I love this cover, and I really enjoyed a Pride & Prejudice fanfic that involves marching band. I will say that the reader has to have some understanding of Pride and Prejudice characters before they can enjoy this book, and I just don't know how many teens have that unless they're assigned to read Pride & Prejudice in school.
Pride and Prejudice retelling, sign me up!!!
This was a super fun read and I know it will introduct PandP to a whole new group of readers. The die hard Jane Austen fans will love it and new fans will come onboard!
A brilliant Pride and Prejudice YA retelling. I haven't been reading much YA lately as they have felt lack-luster but this one definitely did not feel like that! Good plot and likeable characters!
An amazing take on Jane Austen. An a great YA way of continuing on the story of Pride and Prejudice. Thank you to Wednesday for the gifted ARC my honest review.
I actually really enjoyed this. I'm always a sucker for a jane austen remake and this one struck all the right chords with a YA setting for this. I love seeing the characters in different lights and this was a really enjoyable fun pleasant read.
Georgie is a character in Pride and Prejudice that I would have loved to get more info on so this is a fun retelling.
Set in college and Wickham is still a waste of space trying to ruin her reputation but in a more current day way.
Love that Georgie is trying to rebuild her reputation by gaining the trust of her marching band and getting back in their good graces.
Georgie is in Darcy's shadow, the perfect older brother. And it addresses their relationship and emotional state after losing their parents. Cause I don't think was a focus on the original.
Also, love that she writes fanfic for a historical romance show that is really popular bringing it full circle.
Thank you stmartinspress and netgalley for the e-ARC for my honest and voluntary review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️
Pride and Prejudice but make it modern, and from Georgiana's POV.
I've never read Pride and Prejudice, tbh.
This was a very dramatic teenage love story, IMO
Lots of drama!
Real talk tho?! I hated Wickham.
Thank you to @netgalley and @stmartinspress for allowing me to read this story in exchange for an honest review.
A modern day retelling of Pride & Prejudice with a young adult audience in mind. Not terrible but not high on my list to recommend to others either.
I'm not the biggest fan of Pride and Prejudice, so maybe it wasn't a good decision to read a retelling but I honestly don't think it would have made a difference. I didn't care about the main character and the plot wad mediocre.
I was excited about this one, but unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. The story wasn't as compelling as I'd hoped, and I just found the plot to be lacking. It felt too unrealistic for me and the main character complained way too much. It was becoming difficult to read. The idea was great, but the execution wasn't the best in my opinion.
This book was fine. It was very much high levels of teenage drama with a heap of social anxiety and a smidge of romance and friendship growth.
I honestly could have stopped reading this at any point and been okay with the decision. There wasn't really anything that made me want to stick around to find out how things were going to go because it was pretty clear from the beginning exactly how everything was going to happen.
Overall a good YA book about finding out who you are and your place in the word.

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book.
Synopsis: This book is a YA re-telling of Pride and Prejudice. Protagonist Georgiana Darcy is back for her junior year at Pemberley Academy boarding school where she has been socially exiled after an incident last year. During her sophomore year, Georgiana got in trouble at school due to her association with fellow student Wickham Foster, a known drug dealer at the school. Now that she’s back, she has to show her brother, her peers, and the school that she has changed. Can she turn things around and start over on the right foot?
My Thoughts: I really enjoyed this fun Pride and Prejudice retelling! My favorite part of this book was watching Georgiana grow and mature as a person. I really liked seeing her character arc of transitioning from a more entitled, self-centered person into a mature, kind, inclusive person who tries to be a friend to all.
For Fans of: Pride and Prejudice, Retellings, Young Adult books, books set at boarding schools, Gossip Girl (books and tv series).
I’m always down for a prep school setting, YA novel but overall this Pride and Prejudice retelling just did not do it for me. Fitz was bizarrely protective over Georgie initially, protecting her like property. That toxic masculinity and patriarchal control is not my vibe. However the story did redeem itself with Georgie and Fitz growing a lot over the course of the story. I appreciated the journey.
Sincere thanks to NetGalley, St Martins Press, and Wednesday Books for an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed reading Georgie Darcy's story. I'm not a huge Pride and Prejudice fan, but I know the basics and I loved how Lizzie and Fitz were woven in. This modern take on Georgie's life at Pemberly after a "scandal" with her ex-boyfriend Wickham was refreshing. I liked how vulnerable Georgie was and that we got to see the relationship between her and Fitz ebb and flow as situations arose.
I will read just about any YA retelling/spin on Pride and Prejudice and I love getting to dive deeper into Georgiana's story. The development of the character from a slightly spoiled but well-meaning girl to thoughtful friend and sister was done so wonderfully. Additionally, the development of the relationship between Georgiana and Fitz was very sweet. I really loved Avery as a character and love interest for Georgiana. Overall, a very enjoyable read full of wit and charm.
I found this to be an interesting sequel to Pride and Prejudice. I like how the story had a contemporary setting. I found all the characters to be very relatable and charming. Thus, this was a fun and delightful read. The story is sweet, simple, and humorous! I think this is a faithful to Jane Austen! I recommend this for for fans of Eligible, Being Mary Bennet, and Pride, Prejudice, and Other Flavors!
I love a good retelling, and Pride & Prejudice is one of my all time favorite books. So I was super stoked about this modern day reimagining from Georgie's perspective! Accomplished was a pleasure to read, and I loved seeing my old favorite characters navigating a modern setting. Georgie and Fitz's relationship was so sweet to watch, and I loved seeing them grow and evolve throughout the book. This story put into perspective that even today, far too much weight is often placed on women's "accomplishments", rather than just who we are as people.
A thoughtful and very enjoyable story all throughout!
5/5 stars
ACCOMPLISHED by Amanda Quain is a fun remix on PRIDE & PREJUDICE, focusing on modern-day Georgiana Darcy, dealing with the aftermath of the Wickham scandal.
As a huge P&P and Austen fan, I was thrilled to receive this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review! I read every P&P and Austen retelling I can get my hands on, and this was a very unique, original take on the story, centering around Darcy's younger sister. Georgie is in high school - she's a trombone player, a fanfic writer, a quirky, well-developed, insecure teenager. I loved her! This was a fun story and I really enjoyed the P&P references. I wouldn't read this if you're expecting a P&P retelling per se -it's definitely a story all its own, with an original plot and cast of characters (with some we know and love!). Overall, a sweet and charming read.
I have to get my hands on any sort of Pride and Prejudice or Jane Austen retelling so I immediately requested an eARC for Accomplished by Amanda Quain. I loved that this story gave us Georgiana as the main character. It was different and fresh and I loved seeing things from her point of view.
The story itself is quite different from P&P which wasn't a bad thing! I like how Quain had the same characters, locations but really, the story was its own! Lots of fantastic tropes, high school young love and antics that I loved!
Pride and Prejudice, but:
• make it modern
• Georgiana is the main character
• it’s the story of Georgie rebuilding her life post-Wickham debacle
• it’s friendships
• it’s family
• it’s being a fanfic-writing trombone-playing teenage girl who is trying her best, okay?!
This was a fun and relatively quick read and I really enjoyed it.
