It's grisly, somewhat gory, and down right scary. A thriller had me glued to my screen, trying to figure how things will played out. When i stopped and just be in the moment, the story read so much better. Our main character isn't a nice person and real life you would stay far away, not having any involvement. The author writes the characters, delving into what makes them tick, why they do what they do. It was a fascinating read. However, it's not for the faint of heart. An interesting story, but not for everyone.

Just could not force myself to get through even a quarter of this book. It may be a great story but the writing is so awkward and distracting that I just could not get into the story at all. Restarted several times but it's a DNF for me, and I hate DNFing books.
Great book, really gripping with a twist in the end I never saw coming. It was quite short, just over 200 pages and I loved it because everything was happening fast and I didn't want to put the book down.
I thought it was well written, with absolutely flawlessly done characters, and absolutely unputdownable.
The storyline was brilliant and fascinating you won't want to miss this novel!
A quick and easy read that had everything I love about a thriller, it was dark, disturbing and suspenseful. I really enjoyed it, I think some opportunities were missed that would have been great to explore in a longer book, but for a short book this was good
The book started really well. Fast paced, back ground of characters were well woven into the main narrative.
But the characters remained in the background and there actions were never really explained or what led them to do what they did. . for instance, Brad had the full symptoms of a sociopath… but the author just didn’t give us a closure there.. Emily’s reasons for silence on Rachel’s death were not justifiable. The book has plenty of promise and is a good read for a dull evening but it left me wanting to know the characters better.
Thank you Net Galley and the author for letting me read this
If you are looking for a quick thriller read, this is the book. This is a short 224 page book and is probably everything you could ask for. The author really jumps to getting into the nitty gritty. There is details on the characters lives, while also throwing in action from the beginning. When you start reading and getting to know the characters, it doesn't seem like the book is going to be the way it really ends up being. You end up quickly switching what characters you like and what side you're on. but, with the book being such a quick read, it doesn't give you the time to feel hurt or betrayed by any of the characters. I give it 5 stars for all the twists and turns that I did not expect.
Retribution, by T.K. Walls, is one of the most unique psychological thrillers that I've ever read. Most of the characters were interesting, though several of them were the kind of people that you hope you never cross paths with. Though, I found the writing to be stilted and awkward, it held my interest to the end.
Seth enjoys killing. He was fairly young when he made this discovery. He found it exciting, and later on he felt that it gave him a sense of purpose. The day Rachel moved in beside him, the desire to murder stopped. They were the best of friends and she was the most important person in his life.
They continued to be best friends until later, when Rachel is killed in a horrible accident at her husband's hands. Her and most of her children die in an airplane crash. Then there's a 2nd crash and her last surviving child also dies, Now Seth’s desire to kill is back and this time he's looking for vengeance.
Well that was definitely a different kind of book! I think a good different lol this book was a little bit crazy but it still was enjoyable! This book had suspense, intrigue, murder, and a crazy who done it! I would recommend reading this book, but its just a little different?! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
