This non-fiction look at the importance of birds in our ecosystem and the endangered status of birds everywhere is a call to action for readers of all ages. The beautiful photographs and vignettes enhance the scientific material and the informative text. The author has written multiple books about endangered species and science facts, and this focus on birds strikes an urgent tone, yet balances nicely with a hopeful message for the future.
I look forward to adding this to our library's non-fiction collection and encourage readers to take heed to the author's warning that we must be proactive when caring for birds in our ecosystem.
I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I too have noticed a decline in birds and found this book to give some suggestions as to why and how to help. It is not overly scientific which I think helps make it a great option for any reader.
