Midwife Georgie has long thought she would never have a child of her own. With the arrival of new doctor at her workplace she is unexpectedly able to fulfill her dreams of motherhood in the arms of a caring partner.

My biggest complaint about this book, besides some seriously outdated medical information, was the way the male lead treated the female lead. She is a midwife. Presumably, she is competent at her job and knowledgeable about obstetrics. And yet, throughout the book she is treated otherwise.

There are some touching moments between the tow main characters, but overall this wasn't the book for me.

Terrific and emotional book with two people who are hurting due to baby issues. Georgie is a midwife who loves her job but struggles with infertility, which drove her and her partner apart. Every baby she helps into the world is a joy but also a painful reminder of what she'll never have. The book opens as she faces a complicated case. The department's new consultant joins her to save mother and child, though not without a rocky start between them. Relief over a successful birth has them taking comfort in a passionate night together, followed by regrets over what they did. They agree to return to a professional relationship.

Though Dan and Georgie try to stick to their intentions, they find a deep friendship developing between them. Shared meals and easy conversation create a connection neither can deny. They also note that their attraction is still there, though neither wants a relationship. Resistance isn't easy, but they manage. Then Georgie found herself unexpectedly pregnant. Shocked but thrilled to have her dream come true, she wastes no time telling Dan of his impending fatherhood. I ached for Dan, for whom the news brought up terrible memories. During medical school, his girlfriend became pregnant. In a tragic series of events, both she and the baby die, and Dan blames himself. Being responsible for another pregnancy is his worst nightmare.

Once the initial shock is past, Dan and Georgie must learn to work together. Dan is very protective of her, to the point of "helicoptering" at times. Georgie is very independent and often butts heads with Dan over his hovering. I loved their honesty in communicating their feelings and expectations, preventing miscommunications and resentment. When Georgie discovered she was having twins, everything changed. I loved seeing her learn to accept and appreciate Dan's help, while Dan learned to trust Georgie's instincts and judgment. Over the following months, I loved seeing them grow closer. Georgie was the first to suspect her feelings, while Dan tried to ignore his for a long time.

As the pregnancy progressed, complications arose. I ached for Georgie and Dan, whose fears were never far from their minds. I loved the close-knit Labor and Delivery unit and how they all watched out for Georgie. There's a great scene where Dan, who serves as a mentor for a new young doctor, Patrick, is helped through his own crisis by that same doctor. I was on the edge of my seat as they fought for the lives of the babies. I loved the ending and seeing how Georgie and Dan finally admitted their feelings for each other.

The medical details used in the story happen organically, imparting information without me feeling like I'm sitting in a class. I loved the feeling of realism they added and how the worry helped bring Dan and Georgie closer together. I also loved seeing characters from earlier books in the series. It's always good to catch up with previous couples.

The Midwife's Miracle Twins was a wonderful read. I received the ARC of this book and am glad to write a review for a truly engaging story. Dan and Georgie's story has a few unexpected twists and turns, It was great to see how both Georgie and Dan deal with unexpected news. Georgie believes she can't conceive after trying for years with her former husband and Dan is still dealing with the loss of his first child. All of this is set against the backdrop of them working together at the hospital and helping others deliver their children. The coworkers and friends of Georgie and Dan each have their own unique stories which adds to the overall wonderfulness of the book. This is a book lovers of medical stories with a little romance thrown in will enjoy. I highly recommend it.

This is a Medical Romance, and this is part of the Yoxburgh Park Hospital series. I really loved this book. The characters where so will done. They where getting some hard things while learning to love each other. This book does take place in the UK, so some of the medical things are called different name then what we do in the USA. I could still tell what they where talking about. I have twin boys and during my pregnancy was so stressful, so I could put myself in their shoes. This book touched my heart so much. I love how Dan worked so hard to take care of Georgie through out this book. I also have to add I really love the cover of this book because it is just so cute. This book was a sweet quick read. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Harlequin Medical Romance) or author (Caroline Anderson) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

I found The Midwife’s Miracle Twins to be a very sweet read with endearing characters.
Lots of medical jargon which was interesting but seemed a bit much to me. Others may like the medical aspect. After a bit, I just skimmed parts. That doesn’t mean I did not like this book, I did like it.
The main characters are Georgie, who is a midwife and Dan, who is a doctor. After a particularly emotional day at work, they end up spending the night together.
An unexpected pregnancy and they barely know each other….can they find a way to come together and make this work?
As Georgie and Dan navigate this unexpected blessing, they forge a strong friendship.
All in all, this was a enjoyable read that I highly recommend
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my ow.

First, I want to thank Caroline Anderson, Harlequin Medical Romance and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

Oh Caroline Anderson your latest book The Midwifes Miracle Twins gave me all the feels, goosebumps, pulled on my heart strings, made me smile and tear up as well! This book touched my heart on so many different levels! It is a book of hope, faith, second chances and miracles. It is definitely a book you will want to add to your TBR list for next year!

I fell head over heels in love with this beautiful cover design! Then again how could you not fall in love with the two precious babies on the cover! Amazing job whomever designed this cover!

This book is dedicated to Carol who fed Caroline Cake and helped her keep her her midwife on the straight and narrow, and to John for his endless patience.

If you have followed my reviews in the past you know that I love medical themed books with a passion! This book I totally fell in love with for so many different reasons. I have a soft spot for babies especially in the NICU (My niece was born at 25 weeks and in the NICU for 106 days).

I appreciated the research and how Caroline educated her readers on many medical topics in this book.

Dan and Georgie’s storyline was beautifully written! I loved seeing how their storyline evolved into something so special.

My heart went out to so many in this book as there was past heartbreak/heartache. Nobody should have to go through what some of the characters went through.

After a difficult day at work, midwife Georgie spends the night with her new colleague Dan with unexpected consequences.

This was a short, sweet read about two very likable characters. Both Georgie and Dan have issues surrounding the bearing of babies, as Georgie has struggled with infertility and Dan's ex-partner and child died in childbirth. For these reasons, Georgie's pregnancy is both exciting and terrifying to them. I liked the realistic way in which the characters navigated their relationship while being drawn to one another.

I think the main issue I had with this book was that it did not feel all that romantic. The characters were sweet with one another and I definitely felt that they were a good fit for each other, but there wasn't much in the way of sizzling chemistry that the reader gets to see on the page. Perhaps it wasn't that kind of book.

Overall, an enjoyable read with an engaging style that would appeal to even those who are not readers of medical romances.

This is Dan and Georgie’s story. She is a midwife and he’s an obstetrician in the hospital. They have a one night stand. It has consequences. Georgie is pregnant with a rare type of twins. She can still work but is monitored closely. During the pregnancy they have to work together and live together. This book was well written. I will read more of this author’s books.
