Addictive read, could not put it down until finished in a few hours. Turns out that even the wildest of the bunch, Dakota can be tamed without consciously trying. Dakota's one night stand with Annabelle becomes the yardstick that others are measured against and found wanting, he can't get her out of his thoughts. Once they meet again , it's on. Loved the chemistry and rapport between these two, devoured the pages until the satisfying end. Definitely would recommend not only this book but this series as well,

That one night after the concert in Red Rocks was the supposed to be the first and last night of Dakota Perri and Annabelle Stewart. Of course, with Dakota being the lead guitarist of Balefire who so much enjoyed after-concert hot activities, what would Annabelle hope for? But years later, on the wedding of their best friends, the two met once again and rekindled everything between them.

Wild For Me is the third book in the Balefire Series and Tam's writing style was amazing. It was simple with her own way of making the readers crave for more. The characters are well-described too and I loved how Tam was able to interestingly introduce the main ones, Annabelle and Dakota. The backstory of Dakota as to why pursued music and being in the band is compelling.

❝All my life, I've been trying to be whole, and with you, I finally was.❞

Their chemistry is perfect— and hot. Take it.

This maybe my first time reading a book of Tam, I could say that I admire the bond of the Balefire members and how they got each others' back especially whenever Garrett is being annoying. Congratulations Tam for successfully making Garrett an annoying character! You did well on that and I really love when the guys give him a savage blow of words.

Guess you don't have to read the previous books because I directly jumped on this third book and still enjoyed it. Recommending this to those who like office and secret romances, and into hot rock stars.

STEAMY!!! This book was filled with steamy moments, rock-n-roll bands, and so much more! Annabelle and Dakota definitely find themselves in the end. I love how they still felt connect after those years apart and we were able to see them work everything out. I just want more of their story!!!

3.5 stars

I’ve enjoyed this series and I like the writing style. I loved the behind the scenes band stuff, it was good fun. But I didn’t believe the professional behaviours and thought Annabelle wasn’t really interested in her career with the way she behaved.

I did not feel any connection to these characters. I also didn’t feel that they had a real connection, physical yes but not sure otherwise.

All the descriptors are around ‘sexy’ etc rather than a descriptors.

Lead guitarist for Balefire, Dakota has a one night stand with Annabelle. Two yers later he still can’t get her out of his mind. Now they meet again at a wedding and the sparks still fly.

I hadn’t read the previous novels in this series. But with a rockstar romance you can’t go wrong.

I was so excited to get early access to Wild for Me after finishing Sing for Me awhile ago and loving it. And I was not disappointed.

Although I did not like it as much as the Blu and Ashleigh's book, and still haven't read Play for Me. I still very much enjoyed Wild for Me.

Dakota Perri is the lead guitarist for the bigges Rock band in the country Balefire. He is known to be very fond of the women who frequent the concerts and everyone knows it. However, he still thinks about the night with a hot brunette two years ago.

Annabelle is totally surprised when she walks into her best friend's wedding rehearsal to see Dakota Perri the lead guitarist of Balefire and who she had a Wild one night stand with.
It gets even better when she scores an internship with the band. Something that could be amazing for her resume.

I loved Annabelle although I wish she'd have been more out spoken to Dakota. It was frustrating to me when he seemed he didn't understand that she was doing a job and not hust there for his entertainment.

I didn't love Dakota but still enjoyed the book. He just seems like such a Diva!

Overall I enjoyed Wild for me. I can't wait to read the next one and I am planning on going and reading Play for Me asap!

3.75⭐

Wild For Me is my first introduction to the series and it was certainly an entertaining one. Although I didn't feel much of a connection with the two main characters. Yet, with little angst and drama this was a light and easy read rock star romance, and I was easily engaged throughout.

3.5 ✨

Dakota Perri is the textbook definition of a rockstar. Tall, wild, rich and gorgeous. Lead guitar player in Balefire, the world's hottest band at the moment, he is followed everywhere by a mix of alcohol, parties and women... Too bad he is still thinking of a girl he slept with after a show one year ago.

Anabelle Stewart wants to become a serious, successful woman. Long behind are her college days as a child wild, sleeping around and drinking with her friends (not that it stopped her for being top of her class and getting a wonderful GPA, mind you). Replacing the parties, the opportunity of grade school and a good MBA is the newest goal. Nothing ever distracts her from this goal, nothing except for a certain guitar player she slept with a year ago after a show.

When Dakota's bandmate, Jack and Annabelle's best friend, Clio (hey, that's almost my name) get married and both take part of the wedding party, will the one night stand turn into something more permanent? Will they rekindle the flame of that night?

After all, we all need to be a little wild.

This book was really good. I felt love, lust, happiness, excitement, chills, the creeps and even dread and sadness. A sorrow so deep it surprised even me. For such a short book, I fell deeply in love with its characters and the side characters (the two first books are downloading to my kindle as I write this( and I cried and laughed alongside them.

It's also a very steamy book I gotta say, I loved that. I like a book that doesn't shy from the physical side of things. It was at times tho, a bit much. I kinda needed a few deeper conversations.

My one issue with the book (and the reason it's not a 4 or 5 star book) is that it ends abruptly. I wished things fully resolved before we moved forward. I still don't know how things are going to work out.

There is a preview for the next book and it seems to take place simultaneously with this one, so maybe that is why. I'll have to read that one and see.

I love this series. Rockstars on tour with soft sides that, in this book, was captured by Annabelle. A fast paced and action packed romp of a tale. We follow the band on tour and the relationship that develops between Dakota and Annabelle, despite both of them denying anything deep could or would ever happen. A real feel good book that is hard to put down.

Wild For Me is another instalment in the Balefire (rockstar romance) series by Tam DeRudder. The main male character in this book Dakota (bass player) and the main female character Annabelle appeared in the first book, Play for Me which focused on the lead singer Blu and his relationship with Ashleigh. Dakota and Annabelle meet briefly one night, spend the night together. Both expect a one and done but two years later they still think of each other and the night they spent together. They cross paths again at Jack's (another band member) wedding to Clio but when Annabelle scores a job as an intern with Balefire (like that's a coincidence) Annabelle she needs to consider whether she can be professional in her role and keep Dakota at an arm's length.

The tension is real in this one. You have Dakota whose cup runneth over in the ego department, and Annabelle who's admittedly a fan of Balefire, and scores her dream job. She's young and really struggles to be professional, and at times is overwhelmed by the opportunity, let alone Dakota, who is demanding, cheeky, and takes her breath away by his company and attention. Dakota grows a little in his ability to share his history with Annabelle, but shows his typical rock star attitude when they have a disagreement.

This series is a fun look at a group who tour alot, practice little, and have so much going on I don't know how they get anything done. Might just be rockstar reality, who knows? There's a sense of family as well between some of the members of the band. There's an unlikeable character in the manager who has been a complete ass throughout - and I'm hoping there's not a book about him in this series future. They need a new manager and he can have a book!

Thanks to Netgalley for my advanced reading copy of this book. It's out on 18 November 2021.

Tam DeRudder Jackson is a new to me author, and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Rockstar romance is one of my favourite tropes, so reading this was a no-brainer for me. The writing was great and i loved the characters and storyline.

Dakota was kind of a jerk is the two previous books. This shows a whole new side of him than we’ve seen before.

He could be such a clown and a diva in public, but when it was only the two of us, he turned on the sweet.

Annabelle had a one night stand with him after a concert two years ago. She’s never really got forgot what it was like.

Wanting her as much as I did, but not knowing for sure what she thought had me climbing the walls.

How the Rock Star guitarist has fallen!! Facing a trouble making manager and groupies that don’t want Dakota to be taken they face a rocky road to happiness. Along the way is a beautiful and sexy hot love story.

Another amazing read from one of my favorite authors.

Another great book in the Balefire series! This is a page turner. Annabelle and Dakota's connection is electric and addicting. There's passion, suspense, and action that leaps off the page. I already can't wait for the next book in the series!

This story was about Dakota, a rock star, and Annabelle, a one-night stand. She leaves the next morning without a backward glance. Two years later they meet up again at a band member's wedding, where she is the bride's best friend. They re-unite and Annabelle gets a job with the band. It is probably very true of the music industry I suppose, how the groupies are treated and the pressure put on the talent. The entanglements of the characters was a little hard to keep straight. But a good read, the story line interesting and fun.
Thank you NetGalley for providing this copy. The opinion of this review is solely my own.

In book one, Annabelle attends the after party of Balefire with a mission in mind. Well two really. In this book, there are more details about what really went down with her that night.

Dakota is the lead guitarist of the band. He is very popular with the ladies, and settling down is the furthest thing on his mind. When he attends the drummer's wedding, the past resurfaces in the form of Annabelle.

She thinks that he won't remember her, but she couldn't be more wrong. They reconnect without any future expectations. They spend a lot of time together and soon find that their relationship is not just physical. Deep down, they know that something more is going on between them, but there is always someone to put the spanner in the works. This brings tears and heartache which make them realise that they are meant to be. Is it too late though?

Dakota is quite the character on and off stage. Annabelle makes him a better person. The interactions between the band members are more prominent in this installment. They are loyal, supportive, and fun. The focus is mainly on the band on tour, and Dakota and Annabelle of course. It's a light and entertaining read.

Book three in the Balefire series and this time it’s Dakota Perri’s turn. He’s the wild lead guitarist for the band and he hooked up with Annabelle Stewart after a concert a few years back and she left the next day. She never got out of his head, so imagine his surprise when he goes to a bandmate’s wedding and sees her there. It had fun (like when he invites himself over to her family's house for dinner, and her sister freaks right out when she finds out who the mysterious guest is). A lot of sass, some heartbreak, and suspense, good characters along with a shady one or two and you rooted them to get together. So, when you get a chance pick up a copy and enjoy.

Unfortunately this text is too problematic for me to focus on much besides the overwhelming amount of toxic masculinity, sexual harassment, and dubcon (possibly even outright non-consent). Over and over, women are objectified and discussed as objects, especially the "groupies" for the band. The female MC is pervasively sexually harassed by the group's manager (to the point of him basically pimping her out) and the only result is some vague threats and talk of a possible management shake-up (Maybe. After the tour.) The male MC seems more offended at the violation of his claim on "his girl" than the manager's actual disgusting behavior and the risks he's exposing them to.

Even the male MC routinely ignores the female MC's boundaries. She is, rightfully, concerned with maintaining her professional reputation and he shows absolutely no respect or consideration for that. He routinely invades her space and touches her when she indicates she's uncomfortable and doesn't want it. He pushes her for public sex after a show and even though she's still conflicted and troubled by it afterwards, it's never really addressed.

It's not that the story is completely devoid of positive elements. The male MC's backstory has potential, the female MC's family is awesome, and there are some warm, fun friendships, but it just can't make up for the uncomfortable elements.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review.
