I picked this one up because I am part of a roller derby league and am always on the lookout for books that feature roller derby so I was a bit disappointed that a book with that cover was not more derbycentric. The story was decent. I had not read the first book but I felt I understood what had happened in that book and how it shaped the characters in this one. I was never invested in any of the characters as they all felt like characters I have met before living through somewhat predictable experiences.
