This one wasn’t for me. I did like the intrigue and the mystery but I found it hard to connect with the characters which made it hard for me to stay invested in the story

One of Us Is Dead by Jeneva Rose is a gripping and suspenseful novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The author masterfully blends mystery, thriller, and drama to create a thrilling story that will keep you engaged from beginning to end. The characters are well-developed, and the plot is both intricate and compelling. The book provides numerous twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the very end. If you're a fan of psychological thrillers, I highly recommend One of Us Is Dead by Jeneva Rose.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a digital ARC in excange for an honest review.

In some ways this reminded me of My Summer Darlings by May Cobb, but I think this is more well done. I really enjoyed my time with this.

This book was okay. I was excited about this book, and I listened to the audiobook to be productive while reading. But it was difficult for me to focus because there were so many different POVs. When I first started listening to the audiobook, I figured there were only a few narrators as I had a hard time differentiating from the 5- it took time for me to remember whose POV I was in as the narrators all sounded the same. But at the end of the book, it said there were 5 narrators so I was confused about why they were so difficult to differentiate. I understand that all the characters were from the south, but not all people from the south sound the same.
Now regarding the actual book. Obviously, from the "present" chapters, one of the main characters dies by the end. I was ready for that character to die by the 60% mark. I don't understand why the book was so long just for her to die. I guess there were some things in that last 40% that were important, but not all of it was needed in any way.
I only gave this book 3.5 out of 5 stars.

What a great read! It took me a few chapters to get into the characters and the story since there were many points of view happening. As the title suggests, someone is dead but you’ll spend the majority of the book trying to figure it out. It’s kind of like a reverse mystery bc instead of trying to figure out who did the killing, you’re trying to figure out who got killed! Tons of secrets, lies and twists pop up and there is SO much action in the last bit of the book. Highly suggest.

The idea for this book was incredible! I think I didn’t enjoy it as much as I wanted/expected to was due to the quality of the audiobook. I was surprised at how glitchy and robotic sounding it was. I would give this another shot reading physically but I can’t recommend audio due to my experience.

Jeneva Rose can do no wrong in my book. this one was bingable, the perfect popcorn thriller. Can’t wait to see what comes next!

I loved this one! This was a very fun binge read, I totally got a real housewives vibes, and loved the multiple POVs. It is about rich gossip wives who hang out at a upscale salon. and you guessed it one of them is dead- and you do not know who is dead until the book is almost over. I wish we had more thriller component throughout the book but overall I liked the rich people problems trope- I felt like I was reading about a trashy reality television show which is right up my alley, Thank you to Netgalley for this ARC( which the review is late because I was pregnant about to pop! #momlife)

One of Us is Dead is the perfect mix of pomp and circumstance with a select group of friends who each try to outdo the other in wealth and prestige in the community. They plot and scheme in the chairs at the local salon over mimosas.
The novel is read through multiple points of view from the women to the salon owner who recounts what led to murder. Add to these women are their equally pretentious husbands who encourage bad behavior.
This novel truly reads like a thriller and a binge worthy TV show mixed into one. We ALL enjoy diving into juicy rich-people drama. The pages simmer in catty behavior including the new “kinsult” - the compliment and insult mixed into one comment and delivered with a smile.
From its beautiful cover to the spider web of lies and deceit, take the time to indulge in this addictive, fast-paced read. One of Us is Dead is wildly entertaining.

I received a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I thought the story flowed pretty well. The characters were well developed. I would say this was a quick beach read type of book.

One of Us Is Dead was a great read that will keep you invested in the drama, gossip, and games that these ladies play. The women of Buckhead definitely give off reality show vibes, such as that of "The Real Housewives". I'm also pretty sure there could be a new series of The Real Housewives of Buckhead, and it would not disappoint in the least! The book seriously took me on a wild ride that I couldn't part with no matter how much time I felt was being wasted (when you have a sinkful of dishes and a floor that needs mopping), but I just couldn't put this book down. This was a thrill to read and the twists just kept on coming!

This was a fast read but I did not feel like I was reading a thriller. Sometimes the characters confuse me since there are a lot of girls to keep up with. Overall, it was a fun and quick read. I just think that there is nothing special about this book and if you pass on this, you wouldnt miss anything.

This was a devilishly fun read!
What a fun and addictive read. I loved the desperate housewives vibe, even if these were meaner (at least some of them). Looking forward to reading even more from Jeneva Rose.

Such a perfect popcorn thriller. I am a huge fan of Jeneva Rose and have loved all of her previous books. Would definitely recommend adding this to your TBR.

DNF, this one wasn’t for me! I absolutely love the cover of the book though! I have read a lot of other reviews about this book and completely agree!

I tried to start this book so many times and unfortunately couldn’t get into it. I have heard great things about this author so maybe someone else would like it.

A group of five women use secrets and lies to stay on top in their social circle. The relationships between these rich, competitive, and gossipy women are complex. With so many secrets and lies, it eventually leads to a murder.
One of Us is Dead is told using alternating points of view and an alternating timeline. The points of view are from five women – Jenny, Olivia, Karen, Crystal, and Shannon. The women are nosy, manipulative, and not very likable. However, that makes for an entertaining cast of characters. The timeline alternates between before the murder and after the murder.
A fun vacation read! One of Us is Dead is full of drama, chaos, and twists.
I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I was first introduced to author #JenevaRose when I read her 2020 debut title #ThePerfectMarriage. Then I read and LOVED #TheGirlIWas and I was hooked on her books! 📚
#OneOfUsIsDead is described as Desperate Housewives meets Big Little Lies - and I was here for this juicy read! Rose's writing style is so engaging and this book had the drama I didn't know I needed in my life and kept me turning the pages until the very end. And how amazing is this book cover? I had fun recreating it over on my Bookstagram page...link included below!
Thank you to Blackstone Publishing for my gifted copy to read and review.

This was a fun read for me; an all grown up mean girls .i love novels told from multi view points. It sound so cliché but i loved to hate Olivia. This would make such a campy lifetime movie. I mean this as a compliment!

This one is coming to you LIVE from Hawaii! Our family is spending the week at the @disneyaulani resort and we are loving every second!
#oneofusisdead by @jenevaroseauthor was just plain FUN! I really loved this book - it was fast paced and dripping with drama. This was the perfect beach read in my opinion and boy did this one end with a bang (literally and figuratively!). These women were so chatty, bratty and completely absorbing ... I think my favorites were Karen and Keisha, but all of them brought something really fun to the table. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
