Sometimes the past and present can intertwine...
Wow, this third book in the US Marshals series was a real doozy! Over the years I've read as many of Lisa Harris' books that I could get my hands on, and I've come to expect a great deal from her. Not once has she ever disappointed me and The Catch lived up to its predecessors in every way.
Lisa Harris is one of the top names in Christian romantic suspense for a pretty good reason. The Catch is a prime example of why that is. The third US Marshals novel featured all of the chilling danger, intriguing mystery, romantic sparks, and emotional angst that you could hope for in a good romantic suspense novel.
There were some pretty good twists and turns in The Catch. I guessed some of them but more than once Lisa Harris caught me completely by surprise with a real curveball. I loved it! Hey, those surprises kept this book from being anything but boring!
If you haven't read the previous two US Marshals book I do suggest you do so before picking this one up. I have read book two and I still took a couple of chapters to get back into the swing of things.
Point of this review? The Catch was a great read and one that I can recommend to any fan of Lisa Harris and her US Marshals series. Lisa Harris kept the tension ratcheted up and the plot going at breakneck speed in The Catch and I wouldn't have had this US Marshals novel any other way. So, take my advice and don't miss a riveting thing...

This is a page-turner. Don't start it unless you are ready to race with the characters to locate a child who is missing. There are so many layers to this rich story. You won't be able to stop until you know what happens. And the romance sizzles.
This intriguing suspense drama contains so many tangled threads in the intricate crime story it makes me wonder how the author could create such an interwoven tale with multiple subplots and how she kept them all straight and finally resolved them. Along with the exciting mystery, the theme of grief underrides the story, which also contains a developing romance. This series is best read in order because this novel ties up the main characters’ journeys and brings the ongoing crime investigations to conclusion, but the book can stand alone too. Join US Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn in their nonstop pursuit of criminals and hostages. If you enjoy reading thrillers, don’t miss this one. I received a copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own. #TheCatch #NetGalley
In The Catch, the third and final book in Lisa Harris’s US Marshals series, the gripping action begins with a crisis in the courthouse.
As the result of a near kidnapping of a judge, Deputy US Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn need to urgently find a missing woman and a child who is in danger.
The action is breathtaking and the plot full of suspense from the first sentence to the final scene. It is great to pick up Madison’s mystery which ran through Book 1 (The Escape) and Book 2 (The Chase). In The Catch, Maddison not only searches for the missing woman and baby, she is also confronted with the killer of her own husband.
Readers who enjoy books full of suspense and drama, along with a strong romantic thread, will love this book. The story contains a good clean read with a clear thread of faith intertwined with an entertaining story.

I received a complimentary copy of The Catch from Revell Publishers. They did not require a positive review. Awarding five stars and the words of this review are my own.
The wife of a high profile judge is dead at the hands of his mistress, and that is just the beginning. The baby born to his mistress and the baby’s sitter are missing. But it is the complication unearthed as a result of the Amber Alert that has Deputy US Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn racing to find them before they are lost to the men who are hunting the babysitter. If that was the only complication, it would be a hair raising, heart pumping, escapade. If that was the only complication, the person who murdered Madison’s husband and has been tormenting her would not be shooting at her. Again. If that was the only complication, Madison and Jonas would not be wrestling with the attraction that has been growing between them. Still. The original intrigue and its complications add up to a novel you will devour and will finish feeling well satisfied.
If you loved The Escape and The Chase, you are going to love The Catch!
Thank you to the author and publisher for allowing me a copy to read and review. All opinions expressed here are my own and are completely genuine.
This fast paced, action packed, romantic suspense novel with a gentle weave of faith was amazing. It started out with a bang and kept the momentum going throughout the entire book. The suspense was palpable and I Could. Not. Put. The. Book. Down. You guys, it is one of those books that keeps you going; you cannot stop because you have to know what is going to happen books! Harris had me hook, line, and sinker. She baited me well because I was all in. From the romance between Jonas and Madison (sparks were flying!), to the edge of your seat action and suspense, Harris has hit this one out of the park. If you like romantic action suspense novels, The Catch is a MUST READ!!! I received a copy of this book for free; all thoughts and opinions are my own.
**4.5/5**
When you read a lot of romantic suspense like I do, many of the stories blur together. You forget details because plots are so similar, and characters have the same types of stories. The Catch by Lisa Harris, however, does not fall under these same parameters. What makes it unique is how little the romance influences the story—and I loved that element. With The Catch, the relationship between Jonas and Madison does not take center stage. Instead, Harris focuses on the crime. The plot. Instead of having romance with suspense, The Catch has suspense with a romance. Because of this, Lisa Harris stands apart from many authors who write the same genre…and it is why I like her work so much.
Unlike some other series, it is important to read the two books that come prior to The Catch by Lisa Harris. The final addition to Harris’s “US Marshals” trilogy has its own story, yes, but it follows the same two characters from the other books and their growing relationship—professional and romantic. Other series have siblings or best friends finding their true loves. Instead of giving readers a rapidly developing tale in one book alone, Harris takes three books to define Jonas and Madison. You get to know them just a little bit more with every book. Thanks to the time Harris took to have her characters grow, I felt that I knew them. They were not imaginary people. My brain created faces and voices for them. Jonas and Madison became my friends.
The Catch by Lisa Harris begins with drama and ends with drama. Gunshots. Kidnapping. Deception. Betrayal. You name it, The Catch has it…but the story is never overcrowded. It is action-packed, but not in a way that confuses readers. Easy to read and easy to follow, I only put The Catch down because I needed to go to sleep. When a dog woke me up early the next morning, I didn’t close my eyes again. Nope, I pulled out The Catch and read for an hour before getting dressed for work.
Harris is an expert in the field of figurative fishing. She baited me, and I grabbed hold…and The Catch reeled me in with no trouble at all. No fighting. No hesitation. In other words, The Catch by Lisa Harris caught yours truly, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s only a matter of time before Harris hooks me again!
Lisa Harris is a gifted story teller who has mastered the romantic suspense genre, and this book is proof! The Catch is the third and final installment in the US Marshalls series, and it is a fabulous read.
From the explosive beginning to the very satisfying conclusion, The Catch is fast-paced, filled with danger, misdirection, and lots of twists and turns. Harris concludes this series by tying up loose ends that have been left hanging throughout the series, so that justice prevails for US Marshalls Madison James and Jonas Quinn.
The Catch is an exciting read, one that was hard to put down. Highly recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Net Galley for providing me with a copy. The opinions are my own.
The final book in the US Marshalls series by Lisa Harris, The Catch begins with a bang and the characters rarely have time to catch a breath before the last pages. I was caught holding my own breath a time or two as I read.
Although The Catch is enjoyable as a stand along novel, it is even better if one has already read the previous two books of the series. With more than enough action, danger, suspense, and surprises, this book should satisfy most action/suspense lovers. The characters come to life on the pages and a touch of romance and a underlying message of faith make the story shine.
I appreciated how the author managed to wrap up all the open threads from all three books into a satisfying and believable conclusion. I would definitely recommend The Catch as well as the entire series.
The autho 'catches' you and draws the readers into the story so you are fully engaged and I couldn't put the book down ... just wanted to know what was going to happen.
This is quite an adventure of a book. The plot twists and turns a lot to keep your interest. The characters are realistic and somewhat surprising. The resolutions of all the twists are completed to the satisfaction of this reader. Lisa's writing is clean and crisp, with just a touch of romance.
Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC for an honest review.
Wow, what a fast-paced book that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
It seemed like there were two, and even three, plot lines going on at the same time. I was wondering what was going on and how did all of this connect, if they did? It was really interesting and a new way to put a book together.
If you like romantic suspense, with heavy of the suspense, I am sure you will enjoy this book. I recommend you read the whole series so you can fully enjoy Madison’s storyline but you can read this one its own.
A copy of this book was given to me through the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I am reviewing a copy of The Catch through Revell and Netgalley:
If you’re a fan of action and mysteries, you’ll love The Catch!
After a harrowing attempt on a judge's life at the courthouse, Deputy US Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn are tasked with finding a missing woman and an endangered child in connection to the murder of the judge's wife. The case that once seemed straightforward becomes hopelessly tangled when the marshals discover that the woman they are searching for is not who they think she is.
Maddison and Jones soon find themselves on a race to find the woman and child before the man who wants the woman dead discover her location. And in a final showdown that could cost her everything, Madison will come face-to-face with the person who murdered her husband.
I give The Catch five out of five stars!
Happy Readings!
) book was amazing. I've got to read he others in the series. The ending took me by surprise. Totally had it wrong.
Great suspenseful read!!
The Catch, the third and final book in Lisa Harris's US Marshals series, is another thrilling suspense story. The breakneck action begins with flash-bang chaos in the courtroom, resulting in the attempted kidnapping of the judge, and the escape of the prisoner. The incredibly intense, breath-holding action continues to the end as Madison searches for a missing woman and baby and is ultimately confronted again by her husband's killer. Author Lisa Harris unequivocally knows how to keep readers on the edge of their seats as they read of Madison's journey through her grief while fighting for her life and the safety of others. The plot crackles with energy. The characters are realistic and exhibit emotions and actions to which readers can easily relate. While reading, I was rooting for Madison and Jonas, hoping they would catch the bad guys in time and wondering if their second chance at love would ever come to fruition. Through all the action and drama depicted, there is a thread of faith in a God who cares woven into the story, reminding readers that God can be relied on for strength and wisdom in times of stress. Readers who enjoy books filled with action, drama, suspense, and romance will not want to miss The Catch.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author, and a positive review was not required. The opinions are my own.
Another fast paced thriller from Lisa Harris. An intense missing person investigation that sometimes tied up a little too neatly. There is an over-arching story line that continues from the previous novels in this series, which sometimes confused me but overall a fun read.
I have enjoyed this whole series and the on going mystery of what happened to Luke. I love that this book wrapped up the story nicely! Fast paced and suspenseful. A great read!
The Catch, by Lisa Harris, starts off with a bang. US marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn are sent to the courthouse to respond to a threat against a judge. Before they know it shots are fired and the game is on!
Madison is able to get the judge safely removed from this danger; however, she arrives at his home only to find his wife dead. Now these marshals must determine if any connection exists between these two situations!
Things get even more complicated when you learn that the judge has a mistress, as well as, a six-week old son. Once again, Madison and Jonas’s assignment is changed and they must track down the judge’s missing son!
Watch as Madison and Jonas slowly put together the pieces of this puzzle. By the final page of this tale, you will finally learn the truth: who had taken a shot at Madison and who was behind her husband’s death!
After some time apart, Madison James and Jonas Quinn are paired up once again to track down a missing woman and a baby. As the two dive deeper into the case, they find out there is more than meets the eye. To further complicate matters, Madison struggles to regain her memory, find closure with her husband's murder, and figure out whether she is finally ready to open her heart up once again.
This is the third installment in the US Marshals series. I have enjoyed the series thus far and this novel was no exception! It started off with a lot of high-speed action and even when things slowed down I was still interested in the story. Madison and Jonas are a very well written couple and I love that we have gotten to watch their relationship grow and develop over three novels. Most Christian suspense books cram the romance into one novel. By making their story into a series instead of a one and done, I feel like it has made their journey more authentic.
Genuinely enjoyed this book and has been one of the best one’s I’ve read in a while. Minor critiques, but overall I’m giving it a 4.5/5!
The Catch was an excellent book. It was filled with mystery and left you wanting to read the next book. It is a quick easy read that keeps your attention.
