This book was interesting and very well-written. I would likely want to read more from this author and will recommend this to friends.

I LOVED this book. It was fun and different and THANK GOD that Toledo was brought back around because I spent the whole book wondering how weird it was that it was such a big deal and then got dropped.

I will say though- there is zero chance that Houston had a direct flight to Toledo. Nowhere has a direct flight to Toledo.

I loved all the characters. I loved it all. I loved the POV and telling the story way after the fact. It was just really fun and I wish that family would adopt me too.

Hannah’s a bodyguard and Jack’s a famous actor who left the limelight after an accident took the life of his brother. He’s been estranged from his family, but his mother is sick so he comes home to help her. His third brother doesn’t want him around and his celebrity stalker wants him too much. Hannah poses as his girlfriend when they are with his family. All the while Hannah and Jack are getting closer. Jack has a lot to work through with his family and Hannah has a vile ex who is also a co-worker working Jack’s case.

Katherine’s writing is so beautiful. I loved the banter between Jack and Hannah, the surprises along the way, and the happy ending. A new favorite for sure!

This was just what I needed to get over the last two star books I read. It had everything I love about a romance. Kept my interest and I didn’t want to stop reading it. It was a tad predictable but that didn’t bother me. I love a good fake dating storyline.

This story was so darn cute!

I loved this gender-swapped Body guard tale. Typically in bodyguard tropes the male is the bodyguard rescuing a lady damsel, but I enjoyed this spin on the trope!

I’m a sucker for Celebrity trope romances as well, I loved Jack’s family and I loved that we had some tension and things to work out and life for the celebrity wasn’t rainbows and sunshine.

There wasn’t spice, but the story was cute and I so enjoyed the strong female protagonist and sweet male MC!

This is my second Katherine Center book and I was reminded again why I absolutely love her books! The witty banter, the romance, the character development, and her writing style all make for wonderful books! She will continue to be an automatic purchase author for me. While I did really enjoy this book, I do feel like some elements to it weren't necessary for the overall story. I enjoyed them still, but I can also see where they could be taken out and not affect the overall book. All in all, a great read! What’s not to love in a romance with a savvy smart heroine, a moody celebrity hero, a forced stay at his parents' ranch, and a fake relationship trope (because she needs to offer him protection).

This was a delightful, meaningful read about giving and accepting love. It left me with that warm and gooey feeling after I finished reading.

One of those books I wish I could start all over again, open the page and read from scratch, just to repeat the experience! Short take: great heroine, fantastic read.

The Bodyguard is a fun and cute story. The storyline seemed a bit predictable but the personalities of the characters kept it interesting. The author made quick work of making sure you felt compassion towards the characters. It was an easy read for those of us who love the fake dating trope.

Katherine Center's THE BODYGUARD is a sweet romance about Hannah, and Executive Protection Agent (a bodyguard) and the man she's tasked to protect: mega-celebrity Jack Stapleton. Their relationship is a working one, but it's quickly clear that Jack doesn't want his family to know he has a stalker and a need for a bodyguard, so of course they have to fake a romantic relationship. It doesn't take long for the lines between professional and personal to blur. There's a lot of heart and humor in this story.

What a wonderful romantical comedy! Center has written a fun, page turning, rom com. I highly recommend. You will sit down, escape, and before you know it, you will be at the end!

Hannah works for a company as a bodyguard. Sure, she loves her job and gives it her all. However, when her mother passes away and her boyfriend leaves her, she has a hard time. Hannah requests a job assignment in another country.

Her boss, Glenn, tells her that she is going to have to work hard to get that assignment in another country. In the meantime, she is assigned to protect Jack Stapleton, a well known celebrity. To make matters worse, she has to pretend to be his girlfriend while protecting him at his family's ranch in Texas.

Hannah finds herself protecting Jack from stalkers while pretending to be his girlfriend. Not only, does she fall in love with him but his family as well. Hannah is in way over her head and has to find a way out.

This book is the perfect romantic comedy! I highly recommend it!

The Bodyguard is my first Katherine Center novel and definitely won't be my last. To start, The Bodyguard was NOT who I was expecting! The story was cute and light yet fast paced and exciting. And the story wrapped up neatly with an ending I found satisfying. It was exactly what I was looking for to escape over my summer break.

When you first hear of a bodyguard-celebrity romance, your initial reaction may be "old news" ...but what if the celebrity were a male heartthrob actor and the bodyguard were a petite female agent who was recently dumper by her coworker? SIGN ME THE HECK UP.

Hannah Brooks may not look like she could kill you, but she definitely could. Unfortunately, it would be against the law to kill her smarmy ex-boyfriend and unfortunate coworker. Enter the handsome and aggressively famous Jack Stapleton, who not only needs protecting from a stalker, but needs it done incognito while he's staying at his family's ranch. Hannah is forced into playing faux-girlfriend, a job which hits a little too close to home. But a man as celebrated as Jack could never be into her, right? ...right?

I just adored the premise of this book, and it delivered what it sold. I already want to read it again. It has a lot of interesting, fun, and zany elements, and I'm here for all of them. Katherine Center writes extremely emotional novels, and this--while hard-hitting, for sure--is a bit more light-hearted than her traditional fare, which I personally appreciate.

This was such a cute feel good book. It had two of my faves. Famous person and regular person dating AND fake dating!!

Katherine Center writes such believable characters. I think that I have laughed and cried with the main character in all her books. My most recent read was #thebodyguard and it did not disappoint. If you want a lighthearted, quick read, this is it!

This was such a fun read, I like that the girl was the bodyguard. This was a fun read, I laughed out loud a ton. Also all the little gestures of love was just so sweet.

Here's the thing you have to know going into this book. It's a little bit ridiculous. BUT it's also really great. I loved the main characters, and the side characters. I found the plot a little odd but not so odd I couldn't get over it. There were a lot of funny moments and the romance was great. I loved that this one didn't try to crush my heart like some of the authors other books but still had a few moments of tugging on the heart strings. I would say this one is definitely worth checking out!

A feel good rom com that will actually make you LAUGH! I love a good rom com but sometimes they are more cutesy or swoony (not a word?) than funny. It just felt so refreshing to read a wholesome rom com with both depth and humor. I am sure many of you have read close proximity rom coms. But How many are about a Hollywood sweetheart falling for his female bodyguard? Only this one! I loved the unconventional premise of the story. And it was not just unique but charming. The characters are not perfect and each one is dealing with a personal struggle which just made them more likable.

Definitely one of my favorite rom coms so far this year.

This was so wonderful that I ended and wanted to start re-reading it again. Looking for a sweet love story? Then you must pick this one up.

I saw the cover and requested it without reading the synopsis - I fell like this is true with every book I request on NetGalley and this one is no different. 🙃
So I was very surprised when I started reading it and the female was the bodyguard - GO GIRL! 💪🏻
Overall I really liked the book Ithought it was really well written, I liked the narration and thought it had some funny moments and swoony moments! I also really liked all the characters especially the Stapleton family!

I think I read it at the perfect time and definitely recommend!
