Ari and Eph have been friends since they were seven. Life isn’t easy for either of them. Ari suffers from crippling anxiety and Eph lost both arms as a baby. They form a beautiful friendship that sees them through their school years but what happens when one feels more than the other when they’ve become so dependent on each other.
This is Nissa Harlow’s first novel and it is great. I loved her writing and the story had me feeling all my teenage angst. The first 50% of the book feels like a completely different book to the second thanks to a plot twist. Something I didn’t see coming and I’m not sure I’m happy about that. I think the story would have developed better if we had some inkling of what was coming rather than it feeling like the genre suddenly changed. This may be my fault, I didn’t read the description and thought it was YA and didn’t expect the fantasy.
I really really enjoyed this book and am definitely looking forward to what the author comes up with next.

I've posted this review on Goodreads aswell!
I finished this book within two days which is crazy cause never before.😲 From the start of the book, I was hooked. This is a very interesting, light and short read that can be read in one sitting but alas, I had school. It's a type of book that you can read to take a break from all of those tension filled books and it's an interesting read. Ari, the MC, has anxiety and it was done very well. Having anxiety myself I related a lot with Ari which was why I found the book great. I don't really like misunderstandings in relationships but because Ari had anxiety and she was an over-thinker I understamid where it all was coming from. Though this book was contemporary, a genre I rarely read, with a bit of fantasy I still enjoyed it. I loved the representations! I liked this book a lot and hope you do too!
