The Most Eligible Bride in London by Ella Quinn is book Three in The Lords of London Series. This is the story of Nathanael, Viscount Fotherby and Henrietta Stern. I have read the previous books that did add to my enjoyment of this one. But I do think it can be a standalone book. Nathanael had made a mistake a few years back when he thought he was helping his friend by kidnapping a women but he took the wrong lady. Now in their present day Nathaniel comes to the rescue of Henrietta but she doesn't know who he is at first. But it doesn't take long for her to realize that he is the man that had mistakenly kidnapped her sister causes trouble for them. The sparks fly between the two but can Nathaniel get Henrietta to be open to him? Enjoyed their story.
Viscount Fotherby has fallen for Henrietta in the Most Eligible Bride in London, but he has to overcome his past misdeeds against her family and show he has turned over a new leaf. Love will find a way, especially with interfering elder relatives, in this engaging regency romance. Top marks for love.
Very good book! The storyline is very detailed and the main characters: Nate and Henrietta have great chemistry! A must read for romance readers!
This was a heartwarming story about redemption and love.
Nate was the villain of this story and I wasn’t sure how this would pan out. However throughout the story you could see how Nate had left behind his dandy ways and had tried to better himself by learning how to run the family estates.
I loved how Nate’s character develops through the story making him less shallow and self centred.
I absolutely loved this book, it is well written with an engaging plot. Even though this book is part of a series it can be read as a stand-alone.
Nate, Viscount Fotherby has changed a lot since he was banished to the countryside after kidnapping his best friend’s fiancée (a slight misunderstanding). Now back in London, Nate has found the perfect bride, unfortunately she happens to be Henrietta Stern, the sister of the woman he abducted. Between meddling dowagers, two other suitors, and an angry sister, will Henrietta and Nate get their happily ever after?
I’ve enjoyed all the Duke’s of London books and this one was a good and quick read.
This was my first Ella Quinn book, and while I enjoyed some parts of the book, others (mainly their relationship) fell a little flat to me. When the book opened, I was sooooo excited because Nate was giving me HUGE Sebastian St. Vincent vibes 😫😫😫 coupled with all the child saving and whatnot I thought this would be a reallyyy interesting book. However, parts of the plot were a bit dry to me and overall, I didn't really sense any chemistry between the main couple.
Plot wise, it was pretty predictable, and you could kinda see the 3/4 conflict coming. However, I don't feel like it was really properly resolved? Also there was a lot more politics in this book than I expected, which I did find interesting for an HR, but didn't seem like much value-add besides I guess showing that both Nate and Henrietta were into politics?
But overall, I feel like the relationship was just really lacking the spark. When they had their first conversation, I thought the stiltedness was more of a 'breathless, can't take my eyes off you, who are you angel' vibe. However, as the novel went on and they got to know each other more, the dialogue still remained really stiff. There also seemed to be no buildup at all. At one point, Henrietta was like "i'm keeping an open mind" and then a few pages later she's all like 'i'm in love.' While I get you might not realize you're in love until something triggers it, the whole relationship development seemed so sudden and forced.
I wish there was more chemistry between the main couple and that the dialogue flowed better. But overall, it's a decent HR that explores some interesting areas. You can tell Ella Quinn did her research, and it makes for an interesting (at times) book.
I was so excited for this book to drop! I've been waiting for this story since I learned about Ella Quinn's intention to write it. I've always enjoyed her books, and this was no exception! In this book she brings back the (mis-guided) villain from "When the Marquis Chooses a Bride" from her Worthington's Series. When I learned about the main character from this novel, my interest was easily piqued, how do you make the "villain" into someone to root for?
Quinn showed us the way with Nate, Viscount Fotherby who we find out went through a large shift over his actions in the other book. Over the last four years he has stayed in the country determining what kind of man he wants to be - not who his father has tried to make him in to. We learn that he has left his far from appealing qualities behind and has adopted a fair and honorable mien. He's learned that everyone deserves respect, regardless of their background. When he finally heads back to London, it's in support of a friend, but when he gets there, he ends up saving an arresting young woman. Threatened by thugs, he helps save her and, in the moment, forgets to get her name.
The lady is Henrietta Stern, a practical woman who searches for her other half, a partner and finds her gaze on her heroic savior - yet she too forgets to get his name. Eventually we learn that these two have a terrible connection that Nate would like to forget, and Henrietta will have to reconcile when who she met.
I very much appreciated how this story flowed so smoothly, while it truly was love at first sight type of story, it was a smooth read as they got to know each other and deepened that love. Absolutely lived up to the hype.
My opinions are my own and freely given.
This is book 3 in the Lords of London series. It's also brings in characters from the Worthington series.
This is the story of Nate, Viscount Fotherby and Lady Henrietta. The story starts out with a great opening chapter. It's full of action and is a great meet/greet Fri the first time of the 2 main characters.
Unbeknownst to them, there is a history between the two families, and it's not a good one. Specifically between Nate and Henrietta's sister Dottie. By the time this becomes known, Nate and Henrietta are starting to form feelings for each other, which causes big problems.
While the book started out great, it fell a little flat. It felt like all the action was in the 1st chapter. It turned into a very sweet love story, which became a little dull.
All in all, I did enjoy the book.

I want to thank Netgalley for the opportunity to review this book.
I adore Ella Quinn's books, and love how her characters are connected through series. Nate was the villain in one of the Worthington books, and his redemption was done really well. I loved Henrietta! She is that plucky, empathetic heroine that we need in times like this! Nate and Henrietta's chemistry is sweet and you want to root for them as they go forward, despite the lingering misguided kidnapping of Henrietta's sister in the background! The scenery and dialogue is done so well, I highly recommend picking this book up as a standalone or if you're continuing on with The Worthingtons or Lords of London!
I always forget that to enjoy Ella Quinn books, you often have to have read previous books. This book is no exception. It would be hard for someone to pick it up cold and read it with no other Ella Quinn titles under their belt. But, if you have read previous titles this one doesn't disappoint. It tells the story of a reformed lord on a quest to find his lady. Add in some danger and charitable works and you get a heartwarming tale of redemption and love.
It's not hard to believe that redemption is a process and not a moment of clarity. Nate Meadows, Viscount Fotherby, made a horrible choice in The Marquis Chooses a Bride, he ran off with the bride, thinking he was saving his best friend from a lifetime of misery. Of course he was wrong, believed the wrong people whispering in his ear, mostly because he wanted to. Luckly he retired to the country for a few years and learned how to be a proper, thoughtful man. His willingness & desire to help others leads him to Henrietta Stern and darn it, she's the other lady's sister. Now comes the hardest part, asking forgiveness from those he wronged. Henrietta is such a lovely young woman. She's kind and wants to do more than sip tea and gossip. Her charitable works extend to Nate's cause & healing that old riff. It's a nice story and Nate's progression is so much more believable and compelling than his being given an easy out. I found this book to be a better read than some of the other characters stories. I'm looking forward to the next in the series, the youngest girls & it's bound to be a doozy of trouble.

Love at first sight...I know it happens. This story is excellent. Both Nate and Henrietta have an excellent sense of responsibility to others. While Nate's is relatively new, Henrietta has had the trait her whole life. Their meeting was truly one of fate. The challenge they face seems insurmountable, but they have the Dowager on their side.
Throughout this series and the Worthington series the Dowagers, grandmothers and mothers have been helping to see matches made. They are fun, loving and forces to be reckoned with. They can be incorrigible, but it is always coming from a place of love and devotion to the recipients of their attentions.
I enjoyed seeing the new and improved Nate. When we met him originally in WHEN A MARQUIS CHOOSES A BRIDE, he is a dandy and a fribble. He was sent to his country seat to grow up and learn to think! While he is away, he exceeds expectations and becomes a man both he and his mother can be proud of. Helping his tenants and neighbors and helping to rescue a woman and her child.
The interactions between Hate and Henrietta are filled with the lovely humor we have come to expect from Ms. Quinn. The close friendship Henrietta has with the other heroines of the two series is heartwarming. They are there for each other through thick and thin. I was a taken aback by Dorrie's reaction, pregnancy or not, but thank goodness for Merton.
Ms Quinn is on my short list of authors not to miss!

Ella Quinn knows how to write a great hero! and if you love your hero having to grovel and show the heroine he can be so much more than she thinks....then this book is for you! I look forward to more in this series!
Nate and Henrietta first encounter each other on the streets of Whitechapel, where she's doing charity work and he's rescuing a woman from a workhouse. They're instantly attracted, even though they don't know who the other is. When they officially meet in Mayfair, Henrietta discovers that he's the man who kidnapped her sister four years earlier. He insists he's now a changed man. Will Henrietta have to choose between her sister and the man she's coming to love?
This is a low-angst story with likeable characters. The pace is leisurely.
Thanks, NetGalley for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
This is a really sweet and quite romantic story from an author I haven’t read before.
Nathanael, Viscount Fotherby, abducted the now Lady Merton to save his friend from marriage. Nate has been trying to make amends ever since, leaving behind his self-centered ways to fulfill his duties—and that includes finding a wife of his own. One woman sparks his interest above all others—a lady he helped when she was rescuing a child. Miss Henrietta Stern, Lady Merton’s younger sister, is intrigued by the stranger who comes to her aid—until she learns his identity. Her heart insists that the gentleman has changed for the better. But could her family accept her choice?
This is a low burn romance with a few steamier moments. It´s sweet and romantic. I usually enjoy steamier books, but this one actually reminded me of the Bridgertons without the “I burn for you”. A bit slow with a lot of descriptions, the story felt right, historical accurate and real.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I wish I had enjoyed this book more. The author can certainly write and this book started really well, with some action and an interesting premise, but then it became quite boring with everyone constantly swinging between encouraging the love between the main characters and repeating that they shouldn’t love each other because the heroine’s sister will never forgive him. And the one and only love scene, while well written, seems an afterthought. So, I’ll sure check other books from this author, but I didn’t particularly liked this one.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Henrietta Stern meets Lord Fotherby in the act of rescuing a baby in a dark alley. Not yet formally introduced, it takes a little maneuvering from her friends' to make it happen. Unfortunately, Lord Fotherby use to be a dandy and kidnapped Henrietta's sister by mistake. After four years, he is a changed man and sorry for his past behavior. All he seeks is forgiveness and an introduction to Henrietta. The more they interact with each other, they more they realize they were meant to be together. With a little help from his mother, Henrietta's grandmother and all her friends, it may be enough help to make a marriage happen. Not as humorous as previous books. This one has a lot of focus on babies. Revisit the interconnected families and friends from previous books.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was creative, fun, held my interest and I wanted to find out what would happen next. This book can be read as a standalone story, though it is book 3 in the Lords of London series. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.
Thanks to #NetGalley for an advanced copy of #Themosteligiblebrideinlondon
I enjoyed reading about reformed dandy Nate and his journey to win Henrietta. I liked the characters of both Henrietta and Nate.
Nate had wronged Henrietta’s sister and had effectively been banished to the country until he had matured. 4 years later and he is a changed man and looking to search for a wife. While helping one of his tenants in London he bumps into Henrietta and is immediately taken with her and her charity work.
Henrietta similarly, is taken with Nate and tries to find out who he is so they can be formally introduced. When they both find out the others identity they are both dismayed due to the history between their families but are determined to see if there is the potential for love between them.
With the help of some friends, Henrietta’s grandmother and Nate’s mother they find opportunities to explore their potential.
There are a couple of small spelling errors and at one point in the story Henrietta’s maid Spyer becomes Styles who is actually employed by Nate. This did not detract from the story.

He kidnapped her sister?
Ok, we met Nate before. He did a bad, bad thing. Like kidnapping her sister. Yet, Henrietta is intrigued by Nate.
Henrietta is the bees knees, the diamond, yet, she's only interested in Nate.
But has he truly reformed?
Its a complicated place to start, but is very reminiscent of Sebastian (from a Devil in Winter).
