I have followed Jacey for around five years. I love her style and her content. I never knew her back story and I’m glad I read her book.
She has worked hard on her career and hardest on herself and she has come out a winner. She lays everything out, good, bad and ugly.
Bravo to her. All her hard work has payed off. I hope she has continued success. Even if you don’t follow her, her book has a great message. I want to thank NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest opinion.
I loved this book! Particularly the pieces around a parent experiencing addiction. I relate so deeply and feel so seen by this book.
I do think there was a fair amount of humble brag with this book. I've never heard of this lady, but the education was nice for someone who wants to be an influencer. I'm glad she ended the book by coming clean and recognizing what really matters in life.
Thank you so much to Netgalley for this advanced reader's copy for an honest review.
FANTASTIC READ! I love her story and how you don't have to be from a big city to be successful. Her farm girl upbringing to her entrepreneurial journey is so inspiring. The perfect read for those who may be experiencing self-doubt about starting anything new in their life. I can't wait to see the new heights she will take her brand on Instagram and beyond.
I read this on a whim, and while it is compulsively readable and entertaining, it didn't necessarily make me like Jacey Duprie all that much. She seems quite self-absorbed, though to be fair, is also aware of her flaws and open about them. Overall, an easy read.
As a fellow content creator who has followed along with Jacey Duprie's blog, Damsel in Dior for several years it was inspiring to read her story of self-acceptance. In a day and age when so many of us have low-self image, due to both outside factors and internal ones, I enjoyed reading how Jacey overcame her self-doubt and began to truly love herself for who she is and all she has to offer.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the early access to this book.
This book should inspire those to following their calling. It is never to late or to involved to being the journey. Easy to read to the point of being hard to put down. Thanks Jacey for being real!

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC of this book. Entrepreneur and lifestyle influencer Jacey Duprie shares her journey of going from farm girl to fashion icon and her lessons about personal growth and a self-made success.
Honestly, it was not a good fit for me. The day of "influencers" is sad to me. Get a real job and be proud of the changes you make to society then. This world has too many who are self-focused.

Before reading this Memoir I had no idea who the author was. I liked to read about people’s lives that are very different from mine. Duprie has made her career in social media. It was interesting to read about her career, but honestly I kept asking myself was it all worth it. She was constantly on the go and obsessed with getting the right shot or blogging about this or that. It took an immense toll on herself and her marriage.
She grapples with a lot and reveals much in the book. It’s a good lesson to remember: social media isn’t a,ways real, life.
