An enjoyable story about two sisters who discover an injured man in their field whom they bring home and nurse back to health. Unbeknownst to them, the man is a Count returning from war. a very well-written and enjoyable story.
Thank you Jeannette Collins, Wild Rose Press and NetGalley for allowing me an advance copy for my honest feedback.

Hello - I reviewed this title with Whispering Stories book blog. All of the spots will be under those accounts (Amazon, Goodreads, Twitter)

Four stars

I was in the mood for a romance this time around and Found Christmas was a wonderful choice.

Jeanette Collins has a skill for writing sweet characters. Every person in this book was just adorable, even the rake, Adrian. It didn’t matter what they were doing, they were still adorable. The author wove in a silly dog too. Woof is a fun side element I found so enjoyable.

Bia and her sister, Letty find a man near death in the snow outside their cottage. He has no identification and since the siblings are new to the area, they have no idea who the man is.

There were lots of fun scenes to follow after this opening act. Letty is the younger of the two girls and a writer. She wants to do many daring and somewhat scandalous things to get materials for her novels. So fun!

The story rolls along and there is a touch of mystery. I liked that story arc and wish it had been a bigger part of the overall plot.

Found Christmas made me smile. I now hope to read more from this author.

I’d like to suggest a few things:
Change the title of the book to one that does not reference Christmas. Very, if any mentions of the holiday were in the story.

Change the cover to a sweet Victorian themed picture.

The author should attempt juvenile fiction. I think she’d be great at it.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read “Found Christmas “ by Jeanette Collins. A charming story of two poor sisters that save a man in their field. The man is a count returning from the war. Almost like a Cinderella feel good story. Well written and a joy to read during this season. I enjoyed it!

Found Christmas is a fanciful romance involving an almost dead hero saved by two sisters who have recently inherited the cottage in which they are staying.. Adrian has been shot and left for dead when Bia and Letty find him in the snow. We know immediately that someone wants him gone. As Bia and Adrian fall in love while he heals, sisters Bia and Letty have no idea he is the wealthy earl on the hill, nor does he tell them.

Adrian worries their relationship will change should he tell them he is the wealthy earl. He knows his brother has died mysteriously and someone is trying to ensure he is dead, too. Once Bia finds out who he is, Adrian’s worry comes true. – she does not trust him or his wealth. It does not change the fact they care deeply for each other. Adrian just has to convince her.

Although this timeline is quick in this tale, it feels like a slow build up for their love as Adrian and his uncle try to unravel the mystery of who is killing the Earls of Marlowe. Little sister, Letty is a hoot. Nothing stops her inquisitiveness as she considers herself a writer collecting ‘details’ needed for her stories. Adrian and his uncle, a duke, become her best leads for ‘leading men.’ Gazing upon the ‘male form’ is just more information for her stories.

Found Christmas by Jeanette Collins is a delightful light-hearted, ‘who dun it’ romance for Christmas. Collins is new to me and I look forward to more of her writings. Thank you, NetGalley for sharing this book in exchange for an honest review.
