I LOVED this book. The cattiness and drama drew me in and it felt like a soap opera. The cliffhangers at the ending of each chapter were excellent and made me wanting more.
The only reason why I couldn’t give this 5 stars was because while the story was interesting, the murder and mystery part of it was very slow.
But I did enjoy the story and the audiobook the best.
Thank you to Blackstone Publishing and Jeneva Rose for my gifted copy in exchange for my honest review.

I love Jeneva Rose and this showcases why. I loved this book from start to finish. I can’t wait to read more from her.

One of Us is Dead- Jeneva Rose
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was obsessed with The Perfect Marriage and knew I would love this one as well. Jeneva has a way with hooking you and not wanting to put the book down. I didn’t know what was going to happen next and it kept me guessing until the end.

This was such a fun read! It was like a mix of desperate housewives + You. I enjoyed the drama that these ladies brought to the table and how this book kept me guessing until the very end. I didn’t expect it at all. Lastly, I have never wanted to punch a character more than I did Olivia 😬
This is the third book that I’ve read by Jeneva Rose and I’ve been really enjoying her writing style. I can’t wait for her next release, You Shouldn’t Have Come Here!
Thank you Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for the ebook copy!

"People that get their way think they’re the ones in control. But the ones that give are the ones that rule. It’s not the politician in office, but the donor behind the check that wields the sword.”
What a ride this book was. Told from 5 multiple perspectives, we get to know the ladies of Buckhead Women”s Foundation. We meet Shannon, Olivia, Karen, Crystal, and Jenny, the owner of Glow Beauty Bar. Most of their interactions happen at Jenny’s beauty salon where more than just hair and manicures are done. It is THE exclusive place to be if you want to be in the inner sanctum of the best gossip. The rule of the game in Buckhead is to keep your friends close but your enemies so close, you are almost glued to the hips and you can be twins.
I love how the women are like the staged of homes when you want to sell your house, they look fantastic and perfect but they are all empty and if you get really close, you will see all the cracks in the facade.
There are some strong bonds, solidarity, and comradery that do take place and the lengths they will go through, regardless if they hate and love each other. It was character-driven because I am all there for hidden character motivations, background stories, and all that angst. Plus, I thoroughly enjoyed the snarky comments. I love this book! I will re-read again because it was so deliciously wicked and fun!
Special thanks to NetGalley and the Blackstone Publisher for sending me this review copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinions.

A fast-paced read with a cast of unlikeable characters all capable of murder. While the writing was simplistic, and the characters all carried the same voice, the setting at Glow was a unique choice that I enjoyed. The plot mainly revolved around catty drama and the murder of a character we have yet to discover, which holds our interest throughout and keeps us engaged.
If there was more craft to the writing I would have given it more stars, but the slow burn plotline of girl drama and the "big reveal" that didn't feel authentic to the story (breadcrumb clues could have been planted throughout the story, but weren't) weren't thrilling enough to make up for the prose style, and the character personalities were hard to differentiate one from the others.

I really loved this book by the end and will be recommending it to friends. This book surprised me more with every chapter and had me clinging to the book by the end. What started out feeling like it could have just been someone adding murder to an episode of the Real Housewives ended up being and incredible twisted journey. The book felt like Gossip Girl meets Pretty Little Liars but set with adults in a fictional town in Georgia.
Throughout the book, a group of wealthy women all harboring secrets and resentment toward each other connect at a members-only beauty salon. The drama builds throughout with flashbacks leading into the fateful night, as the present day murder investigation unwinds.
The character development for each of the women is excellent and sucks you into the intricacies of their lives. Each woman has a different reason to harbor ill will toward the deceased, but the execution of how we reach the actual death is masterfully crafted.

A light, fun mystery with a great setting. But it's hard to root for any of the characters. Except to kill each other.

This is my book, and I had to request it to test out the link so here's a short review to fix my NG ratio. I enjoyed writing this book. 5/5 stars.

Wow! This book was such a fun time! Desperate Housewives meets murder is the best way to describe this novel.
I absolutely adored the characters. They were so well thought out. They fit the royal of rich women so well. Olivia is every woman’s worst nightmare as a friend. She was so well written!
I felt like the murder was a bit rushed at the end. But Overall I really enjoyed this book. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to break a slump. It is such a good time.
4/5 Stars
Thank you so much to the publisher and NetGalley for an arc copy in exchange for my honest review.

This was boring, disappointing and repetitive - I considered DNFing this a few times, and I wish I had. A VERY slow build up for a very underwhelming ending. The characters were essentially caricatures and there was no depth to them at all.

Twisted! Intense! Crazy story of so-called friends, somewhat frenemies! This one is not to be missed!
Seriously.
The audiobook is narrated by next-levels at their job - Elizabeth Evans, Hillary Huber, Cassandra Campbell, Brittany Pressley, and Andi Arndt!
Thank you, Jeneva Rose, Blackstone Publishing, and NetGalley for my advance ecopy and audiobook for my honest opinion.

Thrillers are always the best genre to bring you out of your reading slump. When I read this book a few months back, I was in an awful reading slump and this was one book that pulled me out of the slump. Witty dialogue, three-dimensional characters and an intriguing plot that will keep the reader guessing. The information dumps could've been avoided at times ; regardless, the book was an exciting read.
Will recommend this book to everyone looking for a decent thriller read.

Wow this kept me guessing, I really really enjoyed it!!! Sketchy, small town housewife vibes? Yes please!

The characters were catty, spoiled, and plastic but entertaining nonetheless. The author did a wonderful job at bringing these women to life. Jenny was my favorite since she was the most down-to-earth person in the group. I did root for almost all of them through the book. An entertaining book for sure that was well done

I guessed the ending by chapter one. I chose to listen to the audiobook and that’s honestly the way to go with every POV having their own narrator. Really loved that aspect. Otherwise though, it reminded me a lot of The Hunting Wives. I’ve come to accept that I don’t think Jeneva is for me. I wasn’t a fan of The Perfect Marriage either. I know she has a loyal fan base on IG and TikTok but she’s just not for me.

This book had everything I hate about society. This mean-girl crap and scandals about sex and all that are things incredibly ignorant and stupid to write about. The fact that people want to read this baffles me.

Pretty good read! Gave me some serious Desperate Housewives vibes and I didn’t hate it. All the twists are at the end, but it wasn’t painful to get to them. Overall, a good read!

One of Us Is Dead - Jeneva Rose
I love a good Jeneva Rose book thats for sure! Set in a fancy high society salon, we’ve got our mix of likable and hateable characters. There were almost too many POV’s and characters at first for me to keep up with but I quickly got the swing of things. What a juicy read! Great drama, great mystery, seriously jaw dropping at times. Good twists that I absolutely did NOT see coming. This sort of gave me a Big Little Lies feel & had a great ending! Def add to your TBR!

I am a big fan of this author (in books and on tik tok). This book was full of drama, secrets, and a whole lotta bitches. This was truly a book of rich housewives and their overly dramatic lives. For me I was able to figure out who was murdered, but the reasoning was a surprise. However, I would not consider this book a thriller. I did enjoy this book, and from looking at other reviews, the audiobook is even better. So I plan to listen to that as well!
