An interesting book on the role the relics played in the Medieval Europe. Two main characters, one on a trail of a relic and the other on a journey back from a crusade, discover more than they had anticipated when embarking on their journeys. The Author vividly portrays the life in a monastery and I enjoyed Cecilie's quest most. The journey becomes a kind of a pilgrimage for both Cecilie and Henri. They are both the strongest assets, with their doubts and hopes.
