Perfect book for the holiday season! It is the final book in the series "All I Want for Christmas" by Chelsea Bobulski.
It’s coming up on the holidays again and it really got me wanting to read another super cute Christmas book!
I truly enjoy this author and her adorable stories. They have such a warm fuzzy Christmas/romance feel that makes you all gooey inside!
LOVED it! The best Holiday novel I have read in a while. It's the fourth book in the series but it works as its own in case you read this one before the others. I related to Savannah top notch, you will fall in love with her. She proves that you can find your own happiness when the ones around you have set the course of what life is expected to be.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of All I Want for Christmas is the Girl Who Can’t Love in exchange for an honest review!
This is the fourth instalment in the All I Want For Christmas series. Overall, I enjoyed these books and had a fun experience reading them. There were things that I really liked in this book and things that I wasn’t sold on. Firstly, Jordan, Savannah’s love interest, was perfectly written. I fell in love with that character from the first moment he stepped into Savannah’s life. He was completely charming, caring and he was a complete catch. I found myself getting frustrated with Savannah more and more as she continuously pushed Jordan away because of her outlook on love and her belief that it doesn’t exist. Apart from this, I thought Savannah was a great character. She was extremely relatable and funny, and it was cool to see someone with a learning disability get recognition as a main character. It truly seemed as if both of these characters would do anything for one another, and we see this when Savannah comes to Jordan’s aid at the dig site during the storm. This scene was super intense and I think the author did a great job of creating suspense on whether or not the Jordan would find the hidden love letters and make it out to tell the tale.
I’ve always loved how the books in this series cross over and feature some of the characters we’ve seen before. I did read these four in order, but I liked how each of the books were independent enough that they can be read out of order and the story doesn’t necessarily get impacted. I think that this fourth book was very cute and I loved seeing how the two main characters interacted with each other throughout the story, whether meeting for study sessions at the library or working together at the dig site.
I’m happy to have read each of these stories and would recommend them to fans of young adult small town romance novels. I appreciated that each of these stories were fairly short and easy to get through. I would definitely read more content from this author in the future!
Super cute, with the coziest of vibes. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and read it at the best of times because I went to my church's Christmas eve service and we lit the candles and sang silent night. Then I came home and read this book; the characters were in the same situation, which was very familiar to me. I love this whole series and I highly recommend it.
📖My Thoughts📖
Talk about a book that completely tugs on your heartstrings! This is the third book I’ve read in this series (a little out of order, but it’s not a huge deal) and I absolutely loved it just as much as the other two! This one was a bit deeper than the others that I read, which made me love it that much more. I am willing to bet that everyone is afraid to fall in love, but most are not at a level of fear that causes them to push it away completely. Some people are so scared, they push it away. Seeing Savannah’s journey through a life of pain and fear and how she completely puts up that wall to prevent her from falling in love and getting hurt, was so heartbreaking. I felt like the author did a fantastic job at portraying who Savannah was and why she held the barriers that she did. I think my favorite part about this book was that there was a love story that wasn’t the main storyline, that inadvertently played a huge role in the relationship between the two main characters. This is a must read!
Thank you Netgalley, Chelsea Bobulski and Wise Wolf Books for the opportunity to read and review this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
I loved this entire series! Downloaded prior to having Chelsea as a guest on my podcast. These are the perfect Christmas reads filled with all the Christmas magic! Can't wait to read more from Chelsea!
Book 4 in an interconnected series of contemporary young adult romance novels with a Christmas theme. Each novel highlights the importance of understanding yourself when entering a relationship, having a supportive circle of people in your life, and that true love is bringing out the best in each partner.
Savannah has made it to the prestigious William & Mary campus, determined to create a successful future for herself, one based on logic and science and not tainted by the "love curse" that the rest of the women in their family blames for any problems. But the independent Savannah soon finds that building her future may require relying on others. Enter Jordan, a successful upperclassman similarly driven to be a world-renowned historian. Their paths keep crossing just when Savannah needs help the most and Jordan's kindness surprises and warms her. As they work together on an archeological site from the Revolutionary War, a love-story from the past may light the way towards a new love based on friendship and mutual respect. But can Savannah and Jordan trust each enough to try? Highly recommended for ages 12 and up.
I really love Christmas romcoms and this one definitely did not disappoint. I am looking forward to reading more Chelsea Bobulski!
This book wasn't what I expected. When I read the summary, I knew it was the kind of story I'd like. It was better than I expected within the first few pages. I've never read a book by this author before, but it won't be my last. It was the complexity of her writing, the character development, and the plotline that kept me interested.
In the first chapter, I was sucked into the world of Savannah, Jordan, and the curse, and I also got sucked into the story of William and Bex, told entirely through letters. The scenes felt like they were from a movie, so well described it was like I was right there with them.
The only mistake I made was reading this one first instead of the four before it. Nevertheless, it works as a standalone as well and I can easily go back and read the older ones.
If you're looking for a book you can sit down and read by the fire with a cup of cocoa and a blanket, then this is for you.
You need to read it.
I am a sucker anything Christmas themed and romance. The description made me really want to read this book. I just couldn't get into this book. It is written great from the chapters I've read but just not my cup of tea. Thanks so much to NetGalley and Wise Wolf Books for the ARC!
I would rate this 3.5 stars because it was a cute romance story where the main character doesn't believe in falling in love in that not everyone would experience it in this time. I personally think that the writing style was the best part of the book but the character development could've been better executed.
I loved this YA Christmas romance! I actually love the whole series. I wish there were more like it. The way Jordan helps Savannah while she stars college just melted my heart!
I just want you to let me be a part of them". Ugh! Can I have my own Jordan, too?
So raw and so sweet, I love how the author made the story. How can you convince someone someone who don't believe in love that it real and true? I love the flow of the story and with a touch of historical romance of William and Bex, how can everything so good and made my hearts melt as I read the end to the book.
I will definitely recommend it to my fellow readers. This is such a good read for me and I hope others will love it too.
This book, though mostly not set during the holidays, still has the special magic that only the holiday season can bring. It is an imaginative coming-of-age story and will definitely warm your heart.
Savannah meets Jordan at the start of the semester when he offers to help her carry her mattress to her dorm room. In the days following move in, they keep running into each other and before long a friendship develops, but Jordan wants more. However, Savannah is convinced that true love does not exist. She thinks love is just a primitive response to mating. This is only reinforced by her mother and grandmother’s experiences.
Jordan is not without wanting to put off love because his career goals come first. However, as the semester progresses, Jordan and Savannah are drawn to each other. They just seem to click and Jordan becomes determined to prove to Savannah that true love does exist. When they find a collection of letters from the revolutionary war between a solider and the woman he loved, Jorden uses this as the opportunity to prove the existence of true love. The question is. will this be enough to prove to Savannah that true love exists?
The characters in this story were fabulous. They are genuine and the dialog was what I would expect from young adults. I liked how the author used Savannah’s challenges with empathy. Because Savannah is challenged, the author was able to highlight how strong and intelligent she is, with a fierceness about her that many her age don’t have.
I also loved that the tension slowly built in the story and there could not have been a better setting for this book. The historical element of the letters added a nice layer to the story and helped moved the plot along. I wanted to find out what happened to everyone and it had me rushing to finish.
This book was charming, and had a strong feel-good vibe. I highly recommend it to lovers of YA and romance. It is not only a great holiday read, but would make a great beach read because a lot of the book takes place outside of the holidays.
I received a free copy from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for my honest review.
I had no clue this was part of a series, but even so, this was an amazing book. Slow burn, boy falls first, and a little bit of history to keep you intrigued. The characters are lovable; their romance is palpable. I will most definitely be picking up this entire series. A must read Holiday book that begs for you to cozy up with it and some hot cocoa by the fire.
Another cute one in this series!! I love the characters this author brings to life. They’re always spot on to high school students without them being overly annoying.
AMAZING. only word to describe this book. i loved the little bit of history involved and i love books where the guy falls first. super cute holiday romance and absolutely amazing. definitely a need to read if you love romance.
Such a cute installment of a series that will stay with me. Sweet, cute. Hope this series continues
Is love a curse or a cure? All I Want For Christmas is the Girl Who Can’t Love tells the story of a boy with so much love to give and a girl who doesn’t believe in it. From the moment she aggressively attacks a vending machine over a bottle of water, Jordan knows Savannah is different. Their friendship quickly deepens, but the more Savannah feels a connection to Jordan, the more she pulls away determined that there is no such thing as love, but rather attraction and biology disguised as such. Having grown up with nothing but a family curse that wreaks havoc on the relationships of her family members, Savannah is determined that love will never be a part of her life. Jordan, on the other hand, despite having already had his heart broken, is ready to risk it all again. Paralleling Jordan and Savannah’s story is the equally epic love story of William and Bex, a revolutionary soldier and the woman he loves.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book. After reading the provided summary, I knew it was the kind of story that was right up my alley. Within the first few pages I could quickly tell it was better, much better than what I had been anticipating. This was the first book I’ve read from this author, but it definitely won’t be the last. The complexity of her writing, her character development and her plot line all held my attention until the very end. Right from page one, I was lost in the world of Savannah, Jordan and the infamous curse, and then equally lost in the tale of William and Bex told entirely through letter format. Every scene felt like a movie, so well described it was as though I was right there with them.
My only mistake was having read this book first instead of the four that came before it since it is a series. However, it does work as a stand-alone as well and I can easily go back and read the ones that came before.
A charming story that makes you believe in love and magic, this is a perfect book to sit and read by the fire with a cup of cocoa and a cozy blanket. I highly recommend it.
