I always appreciate a book with "alternative" perspectives -- in this case, the experience of someone trying to fit within the whitewashed yoga world, and finding their own power outside of it. At times the book was a little too dense, leaning heavily on personal accounts, but ultimately I enjoyed this one and recommend it to others who want to feel empowered to be true..

This was an interesting and fascinating book. Part memoir, part self help, and written by a trans man, this book is designed to help those who don't fit in with the common yoga becky. I really enjoyed the points made in this book, but I felt that some of it was a little too wordy or unnecessary. However the overall book was enjoyable and the practice sections were great.
