This was a really sweet story about rebuilding from scratch later in life. The characters are all wonderful and easy to love. The setting is quaint and dreamy. It's a nice, comfortable read.
Lucy Checks In was such an interesting read. I honestly thought it was going to be a light, fun read, and it was, but it was also so much more than that. I truly felt for Lucy and the situation she was dealt. I wanted her to succeed so badly and felt myself cheering her on. I loved the relationship she had with Bing and how it was a slow burn. The only thing I disliked about this book was that I felt like it ended a little abruptly.
Set in France, this book has me wishing that i was eating a croissant while reading it. Lucy was an enjoyable character along with all the people involved in the hotel. The book was slightly rushed and I feel like I didn't really get to settle into the story and just skimmed all the events. I wanted to learn more about her relationships and the ending left me wanting to know more. A good read about taking a chance and hard work.
I really wanted to love this book. The description seemed right up my alley, but for some reason I just wasn’t able to immerse myself in it or fall in love with the characters. The ending was very sweet, but it did feel a little rushed. I would love to have had more time with the twins and their emotions toward the end of the book! It was a good story, just not the perfect book for me.
This book was a delight! I really enjoyed this story and cast of characters; the plot was definitely predictable, in a Hallmark movie sort of way, but that didn't take away from how much fun it was. Lucy's character had depth and I enjoyed the exploration of her fears and self-doubt after the dramatic ending of her last relationship.
This is a beautiful story of the family we make for ourselves, and the beautiful setting in France certainly added a nice touch.
St. Martin's Griffin,

Mini Review:
There were so many things about this book that I absolutely adored:
The perfect romance story, the hilarious situations, the unique plot line, and the way it kept me feeling and swooning are my top reasons for loving it!
Dee Ernst knows just how to capture the attention of her readers and hold them there till the amazing end.
Any time I had to put the book down, I was thinking about it, because it's just that good!
A story that was so beautiful, so well done, and I just couldn’t get enough.
I also loved how much growth your characters went through in this book.
It’s so witty and fresh, and written so beautifully.
From the beginning of this book, I immediately fell in love with Nora Hamilton.
The main character and sub-characters somehow also played their role in a beautiful way too, no drama, not too much of anything. It was just nice and connected.
Romance Lovers are going to fly to get their hands on this book.
And when they do its going to be a big hit!
Thank You again to the amazing Publisher, NetGalley and Dee for this outstanding romance ebook!
Lucy Checks In was a beautiful book. I wasn’t sure what to expect going into it but I was pleasantly surprised with how the book was written and overall executed.
At 49, Lucy Giannetti finds herself uprooting her life and career while moving to Rennes, France to take on a new role as manager at the Hotel Paradis. It was just two years earlier that she was running one of the most glamorous and upscale hotels in NYC. After mixing business with pleasure though, she was left jobless with no money.
While in France she finds herself struggling with who she is and what exactly she wants to get out of life. Not to mention being given the task of turning this run down hotel into a bustling tourist attraction, she feels overwhelmed and slightly discouraged.
Lucy Checks In is a terrific example in that it’s never too late to chase after your dreams and make a name for yourself. No matter how old you are, or what stage of life you are in. If you are passionate about something and are willing to put in the work, you can make the impossible possible. Lucy Checks In is all about finding love, friendship and creating a new home for herself where she least expected to find one.
I cannot wait for this book to be released!
