This is an informative and easy to read book about Ayurveda. I think it's great for another, like myself who doesn't know what Ayurveda is.
I really enjoyed this book, simple to understand. The illustrations were beautiful. It's a great introduction to Ayurveda
Thank you Quatro and Netgalley for an ARC.
A lovely, beautifully illustrated book on Ayurveda. Perfect for those who don’t know a lot about Ayurveda and would like to learn some of the basic foundations of this philosophy.
If interested the Monica Bloom also has a webpage with more information.
This was an enjoyable and easy to read book and would be a lovely gift.
I enjoyed this book. The scope for learning about Ayurveda is good for someone who knows very little about it It’s beautifully presented too.
I found this a bit short and sweet, but it is an excellent introduction to ayurveda. Here Monica Bloom explains the 'doshas' (body types), how to tell which one you are, and how to organise your health and routine accordingly, so that you can improve balance and vitality. She also emphasizes the importance of intuition and moderation. I especially liked her discussion about getting rid of calories and how to decide what foods are right for you. She also writes about the importance of meditation.
The beautiful pictures help to make this a lovely book.
I received this free ebook from NetGalley in return for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book, simple to understand and loved the illustrations too.
Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
This was a very beautiful book with some interesting information and handy tips. I found it was very high-level on the subject and really just skims the surface; a good introductory read but not a lot of substance to it. The number of exclamation marks in the writing made it seems like I was reading a blog post by a teenager rather than a book, so it was a fast read that I'm not sure I would re-read or recommend.
A lovely introduction to ayurveda. Everything is explained, it is easy to understand, and gives the reader a good start to life according to the principles of ayurveda. If you are not familiar with the subject, but interested in it, I would highly recommend this boo to start your journey. It is also a good reminder, back to the basics, for people who are familiar with ayurveda.
Firstly, this book is just so beautiful to look at. The illustrations are just perfect (had so many tattoo inspirational ideas from the illustrations)
Secondly, the book is super informative! I learnt so much! I'm still not 100% which category of the Dosha I fit in to.
This book looks a variety of topics that come under the overall idea of Ayurveda, and it's something that has always fascinated me. After reading this book, I'm even more intrigued.
I urge anyone that is open to new spiritual practices to read this! Eye-opening!
