Romance and rockstars.

I have read many books that fall under that category and this book is certainly up there with the favorites.

Annabelle is not your typical person when you image rock music. First of all, rock music is so not her thing. But if you're going to one, you might as well look the part right? So she did and it landed her one of the band members. The night was one of the best nights that Annabelle had, but that's all it was.

Dakota is that typical stereotype when it comes to rockstars and women. Yes, he loves them, A LOT of them, but hey stereotype remember?
However, it also can be true that it only takes one person to change everything and that happened to be Annabelle and that one night together.

Neither expected a wedding to stir things back up. Annabelle's friend happens to be marrying a member of the band and yet somehow didn't plan on other members to show, let alone meeting Dakota again. But it's fine right? He probably couldn't remember that night among the endless nights he's had in between.

If only Dakota ever really forgot and soon it won't be long before the romance and spice start.

I really liked this book and look forward to more from Tam. The writing was amazing and the story kept my attention throughout. It did have some refreshing moments from other rockstar romances and have certainly earned its spot as one of my favorites.

A rock star romance that hits all the right notes!
For readers who like this romance subgenre, I highly recommend the Balefire series.

This is a great music romance and I really enjoyed the character development and the world-building. I will definitely be reading more of Jackson in the future.

I found this book to be mediocre and it was hard for me to finish it. I've read many rock romances but this one didn't have much of a plot.

I wasn't the biggest fan of this book, but I didn't dislike it either. To me, it all felt a bit cliché. The while 'rockstar romance' felt like a fanfic. There was no real connection between the two main characters, even when the story line tries to push it. To me, it did miss chemistry.

More likely this book has sex, a few feelings, and a few characters thrown through a mix of a music band and a few women who are best friends

Not easy to like if you're looking for a story with love like me...but if you only want sex and that kinda feeling over simple attraction or overanalyzing attraction

Not for me!

This is Dakota and Annabelle's story. It all started with a scorching hot one-night stand two years ago after a Balefire concert. It also ended there when Annabelle left Dakota's room. Both of them have been reliving that night, but never made contact with each other. At the wedding rehearsal of Jack and Clio (who we met in Book 1) Dakota and Annabelle see each other again and the story takes off from there.

Grumpy Garrett is back causing tension and stirring things up in his usual way.

Quick and easy read allowing you to escape for a few hours.

I'm sorry but this book was not for me at all. To start with, the love story was based on literally nothing but physical attraction which is a great place to start but when you have an entire book of them just hooking up, not talking, and basically Dakota just leading Annabelle around on a string and her not having a mind of her own whatsoever, it gets grating. It's especially bad when you routinely have Annabelle sexually harassed by basically every man around her and there being basically no difference between those actions and the actions of Dakota except for the fact that Annabelle is into Dakota. Literally, Annabelle is hired to be an INTERN and then is whisked away to be on tour (handling what seems like a vast array of stuff that has nothing to do with marketing) and Dakota forces this to happen but there's no conversation about how this is jeopardizing her job or how Dakota's actions are literally the exact same as all the creepy dudes around her. Maybe it could have been helped if Annabelle stood up for herself even once and displayed a personality, but that never happens.

Sorry, not for me at all.

I’m sad to say that I was very bored in this book and did not like the hero. The heroine was okay. The whole book was okay

Second Chance Rock Romance

Dakota is the hot playboy guitarist for the rock band Balefire and he lives up to the part of the lifestyle by granting groupies what they are looking for. Nothing long term, just for one night. Then Annabelle gets her wish since she is a huge fan of the guitarist and she knows how it works so the next morning after the concert she leaves. Now she just has to get her head to believe what her heart knows. This was all just a one-time fantasy. The thing is Dakota is having the same issue that Annabelle is.

Now two years later and they meet again by surprise when its Annabelle’s best friend who is marrying the drummer for Balefire, that they spot one another. By now Annabelle has graduated college and is working on her MBA so she interns a job in management for Balefire. Funny how that works out because she can see what Dakota is up to now. Little does she know that Dakota has been thinking just as much about that night two years ago just an Annabelle has.

This book is full of steam, lies, trust and betrayal and gave me the HEA I was hoping for.

Kind of lost interest half way trough the book. The main characters were just okay and the plot got worse and worse

ARC received for review

Dakota and Annabelle met and hooked up during the first book. Now it's two years later and she's gotten an intern position with the band. She doesn't want to ruin her working reputation, but Dakota makes it work. Then the slimy band manager sticks his nose in again and makes her run. Dakota chases and all well that ends well. Can't wait for the last member to fall, and please someone shot that manager.

"For the first time in my life, I was unsure with a woman and it drove me batshit crazy."

After finding myself in a reading slump, having started a few books but not connecting much at all, I decided to go with this Rockstar romance I'd spotted on Netgalley that looked like a good time. That book being Wild for Me, of course.

So, when I started reading and found myself smirking, laughing out loud and eyerolling in the best of ways at Dakota's cocky self-confidence, I forgot I was reading and started enjoying myself again. I loved Dakota's man-on-a-mission vibe. He was determined to have Annabelle and it was great to read the lengths he went to, the flirting and banter, the seducing and standing up for his girl. But, Annabelle was not one to let herself be swept away mindlessly. No, she stood up to Dakota, showing him that two could play at his game, all the while juggling the most pain in the ass "boss" (really a low life turned snake) to try to make the best of her internship to further her career.

Obviously, I loved 3/4 of the book. However... Sadly, I felt the ending was rushed. I'd seen something coming with Garrett being the slimy trash he also was in the previous book, but all of a sudden there was "the problem" and everything went haywire exponentially. But the reader was kept in the dark about that key moment, which was a mistake in my opinion, as I was quite confused about what was going on. One minute everything was kinda fine and the next, people were freaking out. I felt like I'd missed a chapter or something, not quite understanding what was happening.

Anyway, like in every romance, there comes a point where one MC tries to repair the relationship. I did not like the way Dakota went about that. Of course, I had noticed during the first half of the book that Dakota was quite controlling, demanding and didn't respect boundaries much (at all, even). But hey, I was hellbent on enjoying the book and since he was cocky and trying to score his girl, I went with it. Something about fiction vs reality, right? Right. Well, it didn't stick in the repair scene.

!!! SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT ON !!!

For one, forcing your way in the door when your girl - who you've hurt big time - has told you to go and leave her alone, is not respecting her boundary and that's a major no go in my opinion. So that got on my nerves. Imagine when he locked the door as well... No words. Then he states that her clothes are at his place in their room and goes on to talk to her like nothing happened. Like, excuse me, this is the time for you to start apologizing right off the bat, not to first stake your claim when you really have no right to. Okay, so after he told her not to cry (hate when people do that), he tries to apologize and then makes a very crude attempt at seduction IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS APOLOGY. Dakota, please, read the room. You are supposed to grovel, to apologize for what happened, to ask her for forgiveness, beg her to give you another chance. Not make crude insinuations about what you want to do sexually. That's when he lost me. I would've pushed him out the door, right then and there. But hey, we need a HEA, because it's a romance and one second later, there it was... Do you hear my frustrated sigh? Anyway, after that, it's morning, we get a joke and the end.

Like I said, rushed ending, which ruined the book for me, to be honest, as I sat there thinking "is that it?". I'm honestly disappointed because the majority of the book was a 5 star read for me. It's just sad to see a good book being ruined by a rushed ending and a not so thoughtful repair scene...

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this.

This is the first book in the series that I've read. While I did find this an easy read and the storyline of the rockstar romance was enjoyable, I didn't really enjoy the characters.

One of my main issues with the book is the overall male toxicity environment that the female lead Annabelle is in, and the fact that women are objectified throughout the book. I even felt what should have been supportive friends, basically accept the whole environment, and the only support she got was towards the end from her family, with their appearance being only very brief.

This story wasn't my cup of tea, but I know that despite all these issues (that are just my issues), there are those who will enjoy this story. It is basically each to their own.

This is a great book. The two main characters are Annabelle and Dakota. Annabelle is a college student and Dakota plays in a band. They meet at one of the band concerts. They have a one night stand. They meet again when a member of the band is marrying one of Annabelle’s friend. Dakota helps Annabelle to get an internship with the band. Dakota only wants Annabelle. They have some issues but work them out and declare their live.

This is the first book I have read by Tam DeRudder Jackson and it is the third book in this series. I haven't read the first books, so I cannot comment on those, but this book can be read alone without having read the other two first. This book follows the relationship of Annabelle and Dakota. This wasn't the best romance I've read, but it still is a solid story. The biggest problem I had was that Dakota was really blind to how awful the band manager was treating Annabelle and he only gave lip service to taking care of the manager. Instead of taking care of him, he let the manager put a wedge between Dakota and Annabelle. While we get our HEA, I think Dakota and Annabelle need to still work on their issues as I don't think they have all magically disappeared. Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy of Wild for Me.

This is the 3rd book in the series. It can be read as a standalone, but I think it would be better to read them in order, which I have not done. Dakota is a strong personality with many bad boy vibes. Annabelle is the one that might change him. I will now have to go back and read the rest of the 2 books prior.

I received this ARC through #netgalley and I am voluntarily reviewing this book

Tam DeRudder Jackson knocked this book outta the park! I have not read any of the other books in this series but if they are anywhere near as good as this one I can’t wait!
I am a sucker for romance and this book brings it! The storyline of Annabella and Dakota literally had me rooting for them from day one.

Throw on Garrett with his gross aggressive ways and Annabelle’s friendships with Clio and Bailey and it makes for a fiery mix!

As the romance between Dakota and Annabelle ramps up the human nature of jealousy and someone feeding insecurities makes this story so interesting and keeps you hooked to the end!

I’m a sucker for a happy ending especially after a mishap that causes issues.

Definitely recommend this book!
