I loved this devotional! Kel Mitchell has crafted a 90 day journey full of wisdom, wit, and spiritual insight. I will admit that I requested this book from NetGalley and the publisher, solely based on my knowledge of Kel Mitchell from his goofy presence on my TV years ago. I was pleasantly surprised by the depths of spirituality, and would gladly recommend this book as a gift, especially for a teenager or young adult being confirmed or baptized.
I really enjoyed this book by Kel Mitchell. It was very well written and interesting. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.
Blessed Mode is a devotional of sorts by Kel Mitchell that touches on topics such as sharing the gifts/blessings you have and the levelling up power of faith.
The book was a quick read and the way it was written was to ensure that you can get your daily work out on the go too. I loved the fact that each section starts with a bible verse. I was expecting this to be a day by day way given that the book title shares that it’ll be a 90-day journey.
However I loved it and I think it will make a perfect gift . A huge thanks to Thomas Nelson for a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest opinion.
I was really excited when I saw this title come onto NetGalley. I’ve always liked the work Kel Mitchell has been involved in, and it was interesting to see him come forward with more information around his faith.
The book is a really quick read, the format is perfect for getting out the bite-sized morsels of wisdom. I also like the idea of starting each section with a bible verse.
He also keeps bringing things back to steps you can take in your life, things he’s done or things to think about as you move forward in leveling up your life.
I thought this book was going to be a bit more spiritual than religious, but I was incorrect. So one word of caution for those who are not Christian, this does bring back a lot to the Bible and to Christian thinking.
I also expected this to be a day by day way to get started, given that the book title shares that it’ll be a 90-day journey. As far as I could tell with the ARC, things weren’t labeled by day, but the end congratulates you for making it through the 90 days. So that piece left me a bit confused.
All in all, a good, heartwarming read that I think a lot of people can find some direction in.
This book based on a really cool premise that will definitely appeal to gamers. It's aimed at young adults. Each day provides bite sized devotions with a verse and something that they can do to apply the lesson of the day in a practical way.
I got this for free in exchange for an honest review. This is the kind of book I would definitely recommend for someone in their 20s. It's written at the right level with examples that are relatable. The author infuses himself into the book and that will appeal to fans of his but I also think it adds to the personality of the book, making it more interesting. Definitely worth a read.
