I enjoyed this romance story with all of the characters. The two main characters were Ella Harding and Andy Matthews.

Ella Harding and Andy Matthews were highschool sweetheart but after graduation they broke things off. Years later Andy Matthews is a Texas Ranger and Ella Harding has her own business as a flower person. While delivering Christmas wreaths she is shot at a homestead.

This was a fun short story. That had action and a bit of drama within. It also had a few funny things that had me laughing or giggling to.

I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley and StoryOrigin. This is my honest unbiased opinions.

Complementary copy given for my honest review and opinion. A lost love from years past comes back with all of the same feelings. Rekindling them is inevitable. Fast romance but worth the read.

A second chance romance, Ranger’s wish is the first in the Texas Devil’s and a great way to start the series. Andy and Ella are well suited characters and the story was engaging throughout. I will look to recommend and read more by this author

A Ranger’s Wish is a sweet and endearing second chance romance in a Christmas setting, where high school sweethearts are reunited and find the chemistry of a decade past is still an indisputable reality. Naturally, our hero Andy comes to the rescue of his former love Ella, and a captivating romance ensues. This is technically the start of a new series called Texas Devils, but it is easily enjoyed as a standalone Christmas tale.

Ranger’s Wish by Sofia Aves
A Texan Devils Christmas Novella

Ten years before the story begins, Andy thought his future would include being a member of the Texas Rangers with Ella at his side. Instead, he joined the Rangers, but Ella said goodbye. As the story begins, they meet again a few days before Christmas and the chemistry and curiosity is reignited. Andy is busy with temporarily being in charge of the office with all the crazy Christmas crimes that take place and Ella is busy filling floral orders for the holidays.

We are introduced to a few of the men that Andy works with, hear a bit about his family who have worked as Rangers in the past, and are left wondering just why Andy and Ella didn’t stay together in the past. It all comes to a head when a report comes in that shots were fired and Ella might be in danger. Will Andy get there in time to save Ella and if so, will they find a way to get it right this second time around?

This was a nice introduction to a new series. I look forward to seeing Jake’s story next and hope Brodie will get a book of his own, too.

Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Yes

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the ARC - This is my honest review.

A hint of a cowboy romance as Ella and Andy reconnect. The old romance is gently told and both Andy and Ella are given a strong voice. The journey they go on to find out what they mean to each other is a little short however very cute. The start of a good series.

Ranger’s Wish – This is a sweet story about a third-generation Texas Ranger attempting to live up to the reputations of his father and grandfather who meets up with his high school love days before Christmas. This is a perfect story for curling up in front of the fireplace on a rainy or stormy day. I received an ARC from NetGalley, and the opinions expressed are my own.

This is a novella and part of a series, but works as a standalone. Andy is a Texas Ranger manning the office over the Christmas holidays. Ella was his high school sweetheart who broke it off and broke both of their hearts. Ten years later, they meet as she is providing floral decorations in his office. When Ella goes missing, Andy goes after her.

The plot is simple enough. The characters are inconsistent in their interactions at times. The work really needs another round of proofreading and editing as there are a few spots of glaring typos and confusing sentences, but overall it is readable.

My primary issue with this work revolves around the setting and the inaccurate representation of Texas terrain, weather, and the depiction of the Texas Rangers organization and duties. As a Texan, I associated everything I read as someplace like Wyoming or Montana, and the Rangers as something akin to a sheriff's department.
