I loved this book. If it doesn't grab you at first, give it a few pages and you will be completely embraced by the story. Ruth Ozeki is a marvelous writer who is always exploring new forms of storytelling. "A Tale for the Time Being" is a book you will want to read more than once.

First, the cover of this book is gorgeous. It has been 3 years since I've read " A Tale for the Time Being" and it is still with me. I have purchased this book and recommended it to many people. It is a slow read to be savored. I tell everyone that it can't be rushed and if necessary go back to passaged you don't understand because it is a layered story. I am very pleased to have read "A Tale for the Time Being" and can't wait to have the time to read it again.
