I am extremely sad that this series has come to an end. The US Marshals series by Lisa Harris is a definite favorite of mine. 5 stars for sure! This book, and the entire series, has keep me guessing at what would happen next, surprised at some of the revelations, and curious about how relationships could blossom. I just love Madison and Jonas so much, and I wish we could see a little more of them in the future. But I'm so glad that everything from the previous two books was settled in this story. I couldn't put it down. This is not a book you want to pick up as a standalone. It's definitely meant to be read following the previous two books, and you won't be disappointed!
This was a great conclusion to the US Marshals series. Madison's search to find her husband's killer and the person who shot her comes to an end and she finally has the closure that she was after and is able to move on with her relationship with Jonas. The journey to this isn't without some twists and turns but it is satisfying in the end.
The main case they are working on in this book is also interesting and gripping to read as they are in a race against time to find a woman and baby that are also being hunted by someone less friendly.
The Catch is the final story in the US Marshals series. We have gone on a journey with Deputy US Marshal Madison James as she has grieved for her murdered husband and looked for his killer, all the while being taunted by the killer and even shot in her own home. Only she has had amnesia and cannot remember the killer, only that it is a woman. New evidence surfaces as the retired detective helping her comes up with up with some ideas that help trigger her memories.
On the other hand, cases continue as she and her partner, Deputy US Marshal Jonas Quinn are thrown into a situation at the Seattle Courthouse as a trial is being threatened. They get the judge out only to find out his wife has been murdered. His mistress is accused, and his baby and her sitter disappeared. If this all sounds crazy complicated, it is and that is not the end of it. This is one multilayered story with several things going on at the same time and no clearcut idea of what is going on.
Lisa Harris does a great job of tying up loose ends at the end but not without some misdirection and wrong paths. In the end, Madison has closure, as do other characters, with the chance of a new beginning in the romance department. There is danger, action, surprises, and faith in this story that will appeal to those who enjoy suspense and mystery.
I received a complimentary ARC from Revell Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are mine only.
Crackling with tension, this suspense-filled book had me captivated from beginning to end. The final book in the U.S. Marshals series, this one tied everything together and was a satisfying conclusion to an intriguing set of books. In this latest book, deputy U.S. Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn are tasked to find a missing babysitter and her charge before notorious and ruthless criminals find her and kill her. Ava is definitely on the run and doesn’t know who she can trust. Her cleverness and ability to stay just out of reach of the criminals and the U.S. Marshals contributed to the fast pace and the non-stop action of the story. There were various sub-plots, most notably the fact that Madison is still searching for the person who killed her husband Luke and wants to close the book on that chapter of her life so that she can move forward. The romance is hovering over the surface, just enough to tease and to let the readers know that love is ready to bloom. With a complex plot and a compelling mystery within a mystery, this book was intense and absorbing. The characters were well-rounded and have demonstrated growth and change throughout the series. Nevertheless, this book can be read as a standalone with no difficulty since everything is explained well and all of the loose ends are tied up nicely in a very satisfying conclusion. In the genre of Christian Romantic Suspense, this book includes all that I want to read, with a little romance and a lot of suspense and a totally clean read. The suspense kept me reading. Let’s face it! Who doesn’t want a baby to be found safe and sound? The pleasures that reading this book gave me are innumerable; it was my “Calgon, take me away” book and I enjoyed every minute I spent within its pages. I was captured by the characters and felt as though they became my friends to whom I gave unsolicited advice, trying to help them not to get killed, of course. Fans of romantic suspense will not want to miss out on this conclusion to a fantastically mesmerizing series!

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received a complimentary copy of this book from Revell via Netgalley as part of the Revell Reads Blogger Tour. I also received a hard copy of the book from the author as part of her review team. Finally, I pre-ordered my own copy because I love this author’s books and collect them. With all that being said, I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions expressed are my own. U.S. Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn save a judge’s life during an attempted kidnapping in the courthouse, only to discover the judge’s wife slain in her own home. Although the evidence points to the judge’s mistress as a likely suspect, Madison and Jonas aren’t sure police have identified the right person. Especially when the suspect’s baby and babysitter go missing.
When evidence points to a kidnapping, Madison and Jonas get tasked with bringing them back alive. But the mysterious babysitter has a past their investigation unwittingly revealed, and now killers stalk the woman and baby. Madison and Jonas must find and protect them before the killers find them.
As they work together, Madison realizes her feelings for Jonas have turned from admiration to something more lasting. But until she figures out who killed her husband and continues to threaten her family, Madison doesn’t want to act on her feelings. She doubts she could handle the death of someone else she loves—especially if her job acted as a catalyst for the death.
Why I Loved This Book
Readers can enjoy book three in the U.S. Marshall’s series, The Catch, as a standalone novel or as the exciting conclusion to a series. Harris weaves in the right amount of details to allow readers to enjoy the book either way.
Edge-of-your-seat suspense paired with second chance romance will keep readers turning pages from the minute they sit down to read. Fans of Colleen Coble and Elizabeth Goddard will enjoy this book.
This is the third and final book in this series. This is a Christian romantic suspense but it has almost no romance till the end. There are several different storylines running through this book and a lot of characters. Lots of action and twists and turns
Did not see that coming!!!
Each book in this series has its own storyline, but woven throughout is Madison's search for who killed her husband and is taunting her. This book's storyline was a little jumbled because we had three storylines going at once. It was a bit much. Honestly, as surprising as Madison's conclusion was, it somehow felt like a let-down at the same time. As a story, it was intriguing and kept me engaged but as the conclusion to the series, it wasn't what I expected. I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite. Maybe 3.75 stars??? I would probably read it again, as part of the series.
Many thanks to NetGalley for a copy of the book. All opinions are my own and a favorable review was not required.
The Catch by Lisa Harris is a fast paced race to find a woman in witness protection. Not only is she in danger, but also the witness has a baby in her care. The U.S. Marshalls are trying to find two before a ruthless gang gets to them first. The heroine is a Marshall assigned to the case, and has her own villain chasing her as well. There are several sub plots and a romance to keep the reader turning pages in this intriguing romantic suspense.
*I was given a copy of the book by the publisher and this is my honest opinion.
4.5 stars
In this third book of the series, we find Madison and Jonas reunite during a courthouse shooting, after his time away training for the special operations group. Their future together still uncertain, as Madison continues piecing together more about her husband's killer. There's two cases to solve and an abundance of mystery and suspense through it all. HIghly recommend this book for Christian suspense lovers!

Thanks to the author, Revell, and NetGalley for the ARC of this book. I highly recommend it and our library will be buying it. I've followed this series and this is a perfect conclusion in book 3 of the US Marshals series. While the story is a stand-alone, this series is best read together and in order, as there is a cold case in the background throughout all 3 books and a romance. This book follows Jonas and Madison as Jonas returns from his additional training only to be thrust into protective duty for a judge at the courthouse. Great book, Lisa Harris.
5 stars
Wonderful conclusion to this series! This is book 3 in the US Marshals series and while the story is a stand-alone, this series is best read together and in order, as there is a cold case in the background throughout all 3 books and a romance. If you read this one as a stand-alone, the romance may seem overly quick, but over the 3 books, it really is a slow burn of sorts. This book follows Jonas and Madison as Jonas returns from his additional training only to be thrust into protective duty for a judge at the courthouse. When they get the judge home and find his wife has been murdered, it opens the floodgates on additional cases - unrelated and related to what happened at the courthouse. They must race against the clock to find a missing baby, keep an identity under the radar and figure out what really happened at the judge's house, all the while trying to figure out their personal feelings for each other. This book tied up the ongoing story lines nicely as well as bringing in a whole other fascinating storyline with a lot of twists and turns. There was also a solid faith thread throughout and good themes about grief/moving forward and trusting in God even when you can't see Him. If you enjoy inspirational romantic suspense, this is one I'd definitely recommend. Special thanks to the author and publisher for an advance copy of this book. I was under no obligation to provide a review and the thoughts contained herein are my own.
Jonas has just returned from Special Ops training and is ready to see Madison again. Before that happens, both are called in to protect a judge and courtroom. Becca is texted to go over to Roberts house, where things go awry quickly. Madison is forced to flee the courthouse, with the judge and one other person. When she gets out of that, she and Jonas are sent to look for Becca, whom they find and bring in for questioning. Becca’s main worry and concern is her baby, Easton, who is being cared for by her friend Ava. Both are missing. This story takes off from the beginning, but ramps up the pace at this point. The race to find Ava and Easton, along with Madison still trying to regain her memory from her attack and find out her killed her husband and shot her. Loved this whole series and the two main characters!
The Catch, the third book from the US Marshals series by Lisa Harris, is a good read. I am giving it four and a half stars.
Now this is the third book in this series, but this can be read alone, and you won't be lost, but the others are also great reads!
This is the continuing story of Madison James and Jonas Quinn, and their jobs as U.S. Marshalls, along with a budding romance, if Madison will allow!
There are several plots going on here, along with the hope of finally finding whom is attacking Madison, and who killed her husband Luke, but even when answers come and we still have so much action going on, and sometimes things are not what they seem. Be prepared for more!
This is Christian Suspense at its finest!
I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Revell, and was not required to give a positive review.
This story was thrilling as it took the reader on a ride along with the Marshalls, Madison and Jonas, as they seek to solve a crime.
A great suspense novel for me ensures that I don't know how the story will turn out and this one definitely kept me guessing as to how it would all turn out.
My review of the Chase, #2 in the US Marshalls series https://www.blogger.com/u/1/blog/post/edit/8389805168206511453/3255208939828161674
Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.
This is the third and final book in the US Marshals series. It could be read as a standalone, but you’ll get a richer experience by reading all three books.
I was glued to this action-packed thriller as Madison and partner Jonas try to unravel a mystery surrounding an attempt on a Judge’s life. I was amazed at the intricate web this author weaves. Nothing is cut and dry, and/or predictable. What starts out looking like a simple case soon explodes into something very unexpected.
I liked how the author gives the reader a front row seat to this young girl’s drama and how the main characters are lured into a situation they never saw coming. Then the twists and turns begin, as things are not what they appear. I loved the satisfying ending where readers finally get to know who has been stacking Madison and killed her husband.
Many characters prove redeemable, while others are bad to the bone. I couldn’t put this inspirational thriller down until I had gathered all the puzzle pieces, attempting to know who done it in the end; there are many suspects and other mysteries that need to be solved before the big reveal.
This book is a romantic suspense novel to get lost in and one that would be great for your next book club pick. There is so much to discuss. The Catch, is a story with believable characters, a splash of romantic, that has more turns, twists, and sudden stops. What’s not to like?

I really enjoyed this book it was well written with a compelling storyline and well developed, enaging characters. It was fast paced, twsity and unpredictable. I was gripped and couldn't put it down.
"The Catch" is the third book in Lisa Harris' series "US Marshals." This series has centered on US Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn. Madison is still haunted by her husband's murder and trying to figure out who almost killed her as well. Jonas is trying to show her that he loves her without pushing her. While navigating their own romantic feelings, they are also trying to solve a case in which a woman and child go missing.
Harris does a fantastic job of writing mystery/thriller components, but the romance was a little lacking. Throughout this whole series, Madison and Jonas are in love, but rarely talk about their feelings or have any physical contact. I had hoped for a little more romance. Overall, this was a good series and I enjoyed reading this book as a conclusion to this series. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
I loved this book! It was nice to see some closure for Madison.
This is a page turner. Full of suspense and clues to follow.
Aside from Madison’s personal life, murder, kidnapping, bribery, and witness protection keep Madison, Jonas, and their Federal Marshal group hopping to try and catch the true perpetrators.
The characters are well developed and the procedures used by both criminals and law enforcement are accurate and well written.
While there are several storylines to follow, they are well woven together.
madison and jones are both us marshall's assinged to protect a judge . but somehow the bad guys get into the court room and shoot, then they find out the judges wife was killed and a baby is taken. can the two cases be connected this is a fast paced story that will grub you at the start and not let go till the end. if you like fast paced suspense with some romance you will want to read this story revitting to the end. i was given a copy of the book but this is an honest review
